I ordered many times from Zalando, and I have never had any problems. The thing I like the most is that they make it really easy to repackage and return the items (stickers for return are included).

I ordered a pair of boots from Zalando and they came in LITERALLY the worst condition I have ever seen an item ever be in.
They looked proper used, they had HOLES in them, scratch marks all over and were dirty underneath.
Like you wouldn’t believe it.
I emailed them the pictures and everything and got a robotic answer back which they offered me only 100kr refund.
Like that you would even sell a pair of boots in that condition is utterly disgusting.
I have been a loyal customer for years, but I will never ever order from you again and I will spread this story and pictures everywhere on social media to show how you treat your customers.

I can't really understand all the bad reviews. I buy my clothes from Zalando 90% of the times, always good prices and good variety of styles to choose from. Zalando also has great fast shipping.

I trusted Zalando, until now
I have ordered from Zalando for many years and spent so much money on them, due to their good selection as well as good return and refund policies - however, a faulty system and poor customer service made me change my opinion about them.
So I placed an order i the beginning of May of 2020 which they reserved the amount on my bank as usual and 'officially' withdrew the money a week later. After about 3 weeks when I had already picked up my order from the pick-up point and was happy with everything they withdrew my order amount a second time (which I have double checked a million times now), but the bank never registered this except for withdrawing the amount from my account. So I contacted customers service at Zalando and told them, when they confirmed my suspicion about the double withdrawal and told me it was a system error. They told me they were going to send me the money back and 4 weeks later still nothing. I have asked them about this and they won't dignify me with answers or proper help.
So from now on, I refuse to buy from them again. It's a pity that they would drive away good paying customers to avoid having to admit to their mistakes.

I have been a customer for a few years and then suddenly all payment options became unavailable for me except paying directly from my bank account. If credit cards and other options are communicated at website they should be available for customers. Otherwise You do not provide customer with promised service.

I'm reading the comments here and laughing. I mean, I've been shopping from Zalando for the last 5 years and loving it! I have all of my favorite brands there, I can do my payments via PayPal, and when an item is returned, I get my money back after 21 days. I even had an instance with a pair of pants I bought in which they ripped after a few hours after I put them on, and I had a trip planned so I just sewed them and then a few days later the button just broke so I sent them back. I still got reimbursed for the ENTIRE amount. Since they added beauty items to their list of products I've become even more of a loyal customer.
Zalando.de - Beware of the trap
I have never experienced anything like this before and I don't want to experience it again. First a payment was reminded by zalando.de, which I had already made on time. They had simply been booked back to my account for an article. And when I reminded them of this on my part, the zalando.de office in Berlin (which is an official part of zalando SE as they claim on zalando. de) became impudent. When they finally had to admit, after weeks, that I had of course paid, they prevented me several times from closing my customer account. I got mail after mail with request for data from me, umpteen times with request for confirmation, otherwise one could not close the customer account. When I then tried to anonymize my data in the account itself, I got no access and only the message that password reset would unfortunately not work now. I now will send their mails to the german data protection officer to report this behavior there - this can be very expensive in Germany. Conclusion: Zalando - never again!
I am very disappointed in Zalando
I am very disappointed in Zalando, i was a faithful customer until one day they refused to return my payment. I returned my purchase and waited for my reimbursement but it never came back, when I contacted Zalando, the economy department said that they have sent the money to another account but insisted on that the account was mine.
And to this day, after over 10 telephone calls and 4 months, i still have not received my reimbursement.

Terrible like the worst that you can get.
I have spent thousands at this store, so much money it’s absurd. First they take away the option of “bills” and then credit cards, then debit cards, then paypal. And now they expect me to put in an order to maybe have it be sent out after it’s approved. Never once have I ever ever missed a payment, the vast majority of purchases I make are through paypal and all are pre-paid. Zalandos has taken away from me the ability to shop at their stores for absolutely zero reason at all, like none what so ever and then they use the most stupid excuse of their automated system. It makes me livid, like absolutely livid to the bone.
This is an absurd company.
They drive away paying customers who return regularly. At this rate, by the looks of trust pilot they will be going under eventually. I will close my accounts, I’ve deleted the app. Might as well since I cannot order from them anymore anyway. I did however order a lot from H&M after I did that because they now take paypal.

They received my return, and then they didn't...
Ok, so I am/was a good customer. Spent 1000s of euros there. That also means relatively a lot of returns. Lately a lot of clothes they sell are plain bad. So I have been doing a lot of returns. All I get is a ticket with a 3232 code on it. If I don't instantly write down on the ticket which clothes were in which return, I have no proof. It is otherwise impossible to link the code to an order. I returned an order for 300 euros a few weeks ago and still got a bill. I sent the only ticket I had with the return code on it. The first employee said the code did not work. Then I sent her a copy of the ticket with all the codes on it. Then all of a sudden she writes that the return had arrived but hadn't been processed well. She asked me to sign a legal form. So I did and I thought everything was alright. Then someone else responds and says that the codes I sent were linked to other orders! Ehm, no one asked you to check again! But firstly, the co-worker said the return had arrived! So someone seems to be lying OR Zalando doesn't know wt f they are doing. They also give some lame info on how to link the 3232 codes to customer references, which are completely different numbers... Ehm, hello, I only have the 3232 codes... how can I link them to a random number? They just do not understand my questions, they change their decisions, and personally, I think they show many signs of a company that is about to go bankrupt. Bad customer service, lots of problems with returns, bad quality of merchandise, lots of sales on their website... I think I'm done with Zalando now. I have the proof in the email that they got the return, and if I have to pay 300 euros for nothing I will file a complaint with the government.
