Delay in delivery of Yorkville Hamper

I ordered a hamper for my son in Banff, Canada. The company responded promptly to my emailed queries regarding the delivery, which I was pleased with. However, the hamper never arrived. The response was that it had been delivered "and redirected to the recipient's new address". There was no new address; my son has been at the same address the whole time; the address, phone number, and post code were all correct, and housemates were home. There was no delivery. Subsequent enquiries were met only with "It has been delivered; Please coordinate to the courier to know the exact information where the order be delivered." I wish I had checked reviews first. I see that my experience is not unusual, and would urge anyone to avoid this company; total rip-off.

I am now updating this with an apology to Yorkville's. My son eventually tracked down the hamper to the Post Office, although Tracking had said that it had been "forwarded to his new address" (there was no new address). The package was excellent, really lovely items, including a couple of extra items I had added. Therefore, I would give the hamper itself 5/5, but say that Yorkville's really need to improve their delivery and communication.

Reply from Yorkville's Gift Baskets

We want to sincerely apologize for the frustration and disappointment regarding your son's gift in Banff. We understand how distressing it is when a delivery does not reach its intended destination, especially when all the provided information was correct.

Regarding your request, we have carefully reviewed the tracking information provided by the courier, which confirms the order as delivered. Because we rely on the courier's official confirmation as proof of fulfillment, we are unable to issue a refund at this time. We understand this is not the news you were hoping for, and we regret the frustration this policy causes.

We are currently reviewing our internal procedures to improve how we support our customers when courier discrepancies occur, ensuring we remain true to the level of service we strive to provide.

Caveat Emptor

The company a) didn't ship the gift until I prompted them, b) didn't provide what was paid for. Requested reimbursement for shipping costs & the cost of the actual gift sent. They refused. Submitted a claim with BBB. This is what BBB told me, "Your Better Business Bureau (BBB) has made several attempts to contact the business regarding your complaint. We regret to inform you that we have not received a response at this time, and this case has now been closed as an UNANSWERED complaint in their file. BBB develops and maintains BBB Business Profiles on companies across the United States and Canada. This information is available to the public and is frequently used by potential customers. In the case of your complaint, the business's failure to promptly give attention to the matter will be reflected in the Business Profile."

Thank you for providing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the delays in shipping your order and for the discrepancy between what was purchased and what was received. We understand how frustrating it is when a gift does not meet expectations or arrive on schedule.

Regarding your request for a full reimbursement of the shipping and gift costs, please note that per our refund policy, all sales are final and we are generally unable to offer refunds once an order has been fulfilled. However, we take all feedback regarding our service and product accuracy very seriously.

We acknowledge your comments regarding the communication with the BBB. We are committed to reviewing our internal processes to ensure that all customer concerns are addressed with the attention and promptness they deserve.

Watch out Scam!

Watch out Scam!
I should have done my homework. I ordered their Globetrotter Premium Basket and paid extra for a Glenlivet 12 yr Scotch. The Basket was a Globe decanter, cigars, gourmet peanut brittle and my high end liquor.

Was was sent was embarrassing. A bottle of Jim Beam bourbon, 6 glasses, a glass decanter, 2 cheap cigars and a ballpark bag of brittle clusters. I was ripped off! And they will claim they have a right to substitute upon your order should they need to based on the timing in which you want your order to go out.
And they downgrade their substitutions, hard.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Christmas gift sent to a friend was not delivered. They said it was, but provided no evidence. They then simply argued with me that it was delivered taking I presume a 3rd party company's word over mine. Refused to give me a refund, credit or even an apology.

Don't use this company.

My gift arrived in a crushed and ripped box. The gift was to ship 12/26/24, but arrived around January 8, 2025. The fresh fruit was frozen because they didn't bother to call to notify me of the delivery. I'm so sad for the person who sent this thoughtful gift only to have it ruined. Customer Service takes zero responsibility for crushed and ripped state of my gift even though I sent photos. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Please refrain from ordering from here

Please refrain from ordering from here. I should have looked up the reviews before ordering. I ordered a cake for my brothers birthday. Firstly it allowed me to pick a date which they couldn't deliver on and when proceeded to deliver the next day (I only realised this once the confirmation email came through). It was then delivered in a completely destroyed state, was very hot (no cooling box) and on top of that I was told I could not ask for compensation becasue it was 24 hours after delivery even though I provided ample photos as well as a screenshot of the conversation with my brother with the timestamps of exactly when he got the delivery. Extremely dissapointing customer service to top it off.

I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my recent order and the way I was treated. I strongly advise against ordering from this company. They failed to take responsibility for their mistakes and only responded with generic replies.

The situation involved a special gift for my daughter, who was away from home on her birthday for the first time. I ordered a gift from the Seattle branch and, at checkout, added a cake as an extra. I specifically requested that the cake be delivered on August 17th, and this was confirmed by the company. However, the gift was delivered a day early, on August 16th, to the mailroom, with no notification sent to my email or phone. When my daughter found the gift, the cheesecake was covered in mold and smelled unpleasant.

Instead of addressing the issue, the company, including representatives Robert and Rica, asked for a picture of the moldy cheesecake, despite the tracking information clearly showing that it was left on the floor of the mailroom on August 16th. The lack of accountability and the poor customer service have left me very dissatisfied. Avoid ordering from them.

Poor Quality Products and Customer Service

I echo recent negative reviews and would not recommend this company to anyone. The products received were far inferior to those advertised, and the fruit was spoiled. They hide behind their terms and agreements, which are buried under the FAQ section. My attempt to resolve via email finally resulted in being offered a 50% refund on the value of 4 bananas, 2 pears and 1 orange. Their business model seems to be bait and switch, and then deflect with endless emails referring to terms and agreements and asking for more evidence.

Never again

I should have done more research and read online reviews before ordering. Only concern now is if my credit card information is in secure hands or not as I placed an order on July 18th and it still hasn't arrived. Terrified at what will be delivered now.

They hide behind Ts&Cs

I added things to the delivery to make it bespoke to the recipient. And there was nothing that was delivered that matched to what I’d requested.

They’ll hide behind there terms and conditions, but this is the biggest snake oil company known to man.

Please no one buy from this company.

Rip off, do not use!

I ordered a pirate captains box with several extras added for a bday. I needed it delivered on a specific date to a hotel we were staying at for only one night. I paid extra to ensure it would get there on that day as we would be not be returning to the delivery address after that date. I never received a confirmation for my purchase so I had to check in with them that it would be delivered and they did indeed have my order, I was told yes they had it and all the details were correct. When the date rolled around, the basket was not delivered. I got in contact with them again that same day and they responded that it had been delayed. I told them I had paid extra and explained my circumstances again. They apologized and when I asked for a refund or change of delivery address they stopped responding. I have no idea if the package was ever delivered, the original delivery address has told me they never received it and now they won't respond to me so I'm out a few hundred dollars. Don't be fooled by the website and positive reviews they probably made up on their site, the company has terrible customer service, very little communication and will not refund you when it's not delivered. If I could give 0 stars I would but it's not an option.

Yorkvilles.com is a scam

Yorkvilles.com is a scam. Spent a substantial amount on what was supposed to be a luxury gift basket for a corporate gift. I was appalled at the items received and embarrassed. The company hid behind their substitution policy (although when ordering on the site -- the basket showed as 'in stock'). Items received were completely different than advertised -- looked like junk I could find at my local Dollar Store. The 'Teak' cutting board delivered was cheap pine, and the oven safe crockery for brie was a chipped ceramic plate not even microwave safe. Customer Service was dismal - a zero would be an appropriate rating.

I had an excellent experience with Yorkville's - I was quite worried given the reviews but the Easter gift I ordered for my daughter arrived on time, beautifully presented with the expected items. The driver left a nice message on her mobile to let her know it was at her mailroom. Very happy.

I wish I could give a 0 rating

I wish I could give a 0 rating! This company didn't deliver an item I ordered (for a friend who was going through a difficult time). I had to contact THEM in order to find a new delivery time, which they said I would have to pay for (even though they never contacted the recipient to determine an appropriate delivery window, nor did they try to leave it with the super/office of the apartment complex WHICH THEY COULD HAVE DONE). They ultimately said the item (which was a potted evergreen tree) was perishable and therefore not refundable, even though a) on their website it says it will last FOR FORTY YEARS and b) they said in their initial email that it is fine to be delivered at a future date. NEVER order from these scammers. I went with an actual florist (after wasting 80 bucks with these jerks) and all went smoothly. They call themselves "Yorkville's" (and, btw it seems like "Hazelton's" and "Bloom" are the same company, as their websites are nearly identical) to make it seem like they're a small local business, but they're obviously a large-scale company based in Scarborough. I should have done a little more research. Lesson learned - always go with a small local florist. Better products, better customer service, and supporting local small business.

Total waste of time

Total waste of time. Says they deliver to Buenos Aires. Got through the customization of the product. Entered address, tried to proceed, doesn't work. Wasted 20 minutes on a site that doesn't work.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are liars and cheats and will cheap out and use their substitution policy as a scapegoat for their deception. We sent out 8 executive gifts and what they received was horrendous compared to the photos, and I am embarrassed that we sent these to people. The real vs the photo is night and day and the substitutions was appalling, like they went to dollar general and created a basket.

They delivered rotten/wilted roses for my 101 year old, WWII vet, father. They refused to accept responsibility and, even with photo proof are calling my father a liar - refusing to do the easy thing and simply replace the flowers.

They are a scam and we lost around $450 with them.
Our delivery was supposed to come 1 month ago and it didn't arrive. Call them- voice message, Email - no response. I chat with the customer service rep and asked for a refund since they don't even know when my product is going to arrive, they say no refund even it is their fault. So I checked their T&C and it does say no entitlement to refund whatsoever. So I asked them to give me the ETA on this product, and the answer was "we don't know". Hence, this might take another month or maybe will never arrive.

This company DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS SO DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND ENERGY HERE.
