Really lovely roast dinner but error on recipe card
Really lovely roast dinner but we ate 30 mins later than expected because the recipe card said 6 mins to cook pigs in blankets but they were uncooked so needed 30 mins, if we had eaten them after 6 mins we would have been very unwell. Without this error I would have scored a 5.

The meat and fish was not cold on delivery
The meat and fish was not cold when delivered so unable to use the food as it would be a food poisoning risk. I sent an email and had no response from them so really disappointed as the recipes looked nice but the delivery packaging need addressing and I still haven’t heard back from them regarding my complaint and feedback

Terrible customer service, concerns over quality and use by dates of food
We have ordered two boxes, and have had issues with both boxes. The first we received part of our order and part of someone else’s which given the current COVID situation was extremely worrying. After we advised of the error the boxes were swapped (we were told they would be disinfected before swapping) however no apology was given and we were asked by the delivery driver to return both boxes even though one was correct. After giving our incorrect box we then couldn’t be given a time when we would receive the rest of our delivery though we did get this a few hours later. The 2nd delivery included fish which after being in the fridge for 2 days smelt terrible we checked the date and it had been delivered past it it’s use by date! We messaged yes chef but did not get a response so we called and then were told a manager would contact us. I. Our message we said: Hi we purchased a delivery box which we received last Friday however one of the fish products was 2 days out of date by the time we received it and is therefore inedible. This is understandably very disappointing and potentially dangerous (if we hadn’t spotted the date). This is only the 2nd delivery box we have received from you, the first (the week before) we only received part of our order as it was mixed up with another customers (which was rectified, after we contacted you). Given these issues we will not be continuing with the subscription. We received the following in response: Good morning, thank you for your message. The first date is when the fish was packaged, the middle is when the fish should be eaten by fresh and the final is the frozen by date.We can see the middle use by date was 30th March, the frozen date is 25th March 2022. In reply we advised: Thank you for coming back to me, if that is the case the packaging is very misleading. The fish also smelt terrible on Sunday 28th (even in the sealed plastic and foil outer wrapper) which is why we believe it was out of date. The salmon we received for another meal did not smell in this way and neither have other fish (frozen and fresh) we have had previously. We left the fish in the fridge until today (31st) and had to seal again in a plastic bag to dispose of this today (on bin day). Again the smell was horrific. I really do believe the 25th date was when it was last fresh. This message has not been responded too. The apparent lack of customer care is very disappointing as most of the recipes are good and plentiful although often the garlic and ginger are past their best as are some of the herbs. We have used Hello Fresh and Gusto before and would 100% recommend Hello Fresh for customer service, quality and choice (as well as the ability to see nutritional content and recipe information before ordering). Sadly given our experiences we would not recommend Yes Chef boxes.

Recipes are good but ingredients hit and miss. Fish arrived a bit wiffy and had to eat straight away, pepper and avocado both completely smashed. This despite a lot more (and less biodegradable) packaging then similar schemes.

The recipe card seem to miss vital steps...
The recipes can be quite bland even after ordering quite adventurous dishes.
The cards seem to miss vital steps, especially in the buckwheat and mushroom risotto.
Other than that, they’re not too bad!

Box received but with some items…
Box received but with some items missing and there appears to be no obvious way to contact any kind of customer services on the website which is a little disappointing.
First meal cooked though went down well 👍🏻 Looking forward to trying the next one.

Would not recommend
Split packaging, ingredients missing and questionably fresh! We could not even eat one of the dishes
... although the other we tried was tasty! Will still not be ordering again!

Well packed goods
Two boxes arrived today general content was okay no problems but I personally made a mistake on the order but spoke to somebody on the phone said it would be sorted no problems. Email arrived beginning of week no amendments to my order spoke to somebody yesterday on the phone again told me that It had been sorted. On opening the boxes it was Still the same as emails So missing an item and doubled up with another one.

Complete shambles
Their website allowed me to select a delivery date it turned out they couldn’t fulfil and it was 3 days before customer services were able to respond regarding an accurate delivery date.
Box was then delivered to my billing address rather than the delivery address I selected. Still waiting for a response from them on that one.
AVOID!
Box refund received but not the delivery charge, which is ironic

We’ve really enjoyed our trial box…
We’ve really enjoyed our trial box consisting of 4 recipes. I think this is a new venture and there is a lot of competition out there from bigger companies but I’d stay yeschef is taking them on !
Portions were really good size we had 2 chicken dishes and two fish dishes and all were very fresh .
I have given 5 stars as we really enjoyed what we had and the produce was great . My only concern is the amount of plastic pots , something though I think they are addressing .
The recipes maybe need a bit of tweaking in timings and order .
