I've used Lee and his team at YorkshireAV for a number of upgrades to my home cinema over the past few months. I've found them knowledgeable and responsive to my enquiries. They've also given me a fair price on trade-in items.

They've come to my home and installed all of the speakers, including some wall and ceiling-mounted ones, with care and attention. Lee also spent a considerable amount of time calibrating the subwoofers using REW, which has transformed the sound in my room. He even gave me a bit of a lesson in what he was trying to do.

If you are spending a significant amount of money on your AV/hi-fi setup then there is a reasonable expectation that the buying experience should show you that you are a valued customer. Lee and his team get this, unlike some of my more local companies, and for this reason I will continue to use them in the future. Highly recommended.

I purchased a Cyrus XR Power Amp - my second from Yorkshire AV.

Cyrus have recently discontinued this range which has upset some people. I don't know this should be but I can only guess that they are more interested in owning the latest models rather than listening to the music through a good system.

I found out through Lee on Facebook that he had one XR Power Amp left. I commented that it was possible that I might buy it. Lee immediately messaged me that he was away for a few days but that someone was in the shop but closed on Monday. The price was set at a brilliant discontinued clearance level.

On Sunday I decided to buy, paid for it with DPD delivery - DPD are in my view one of the best couriers - and awaited delivery.

Sent on Tuesday and arrived on Wednesday, installed on Thursday after re-arranging the hifi table. Music played through my Cyrus Stream XR, XR preamp with the added power amp and Proac Response D2R speakers. Very good straight out of the box and will be better when run in.

The first track played was the 1812 Mercury Label with living presence stereo - a 1958 recording I believe. At 1:52 when the drum comes in what a sound - even through the two-way stand mounted ProAcs.

I have used Yorkshire AV several times over the last six months. I have met all their staff in this time and they are a very friendly and knowledgeable bunch and have no hesitation in recommending them for either the purchase of new gear or selling of your old gear. The showroom is nicely set out with a large range on display for viewing and demonstration in a converted barn setting. No complaints from this happy customer.

Recently bought an AVA Cinema remote control through Lee @ Yorkshire AV. Super quick response to my enquiries and questions which helped to make an informed purchase, plus a follow up to ensure everything delivered and setup. Will be making some further purchases in future, just wish I lived closer to the showroom!

After seeing my first review they was in contact to send me a new foot for my Emotiva t2+ saying next day delivery this was on 16th of november but still haven't received it i just give up will never use or recommend them to anyone.

Wow. What a magnificent experience I have had with this shop! The customer service is second to none. The variety of HIFI gear is also spectacular.

There is the high high end stuff, and there is the more reasonably priced stuff. The staff treats you the same regardless of your budget. They treated me with respect and went out of their way to facilitate my HIFI needs, even though I wasn't spending mega money with them.

The team were happy with direct contact via the Facebook messenger, and even replied to me well out of hours. Now that is amazing customer service.

Purchased Focal Stellia headphone, the staff is very nice, I've physically tested the headphone in store, very nice place with a lot of gears, I'll come back again for next purchase.

I was searching online for a new pair of headphones for myself and a present for my brother and found the brilliant Quality Mitchell and Johnson brand on sell (a great British company who sadly ceased business before brexit) on Yorkshire AV website. I found the website very professional and easy to search and well presented. Fantastic prices on quality audio equipment. Postage was excellent and I received my products with next day delivery. I highly recommend a visit to the website you won't be disappointed.

I was looking for a class AD amplifier without a DAC and settled on the Hifi Rose RA280. Marvellous piece of kit that is already controlling my PMC speakers with more authority.
I saw that Yorkshire AV had it in stock online and drove to buy it so I could have it for the weekend. True to word it was in stock, so it was a quick purchase.

They sell independent brands / boutique type equipment compared to the usual fair. It makes them more interesting when doing research.

Showroom is pleasantly unusual, situated in an old barn in a village just off the M62. Parking right outside.
The demo rooms look realistic, like a lounge/living room should be.

The fact that they do trade in means I can consider a possible upgrade in the future.
