Mechanical Ventilation systems don't mix with your neighbours wood-fire burners

We have a Zehnder ComfoAir Q in our house. The device is located in our attic and the entry point is on the roof. Unfortunately many of our neighbours use wood-fire burners, and so despite using Zehnder 'FreshScent'filters we smell wood smoke coming into our house through the vents on many winter evenings. Zehnder should be much more upfront that ventilation systems should not be installed in areas with wood-fire burners as it is just not possible to filter out all the harmful PM2.5 particles they create, and so these particles enter your home and can damage your health (The Danish Council for a Good Indoor Climate recommends a ban on wood fire burners within 100m of buildings with mechanical ventilation). Our indoor air quality monitor often measures between 10-50 ug/m3 of PM2.5 during winter evenings when the safe limit is 5ug/m3 according to the WHO.

Pretty much no after sales support

Pretty much no after sales support. Spent several thousand pounds on a Q350 MVHR whole house ventilation that does not seem to do what Zehnder and their installers are promoting over the Internet.
After one month since the unit was started, still can't connect the control app on more than an older device that I only use to controll the thing and worst of all, the magic unit that is supposed to sort out your problems, turns your house into a sauna. Complained about this to my installer that is pushing it on Zehnder that replies to my concerns with the weather forecast in the area of their HQ.
Having got for the amount spent a load of mess, stress and humidity in the house, would kindly and strongly advise anyone that considers this company to run away and look someplace else. I would give you alternatives, but for the time being myself I'm not having any, just the huge regret of ever buying into Zehnder's fancy clips, empty promises and non-existent after sales support from the installers and company.

Unresolved billing error despite multiple e-mails ans calls

It has now been more than two months that I have been waiting for the correction of an incorrect invoice, which I still paid in order to avoid penalties. Despite sending over ten emails and making several calls to the customer service department, nothing has been done. I still haven’t received the correction related to the calculation error on my invoice. I am very disappointed by this lack of professionalism and consideration.

Responsive Customer Service

Had an issue with a broken ventilator and the technical/sales department could not have been more helpful finding the exact replacement part that I needed.

The required part was then sent out by first class post with no charge.

Quality fittings with excellent after sales.

Absolutely shocking aftersales service…

Absolutely shocking aftersales service from this company, I had a new bathroom installed and paid quite a bit extra to have a “better” radiator installed,2 years down the line and I noticed quite a large area of corrosion forming on the front of the “expensive radiator” now sadly the company who sold it to me and installed it had gone into administration. I contacted Zehnder customer services and emailed images as requested, they literally fobbed me off telling me to pursue the company whom I had purchased it from, how could I when they had ceased trading ?. Zehnder we’re not interested in the slightest. I will never purchase another Zehnder product and sadly I am unable to recommend their products .. Thanks Zehnder for my corroding expensive radiator !!!

Zehnder ComfoAir System

I had a problem with my Zehnder Air Circ system.
Gareth of Zehnder Group went out of his way to guide me through the process of correcting the fault.
It is rare to experience such professional and knowledgeable help to locate and fix the issue.
First class Company. First class product. First class support.

Poor customer support.

I purchased an expensive yucca decorative radiator from this company. I recently had to move it to a different location. However when it came to providing me with spare parts, the company simply dismissed my request (through their danish affiliated zehnder-systems.dk). This is not satisfactory.
