Great tool!

Not sure what all these bad reviews are about.
I found out about Yapper through a friend in the industry that also does digital marketing for his company.
It was really easy to get started, and create tons of different ad creatives to test with.
Support team was also very responsive when I had some questions. Would recommend!

I subscribed to the Creator plan…Refused refund, ignored emails, unusable output

I subscribed to the Creator plan ($50/mo, 7,000 credits) expecting professional-quality video generation with commercial use rights. Instead, I received outputs with third-party watermarks (Google Gemini logo) baked into the generated content — completely unusable for any professional or commercial purpose.
When I contacted support, they first claimed I had successfully generated a video (ignoring the quality issue), then blamed me for uploading a source image with a watermark. Their "solution" was adding 600 credits — not the monetary refund I requested.
I sent a formal refund request with screenshots and a 48-hour deadline. They simply stopped responding. No reply, no refund, nothing.
As a California-based customer dealing with a California-based company (Dream Vision Labs LLC, San Francisco), I expected at minimum a professional resolution. Instead I got silence.
I am now pursuing a chargeback through my bank and filing a complaint with the California Attorney General's Office.
Save your money. If something goes wrong, don't expect support to help you.

Update to my previous review: After my last email, Yapper issued a full refund and also left me with credits and full access until April 25th so I could test the platform further. I can confirm the refund has been received.
I appreciate this gesture — it shows the team is willing to make things right. Special thanks to Kate from support for handling the resolution.
I will be testing the platform over the coming weeks, and if everything works well, I plan to continue using Yapper as a paying customer. I'll update this review accordingly.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Talk about getting the ultimate middle finger when it comes to lifetime deals. I took some time and did some research on what Yapper is capable of before making a decision to buy. I was pretty impressed with their software and decided to buy a lifetime purchase at the highest tier possible. This would allow me to use up to 7k credits per month for life. Let me repeat that, 7k credits per month for LIFE. A month later, they decided to change the deal and offer me a one time advance of 40k credits (six months worth) and then I'd have to purchase additional credits afterwards. While I did like the idea of remaining a member of Yapper, I started thinking about how quickly they changed the terms and it seemed too risky to stay because when do they change terms again? When does the whole site just shut down without notice and leave me holding an empty bag? I think Yapper could've made a better deal that continuously supplied some credits each month in addition to the 40k so I always have something to look forward to as a lifetime member. AI software is the wave of the future and I'm sure there will be many new opportunities in the future for true lifetime deals. In this case, the potential benefits for what was promised vs. what is actually being delivered was a MASSIVE let down. In the history of purchases I've made with AppSumo over the years, this is the one I am really going to miss.

Rug pull

Rug pull. Sold me a product and changed terms making me lose a lot of time and juggle money and refunds. Unethical.

CAN NOT BE TRUSTED -AVOID

This company can notnbe trusted, got LTD deal on Appsumo and overnight they changed my LTD from 15k monthly refilling credits to one off use, how disgusting behaviour is that. WHY WOULD YOU EVER TRUST A COMPANY LIKE THIS????.

It was not Yapper or their team that reached out to apologise

It was Appsumo that apologised and refunded me

SILENCE SINCE from Yapper.so, no apologise email.

Perfect example of a company that does not value its customers.

There reason for the bait and switch, users from appsumo are using 10x more

Well hold on, we are only using what we purchased in the deal, how can we possibly use more then what we purchased?

Bait and switch

I bought the lifetime deal during the Black Friday sales and Appsumo even featured it as a deal of the day and on Appsumo Select. Conveniently the terms completely changed after Black Friday and recurring monthly credits turned into the equivalent of less than 3 months of credits only once. Appsumo customers get less credits than subscribers.

There were warnings about the shadyness of the founder and rightfully so. He collected positive reviews for weeks on all platforms and I doubt that all the Youtubers who recommended Yapper will delete their videos.

My Appsumo review is in the moderation queue since days, something which usually doesn't happen and explains why there are barely any negative reviews after the terms changed. But they of course let a negative review with an accidental 5 star rating through.

The comment queue for Yapper is heavily moderated on Appsumo and critical comments are deleted. It makes you wonder why Appsumo is protecting a shady business that much.

Trust gone. Find a different company to work with.

Reneged on the LTD terms with a total bait-and-switch that wasn't even as good as a regular subscription. . .Oh, they claim it was good, but who can trust what they say when they make a deal and then break it a few weeks later? Stay far away. Their service might work okay, but it's not any better than others out there who do the same thing. Go with a different company if you value transparency and trust.

Yapper

Yapper, what did you expect from an LTD deal? Honestly almost all customers get excited the first few months at most a year and their usage drops... if that spike scared you, then I suggest you don't get back in the LTD scene and we don't want your yearly sub deals or whatever deal you want to throw at us. You have failed us.

This is worse than promising your kid we're going to Disneyland when you've already spent a good chunk of money on unlimited rides and you get to come back again for the same experience and when you get to front of the gate to enter and all the excitement is in the air about having a great deal/day then you are told hey Sorry you get to ride one time and forget about all the rest of the park because you will be running out of credit before you even start... SHAMEFUL

Appsumo you are going BACKWORDS, almost all of your customers come back for great deals because we are limited on how much we can spend spend and what we can purchase that can help us work on our plans and projects we set. This deal was questionable when Tier 4 was removed telling customer that Tier 4 was only for the first loyal customers and will honor the plan and keep it special for them and new comers will have up to Tier 3, and now the awful pop we get telling us, Ha Ha April/BlackFriday Fools Day, you just got pranked.

Yes I will have to get my money back, because it feels we got back lied to and I was very close to buying Qolaba and when I read the reviews I was like what is going on. The company will not break bank if they had a limited amount of purchases for these plans instead of entirely changing the deal to NOTHING...

From companies closing down after we purchase deals and now this puling the rug from underneath us after the fact. This is unacceptable. I see your future plans changing from lifetime to One-Time use deals and yearly subscriptions as we've seen a lot of them shifting to yearly gradually. We notice the pattern and this is not what Appsumo was built for.

If you see sales are going down, well the economy is not that good, everything is expensive and we are investing in these products to help us get a side hustle and the prices keep going up. Within 1 year your prices have gone up for returning and new items...

Cant trust Yapper

Cant trust Yapper, bait and switch as mentioned in the earlier review. LTD but no concrete support from the terms they would uphold the lifetime deal after 60 day return period. then they change their deal, if they cant be fair to LTD then they cant be trusted all together.

Do not trust Yapper.so

I bought a heavily promoted lifetime deal for the Yapper app on AppSumo, clearly sold as ongoing monthly credits and long term access. After just two weeks, the deal was suddenly changed into a limited one time credit pool with upsells for more credits, mainly driven by Yapper but fully enabled and communicated by AppSumo.
This is not a minor adjustment, it is a fundamental change to what was advertised and what I paid for. In my view this is misleading and completely unacceptable behavior, especially from Yapper, and it shows that you simply cannot trust Yapper.so.

bait and switch

company offered a ltd, and then three weeks later changed their ltd for existing customers who bought to one time credit. not to be trusted. bait and switch. they then said they didn't expect the demand. so basically they offered tiered ltd plans that they were hoping people wouldn't use, and when people used it, they then changed their terms. a lot of people refunded today because it was bad business to do that. in my opinion they ruined their trust and reputation doing that. no one trust companies that flip flop on a deal you already purchased

A Powerful Gen AI Tool for Social Media and Ads.

Yapper stands out with its video timeline editor and prompting workflow, giving us more control over the input and resulting in better generations than similar platforms. It includes popular models for both video and image generation, along with plenty of example videos you can use as templates for inspiration or to get you started quickly.
