Having spoken to HMRC for advice following the death of my Mum they told me what forms I needed…. the forms were multiple, long and confusing as where the notes to help you fill in the forms !!!
This platform just seemed too good to be true which is what I said to Tom when I phoned to enquire . He was very informative and reassuring about how and why it works and reassured me there is constant support during the whole process of completion.
I sat with the HMRC forms one more time, gave up again and then I registered on the platform which took minutes , paid my £499 and I never looked back .
It really does all the work for you and yes on the couple of occasions I did need guidance Tom was there calling me back after logging a support call within half an hour .
Completed the platform …. Probate forms then all printed off from the information you have already input and then just a trip to the post office to post and then peace of mind !!
Now I’m just waiting for it to be processed by the Probate office .

The staff team were supportive and return calls were reasonably prompt, its important to account for other customers feeling swamped by the experience too. The online forms were clear and the finance running totals displayed at the top of the form so calculations are as exact to the info you put in to the form. I liked the fact that I felt more confident in completing probate, that I did not feel silly when asking questions. The team are respectful and account for the emotional situation you fnd yourself in.

Superb, easy to follow instructions where data and calculations are generated for you once required fields are inputed. Advise was available quickly , in my case one concise call to Tom( many thanks).
The grant of probate was approved by email in one week with no IHT. The formal paperwork takes a further ten days.

You can do probate made the whole process so much easier.
The platform guides you along the way with helpful explanations to questions that you may not understand.
Even if you are stuck or confused by anything you can give them a call or online chat and they are happy to help.
I really cant fault this service and at a fraction of the cost compared to solicitors.

I would highly recommend YouCanDoProbate. I had originally been quoted thousands by the Co-op legal team. It was an extortionate amount, and I thought “Is it really that difficult?” After Googling I came across YouCanDoProbate and read the reviews. At first I thought “What’s the catch?” I did more research to check out the company more, and indeed everything looked genuine, because it is! I signed up, and simply followed all the sections. The web layout/dashboard is very clear and user friendly. Keen to make sure I was accurate in my thinking, I did use the e mail questioning a couple of times. The responses were very quick and thorough, explaining everything clearly and in simple terms. At the end, all forms are generated ready to print. Having spoken to friends who had lost parents recently, they have said all the information they had to provide to a solicitor was the same as I simply had to tap in. They paid the thousands I had been quoted. You can obviously do all this independently, and simply fill in forms yourself, without using YouCanDoProbate even. But if you are like me thinking “Can I do this? What happens if I get it wrong?” Then YouCanDoProbate gives you the easy web layout, all the calculation functions and the ease of a form completed. This service took the fear out of the process as I didn’t feel alone with no support. I also feel proud of myself that I have managed to achieved this without being ripped off by legal companies who want to take a percentage of the estate. Once submitted, my application was processed within 3 weeks, it flew through, which proves it must have been accurate. I would definitely recommend and use again if I ever needed to complete probate in the future.

Clear, easy to follow information and instructions on the website; helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff who were quick to respond to all of my queries either on the phone or by email; really speeded up and simplified the process of applying for probate.

I was able to take my time filling in all the details required, completing parts of the form as and when I was able. The guide notes were very helpful, although I had trouble fully understanding the requirement at times.

YouCanDoProbate was great and took you carefully through all the questions & areas that are needed to complete and submit Probate forms and calculate any IHT payable. It may seem a daunting task, but taking it one section at a time, I was able to complete and obtain probate saving thousands in Solicitors fees. Most of the information you are going to have to obtain yourself, even if using a Solicitor.

This made a very difficult time and task painless. I had a few queries which were answered very efficiently. The whole process from start to finish and obtaining probate was 6 weeks.

I received my Grant of Probate two weeks after using this service. It was incredibly simple to use, the instructions and prompts were clear and concise. All the calculations were done for me. So much quicker than using a solicitor and much much cheaper. I made the application in between Christmas and New Year when most solicitors would have been closed. Probate was granted on 5th January. Using this service was money well spent.

I was quoted thousands to outsource the probate process. I thus thought whether I could do it myself. After doing some research it did seem possible. I came across the YCDP website and the rest is history. The process was easy to follow and help via messaging was super fast. It cost £500 (+£301 for HM Probate department) which was £££ less than the other options. If you feel your sources of potential inheritance are fairly clear then I am happy to recommend YCDP

The whole process was very straight forward.

I was dreading Probate but ‘You Can Do Probate’ really made things easier. If I had any problems I could request a call to help me with questions. I requested a call about 3 times, and each time somebody call me and sorted out my questions and put my mind as ease. I think I spoke to Tom a couple of times very helpful. You can do bits at a time you don’t have to do the whole thing all at once. Thoroughly recommend.
