I had no complaint on the ordering and…

I had no complaint on the ordering and the actual food itself. I made a mistake and let my children pay the delivery driver and they gave him thr full £50 we had in the savings pot (from selling their trampoline) and he didn’t give the correct change. He paid them as if he had received a £40. There was major arguments in the house between the children - the 16 year old that handed over the £50 (2x £20 and 1x 10) to the child of just 12 years who didn’t realise the change they should have received. The driver pocketed the extra £10- it’s completely dishonest. I called the restaurant within seconds to alert them of the error my children made by over paying but they said they would only be able to calculate it when the driver came back. He who understandably didn’t want to look like he was being dishonest gave them the exact change he should have had. We’ll obviously survive the loss and chalk it up to a learning experience our end. But will make it clear the driver was dishonest and a total thief to naive child who didn’t know better.

My husband and I have just had the most…

My husband and I have just had the most delicious takeaway from Yummy, Ashford. The portions were generous, well cooked and reasonably priced. We really do, sincerely recommend this Chinese.
The website was easy to navigate to order and the food was delivered right on time. An excellent meal.

My first and last time in yummy restaurant

After they made me pay and not even apology for the mistake.the food wasn’t cooked properly specially the eggs and my little girl had ham cheese sandwich and instead of chips they give her salad very disappointing not recommend it at all

This was my first order with yummy- and…

This was my first order with yummy- and my last- what a disappointment it was!!
Bread rolls open both packets,
Pork n apple burgers looked like they had been sat on!
The turkey , sausage rolls, chipolatas, ham haslet- all short dates
The only good dates were steak pies, jacket potatoes and the Skegness blue!!

I was really looking forward to my FIRST YUMMY ORDER-SADLY MY LAST!!

I am sorry you have given us a 1-star review.

Thank you for supplying photos via email, we have reviewed all the photographs and cannot see anything wrong with any of the products supplied.

You mention the dates on these products, but we cannot see any issues with these either. As explained on the telephone today, all our products are clearly labelled on the site with their shelf lives and all products are checked prior to packaging.

We do package all products as efficiently as possible for delivery, however some products can unfortunately be affected in transit.

We are a local, friendly dedicated team and your 1-star review is very damaging to the local suppliers we work with. I would politely ask once more that you remove this as we have fulfilled all our obligations to you.

We have always been extremely happy…

We have always been extremely happy with our yummy orders in the past. How ever our last experience left us wondering if to continue shopping with them.
Our order arrived by courier he wasn't as polite or helpful as the yummy delivery men were and when we asked him about taking our old boxes away replied, " don't do that any more" and promptly left.
Also despite having handle with care written on our boxes,one of them was bashed on the top.
My husband e- mailed yummy directly to ask them to collect boxes and they never even bothered to reply. So very disappointed shoppers!!!!

We are sorry to receive your 3 star review and read your comments. Can I please ask what email address your husband contacted us through, Our Customer Care team respond to all emails we receive through and unfortunately I cannot see an email that has been missed discussing this kind of issue.

We have moved to DPD for our deliver service as our Yummy Managers were working long hours that long-term were not healthy or viable for the business and we are looking at our packaging further so that our products arrive to our customers in the best way possible.

As we are now using DPD unfortunately as you can appreciate we can no longer take boxes back as they will not be returned to our warehouse, however we have altered our packaging to make it possible for our customers to recycle this at home.

Please feel free to give us a call if you wish to discuss this further.

Would recommend to anyone

I am so impressed with all the amazing choices of fresh produce! So many great quality foods and all locally sourced. They have a customer service team and the whole site is set up to be easy to use by anyone. Will definitely be ordering again soon.

AVOID

ordered the large BBQ box 6 days ago for delivery today for some friends , and it was a no show , no explanation no warning , no contact , friends now have to make alternative arrangements for their dinner tonight
EDITED TO ADD as you can see below they said it would be delivered by 8pm , and still a no show at 20:30 AND they have blocked me on FaceBook but below ask me to remove my review

Hi Darren,

We are so sorry to have received our first one star review since we launched over one year ago. Your complaint is that your order has not arrived on time. The order is due to arrive between 8 am and 8 pm.

You have put this one star complaint in at 7:20pm on the day that the parcel should arrive.

As far as Yummy is concerned we have done everything that we possibly can and we have doublechecked with DPD for you. They have told us that the package will be delivered before 8 pm as per the order. If this doesn’t happen please get in contact and we will then contact DPD again and arrange for it to be delivered tomorrow.

UPDATE

We have now heard back from DPD. They have informed us that their tracking system had gone down and that your box was put on the wrong consignment. They have accepted full responsibility and have delivered your order the following morning. We have give you a FULL REFUND, with several apologies and have politely asked you to remove this 1 star rating, or at the very least increase it.

We are local, friendly dedicated team and your one star review is very damaging to us. I would politely ask once more that you remove it.

Top service, ready to go the extra mile

Top quality food delivered on time and with a smile. We had a small problem with one missing item however they rectified it so quickly and helpfully and the supplier Lincolnshire smokehouse even threw in some extras to make up for it. I would have no reservations in recommending yummy (and the Lincolnshire smokehouse!!)

Didn't disappoint

Sometimes when you are excited about trying something for the first time you are left a little disappointed when you finally get to experience what you have been looking forward to - not with Yummy. I ordered my first box after seeing it in an email ad. I love supporting local companies and really enjoy my food too so for me it was a win win. From receiving the delivery (which was on time, delivered by a really nice chap) to the packaging which is really clever - you get to give it all back with your next order, to the actual produce - all 100%. The food itself was amazing. One box lasted 3 days and we enjoyed every mouthful. I cannot recommend this service high enough. Good luck with this venture, I will be booking again soon - the only problem is there is so much choice - what to choose next?

YUMMY is the word! Excellent produce straight to my door.

I've been using YUMMY for a while now - ever since the first lockdown, and will definitely continue to do so, even when this is over. Their delivery is always on time (and I'm talking even through the deepest snow) and their delivery guys are courteous and always wear a mask and keep a safe distance. The produce is great quality. Their fruits and vegetables are all beautifully fresh and seem to keep way longer than supermarket bought stuff (try the Marfona potatoes - gawd they're good!). There's a great choice of butchers, bakers and speciality goods, all local Lincolnshire firms - and its so easy to order online. Personally, I can't recommend highly enough the delicious Smokehouse chicken, brisket and ribs. And the fishmongers selection, like dressed crab and Cod Wellington. Yummy is the word!

Such a treat.

Received my delivery promptly. It was delivered following covid rules by a very friendly gentleman. Item's were of a very good quality and packed with clear instructions for each item.
I particularly want to mention the lincoln Smoke House food. It was excellent and such a treat to enjoy what we expect from a meal out, at home. It was easy to prepare and very generous with the portion sizes.

Great produce, great service, great idea.

Our first tie of using yummy.co.uk and we have been very impressed with the standard of the produce delivered. The gentleman who delivered was very polite, courteous and helpful. In these uncertain times having provisions delivered to your door is very helpful. We would highly recommend this company and look forward to placing our next order.

another quality delivery

Received another delivery this morning. In spite of the foul weather conditions, Jez arrived as cheerful as ever, even though he was dressed in shorts! All the products are top quality and in these frightening times, it is so convenient to have your shopping brought straight to your door. I can’t recommend Yummy highly enough.

Excellent Customer Service

I ordered Christmas treats for my parents and had questions regarding delivery; the response from yummy was swift and questions answered without hesitation. Customer service here could shame big companies.

I wanted to find a company that highlighted the best of Lincolnshire’s products and supported local businesses and I found it. yummy is progressive, and I am looking forward to discovering more.

It’s easy to be a satisfied customer…

It’s easy to be a satisfied customer when things go perfectly but the real essence of the company values are demonstrated when things don’t go quite right.

Today I received an item in my box which didn’t match my expectation, I emailed the enquiry address to raise my concern. I was surprised, albeit pleasantly when within 15 minutes I received a telephone call from the Yummy Manager to apologise and to inform me the item would be replaced the same day. Despite my protestation that it could wait until my next order, I was told it was on its way.

I received an email response from the Managing Director within the hour and the replacement product was delivered within three hours.

If a company is judged by how it responds when something isn’t quite right then today Yummy demonstrated beyond doubt it is a five star service and for one product out of the 250 I have had delivered over the previous weeks to not quite meet my expectation, it clearly demonstrates the excellent quality control systems and consistency in delivering high quality local products.
