Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 107 reviews, reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Many customers appreciate the opportunity to report empty properties and receive a thank-you voucher, often an Amazon or M&S gift card, for their efforts. People find the process of submitting property details easy and straightforward, with many noting the quick turnaround for receiving their initial £20 voucher. Reviewers are also motivated by the potential to earn a percentage of the sale price if the company successfully purchases and renovates the reported property, seeing it as a good way to contribute to community redevelopment. However, some customers expressed strong disapproval of the company's business model, questioning their right to incentivize individuals to report empty homes and raising concerns about the impact on property shortages. A few other people also felt that the pricing of properties was unclear or that company representatives were dismissive when questioned about certain aspects of their operations.

Easy to report empty derelict…

Easy to report empty derelict properties. I have had lots of £20 amazon vouchers as rewards and used them with no problem online. Wish all companies were this easy to earn money from. I would highly recommend. Fingers crossed they manage to buy some of the properties so I get another reward!

This company is great

This company is great, I filled out a simple form and uploaded a picture of the derelict property, which is next door to me along with that form. I received a confirmation email immediately and then, a few weeks later received an email to say that they were completing searches in regards to land registry and what not. Then today approx 4-5 weeks after submitting the form I have had an email with a £20 amazon gift voucher enclosed and hopefully now they may get to purchase the property from the owners and get occupied again in time.

Genuine company

Read about this company in an article on the web. Spotted a derelict property, reported it and got a £20 Amazon voucher. Very happy to report on derelict properties, we need to get them renovated and back on the market, too many people out there needing homes.

Excellent

I reported a property next door to me that had been vacant for years. I wasn't really expecting to hear back but I recieved an email a few days later to say that the property I reported met the criteria and that I would recieve a £20 amazon voucher. A week or so later I received my voucher!

I didn’t get any money from the sale but I was sent a £20 m&s voucher.

After seeing this company advertising I sent them photos of a few derelict houses, one out of the three submissions I sent to them came back as successful so thought I would get 1% of the house sale. 🧐
But I had a £20 m&s voucher instead. I was disappointed but at least I got a new top.🤓

Reply from You Spot Property

Hi Adele thanks for your review, would 3 stars be considered harsh given that the 1% is only when we buy the property which may still happen but in any event one of your spotted properties still was rewardable and you revived £20

Trustworthy

Submitted an empty property a while ago and honestly had completely forgotten about it thinking it was probably a scam! However have just received and claimed my £20 voucher so will definitely be submitting more going forward! Great company.

Such a good idea!

My sister told me about this company and I must admit I was quite sceptical, but I received a prompt response when I reported a property round the corner from my house. I got an M&S voucher really quickly.
It's frustrating when properties lie empty for years, particularly when there are so many people in need of a home.
I think this is a brilliant idea.

Fantastic idea

I came across this company when I was scrolling on Facebook, I initially thought it was too good to be true so I actually searched the company up on Trustpilot and was impressed and actually forwarded their advert to some family and friends. It just so happened that a property across from mine had been vacant for over 2 years. I took some photos 16/5/25 and popped in the required details and submitted. I received a prompt email back thanking me for my submission and that they would investigate. I have just now received a £20 gift voucher to use on Amazon 04/6/25. It's amazing to think you have the potential to earn 1% commission if they purchase the property. You certainly don't have anything to lose by keeping your eyes open on your travels for potential properties.

Thank you

I spotted a property and reported it back in 2023. I received my voucher quickly but could see that the house remained neglected and unsold. Imagine my surprise when I received the email in 2025 telling me the property had been purchased and they wanted to send me some money. After all this time the company didn’t forget me. I gave my details and was paid within 48 hours. I’m off to look for more sad looking properties now!
Thank you You Spot Property.

Spotted a property locally and reported

Spotted a property locally and reported it to 'You Spot Property'. Turned out the house was in fact derelict and I received my amazon voucher yesterday. A company I stumbled across on social media, genuine and stick to their word.

Highly recommend this company

Heard about this company through Martin Lewis website and thought I would give it a go as I knew of an empty property near where I live. Sent in photos of the property after confirmation that the property was empty I then received an email to say that I was getting a £20 voucher. Highly recommend using this company.

Trustworthy and legitimate

After hearing about this company on a TV ad, I was a little sceptical but as a dog walker I had noticed a few properties that looked empty.
I reported them and they were pretty swift in advising if they were viable or not. It took a few months but I have received my first gift voucher so they were true to their word!
Definitely worth submitting to them as the process is quick and easy - you have nothing to lose!
