Hoped to replace virtual Skype number. After 2 weeks of constantly messaging them and jumping through so many hoops, my number was ported. Verifying identity was unnecessarily difficult. Important for you to know that unlike, Skype, you can only receive SMS messages and cannot send them. They were up front about this though. I don't understand how Skype worked and Zadarma does not. Customer service is there, but there is no desire to truly help you... they delivered what they promised, but it wasn't easy... Wish there was another company or product that was simple and easy...can't find.

I used Skype prior Zadarma. I had to switch because Skype will no longer provide a foreign number. It was a little chalenging to get the transfer done. But I am so happy with the quality of Zadarma. It works way better than Skype used to do. And it's also even cheaper. So I am thrilled!

Despite what other people have said here, i really like the service i get from Zadarma, most issues are caused by user error. They enabled me to a UK mobile number delivered to my phone without using a SIM card slot, so i can put a local SIM in Spain in my phone. Support has always been good and fast.

Scammers, their numbers do not qualify for whatsapp and various other services. You will be stuck with no access and a bill to pay. Customer care is laughable and will not get you anywhere. Avoid at all costs, there are other better and transparent providers out there that help your business grow.

I wanted to buy a virtual number from them. The website mentioned the price is 2 USD per month, INCLUDING TAXES, and that voice calls will be connected immediately. In reality, I was charged an extra 20% VAT, and it takes 2 work days to go through a verification process. The information on their website is misleading and false. I sent screenshots to the service via chat, and they said they would check it.
The connection process is highly incomprehensible. Verification is impossible via the computer because they need super clear pictures for it. But I was unable to enter the app to use my good smartphone camera because they needed special login info that I didn't have. The customer service people answer fast, but they only send you useless links to the website instead of explaining how to register. It's like talking to a bot.
Eventually, after wasting half a day trying to understand how to register, talking to service, and waiting for a verification (that never came), I asked for a refund of what I had paid and decided to connect to another service provider. If you plan on registering with them better clear a full day of work for this horrible process and be prepared for surprises and extra charges.
Addition: The website was always opened in the same country and without a VPN. It also showed me the same information when I re-entered the website from a link sent by the service representative. Additionally, on the company homepage, it is written "5 minutes to set up any service," which is clearly false. I wish there was a way to add screenshots to reviews.

Zadarma is a scam. I'll explain why. One of their conditions is that "no unauthorized manipulations of the image is allowed". This is so they can on-sell the information to third parties. I had written "Zadarma" and "JUMIO" (their billing company) on the scan to circumvent this - nothing obscured at all - just a text overlay in empty spaces - and they refused my application. Secondly – they said “submit an ID or passport”. I sent a very clear double-sided scan of my driver’s license. They then said; “No – we need your passport”. Instead of just asking for the passport up front, they are milking every ID out of you, one at a time. Did I mention they are based in Bulgaria? Scam, scam, scam. Submitted the exact same scan to another company. No problem.
EDIT: 1. "ID depends on verification needs". Fine, so tell us upfront. It is a common complaint against ZADARMA that they keep moving the goalposts. Create a page that tells which customers what ZADARMA will and won't accept.
What I didn't say above is that I also had to send a 'selfie' of both ID and my face. It is very hard to fake a hard license and my actual face, but that wasn't enough apparently.
2. "won't accept additional markings or text overlays". A criminal is going to alter a photo, change a date, add a number in a scan. Or just simply find one on the web. There are millions on there.
You know what would drastically cut identity theft? If you handwrote "ZADARMA" or whatever in a blank space. Hello? Can you not tell the difference between obvious handwriting and an altered or obscured detail on the ID? Calilio and Call.com could. A scam factory is the only explanation fitting the evidence.

The verification of documents took 2 days to process, just to fail because of "bad image quality". So I have to wait again now. Most other sites finish verification in a few seconds to minutes.
Also I already paid for the service before the verification, and the time period has already started, so I am paying for a service I cant use.
The customer support was far beyond useless and could not assist me in any way.

I bought an UK number (I paid a year) and I thought the prices would be accessible
but I made a mistake.
1. The uk number is not working and what I got was a Poland number. This is not what I bought
2. I did not receive the "free minutes" included in my plan
Do not waste your time and money!

the service is great technically and the prices are good but customer service are horrible. I get the feeling they can solve problems but for some reason don't want to, they prefer insulting customers as if we are stupid.

terrible service, after wasting my time for 7 days working on verification they sent me a notice that my account Is canceled, when I asked why they responded "Unfortunately"

Like many others have noted in their reviews this company will simply take your money and then block your account. I had mistakenly assumed that perhaps these other users had failed to provide the right ID. Nonetheless, despite completing the verification process including submitting a passport copy alongside a photo of me personally holding my passport. My account was automatically blocked 2 days later. Please note that not only will you lose money with this company but more importantly you may end up losing a great deal of time setting up systems to use your number only to have it blocked. I have of course attempted to contact support multiple times to resolve this, but again as others have pointed out the customer service is both rude and unhelpful. I do not often post reviews but felt compelled to do so in this case. I would strongly advise not using this company, you are basically giving them your identity and banking details for nothing in return. And, as a Bulgarian based company you have no recourse whatsoever.

Their customer service is fast but rude, they only send you links from their web page and tell you to "read" or stuff like "Everything is in the page, what do you don't understand?". Also I think it's interface is 0 user friendly so I needed a lot of help to learn how to use it and at the end the service wasn't what I needed.

I have a free version of the CRM and have been using it for about two months. Today, I tried to log-in and the system has locked me out because, according to the help team, "You have not paid for the PBX."
Nowhere in their terms of service does it say I am required to pay for PBX to use the free version of their CRM.

Avoid Zadarma unless you are a masochist!
1. Pathetic customer service! Use this company if you want to waste hours of your time with indifferent staff who don't understand English and can't be bothered to assist.
2. Unecessarily complex user interface! Use this company if you want to waste more hours of your time trying to figure out how to configure their systems.
3. Unreliable service! Use this service if you want to force your customers to make several attempts to call your number which doesn't work.

Zadarma's reliability of their phone servers have been terrible... The loose connection and disconnect the call all the time. Often I'll end up hearing some random person on the other end.

Switched there after Skype stopped their old service... However Zadarma's service and the reliability of their phone servers have just been abysmal... often just loosing the connection or even disconnecting mid call (despite my internet connection being flawless)...
