HAND CAR WASH.

Extremely pleased that Pete, XPRESS Garage Owner, was able to fit in yet another impromptu, extremely professional car wash, for my white Toyota.

I was on holiday in the area when I…

I was on holiday in the area when I unfortunately experienced a flat tire. Having fitted the spare I made my way to the closest tyre shop which happened to be Xpress.
I count myself very lucky to have happened upon Xpress and am extremely grateful for my service there. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, quick and efficient in delivering great service, sorting me a new tyre and giving the car a quick check over so I could enjoy the rest of my holiday with peace of mind.

Fantastic Service

Was a bit stuck on Christmas eve as I had a screw that punctured one of my tyres.

Luckily they got me in on the day and sorted me out quick and efficient. And still on time for work too.

Poor advertising

There are a couple of signs around Falmouth advertising a £39 MOT from Xpress.

Rang up, said I'd seen the sign, booked in. No mention of a price change on the phone or when dropping off the car.

When I came to collect the car it turns out the MOT is now £45. Apparently this is a regular complaint with customers for a long time. The boss knows, but doesn't update the signs. Apparently the boss doesn't ask their staff to make the new price clear either. Shame.

ordered tyres to be fitted from…

ordered tyres to be fitted from tyresavings. select xpress for the fitting option. turned up and no tyres, person serving said it should be against the law to order tyres that cheap and they are no longer using tyresavings to supplies. but it was ok when we done the same 2 weeks ago using premium tyres. clearly only suits them when they make more money from the tyres. i would have thought the money they get to fit them and do the tracking should be enough, clearly a case of greed. if you want cheaper tyres try TYRESAVERS online. other garages are still happy to fit them

Dear Mr Palmer,

Frstly I would like to point out that you ordered your tyres from an online company and not ourselves, these tyres were exceptionally cheap and of poor quality hence the price.
It is not our fault that the tyres have not arrived as we had no involvement in ordering anything for you and we no longer have any relationship with the online ordering company that you were involved with.
Whether it was two weeks ago that you ordered them this has absolutely no reflection on Xpress Garage.

They should have removed us as a fitting agent some time ago from their system.
As for your comments that we are here for greed is absolute rubbish, we always help lots of customers out and quite often do things for free to keep them on the road when money is tight.

Also there are only three other garages in Cornwall that use tyre savings, one in Penzance, one in Newquay, and one in St Keverne.

If it was such a great company to work with all the garages would be with them but they are not.
You should be reviewing tyre savings with a 1 star review who are making millions and not a small family run business who work very hard 7 days a week just to pay the bills while looking after the local community who care about their customers.

Firstly I would like to say a very well…

Firstly I would like to say a very well done to Receptionist Stacey for dealing with such an unorganised bunch at Xpress garage in Falmouth.

I attended the garage 3 times and several phone calls and was put back a week to get a lock on my car door secured which I felt was urgent but obviously they didn't also they failed to find the answer to a whirring noise on front left wheel of my car but yet when I took it to tyrefinders they found the answer instantly 🙃 and they charged me a fortune for getting the door fixed and it took two weeks to do so, so I am letting everyone know how long these things take at the so called Xpress garage in Falmouth what a joke! I shall not be using them again, please avoid if you can!!!

‘Xpress’ it is most definitely not

Dropped my car off for a service (oil filter) at 8.30am. After 6hrs I phoned the garage to see if it was ready for collection, to be told it hadn’t even been looked at. I explained we had 4 kids and needed the car (7 seater) for pickup. An hour later they then looked at it and then said it also needs 2 new tyres….. Thanks, but I just want the service I requested and nothing else and asked the fella on the phone to get it done asap as we really need the car back. He hung up and then the garage would not answer the 10 calls I made over the next 30 mins. I then called on another mobile phone and they answered straight away…… hmmm strange. To be then told that they hadn’t done it and wouldn’t have time to do it by 5pm. I had to pay for and get taxis to collect 2 of my kids as the 4 go to 4 different schools.

I cannot comment on the price or the actual work they do because…. Well they didn’t do it. Clearly opted for money in the bank over customer experience. I was recommended to go to this garage. Well I certainly won’t be recommending them, I’ll be telling anyone who asks the exact experience I received.

‘Xpress’ - Ha! What a joke. Express they are most most definitely not. Avoid unless your not bothered when you get your car back.

Customer made booking to drop vehicle off for the day, for us to look at a service light?

Customer had vehicle serviced 9 months ago elsewhere so we were to look into this to determine if vehicle needed a service, if so what kind of service and then to carry out necessary works to vehicle.

Vehicle is a Rangerover - therefore only able to go on one specific ramp due to its size and weight. This ramp had another vehicles on it all morning as we were waiting for parts to arrive to complete another customers car.

Vehicle was dropped in at 8:30am for a leaving appointment - therefore we would look at during the course of the day.

Master tech/diagnostic tech took a look at the vehicle - going through the system controls and established what was needed - oil change, oil filter and air filter.

As a garage and specialist tyre centre, we obviously made a note of rear tyres which we recommended the customer had replaced, under no obligation, however we always check and advise customers tyres for their own safety!!

After numerous calls throughout the day, in which the customer was advised it unfortunately hadn't been looked at yet but we will call when we have an update!!

At approx 3pm the master/diag tech reported what works were needed to a male member of staff who had answered the phone (again) to the customer.

In a short phone call the male member of staff repeatedly tried to speak to the customer and advise him of what works were needed to be done.

As a garage we always have to advise the customer of what works are needed to be done and what costs are involved so that they can agree works/costs before we go ahead with any work.

Unfortunately, on this phone call with the customer, where the male member of staff was repeatedly trying to get this information across to the customer to receive authority for the works, the very impatient customer with a telephone manner that was less than desirable
continued to interrupt and not let the staff member speak while also being quite rude.

We do not tolerate verbal abuse to our staff. We are here to help and advise all customers and we pride ourselves on excellent customer service. So even during an extremely busy and hard time we will always do our best, therefore not deserving to be spoken to or treated in an unfriendly manner.

The reception Manager answered the phone at approx 4:10pm to said customer - he asked if vehicle was ready for collection. She went to master tech to ask for an updated and was then advised that he had identified what works were needed and was ready to undertake said works at around 3pm but had no authority from customer to do so.

Unfortunately, due to the customers behaviour to our staff on the phone earlier that day, it ended up in us terminating that call and not getting the authority for any work. So when the reception manager took the call at 4pm ish, she then tried to explain to the customer that as no authority was given, no works were carried out. Standard company policy.

The reception manager explained to the customer that the service could still be carried out before the end of the working day (5:30) if authority was given now - so we could order service items and use the now available ramp for that vehicle.

The customer then advised (at appox 4:15-4:20) that he needed vehicle back for school pick ups and would need it collect at 4:50. Had we been informed earlier in the day or when the car was dropped off, then we would have made sure it would have been completed for the school run.

This unfortunately did not allow enough time to carry out the work that we had identified needed doing. So reception manager advised customer to collect vehicle at his earliest convenience.

Upon collection of the vehicle the reception manager politely and nicely apologised to the customer for the unfortunate eventuality that meant no works were carried out (even though technically we had nothing to apologise for)

Excellent Service

Good service appears to be a rare experience these days. However, in the last two weeks I have visited Xpress Garage 4 times for car wash and replacement tyres and experienced excellent service. Every time I have been treated courteously. The staff are friendly, informative and you don’t feel you are being fleeced. In the customer waiting area you can watch the data of your vehicle’s wheel alignment as it is adjusted = transparency. Despite being busy and not having a formal appointment, they have attended to me as so as I turned up. Ordering and delivery of tyres easy and quick. No visit has taken time longer than expected. Don’t think I will go back to any high street tyre services that have 3 letters or rhymes with Quick Bit. Also a very nice new coffee and sandwich cabin up the road. What better a way to spend a waiting period.

Quick, Professional and Good Value

Quick and professional service and good value. We had a screw in the tyre which they were able to repair and we were in and out within 20mins. They even gave the wheels a clean which is a nice touch.

I have used Express Garage and they should have 5 stars

I have used Express Garage, since they opened, for tyres, batteries, servicing MoT's and car washing. If ever a 5 star review is deserved it's here.
They are friendly, very helpful at all times and nothing is ever too much trouble.
If this was a score out of 10, I'd give them 15 every time!

Friendly welcoming staff exceptional service

I visit the Bognor branch for all my MOT's and Service and every time I am not disappointed with the polite and upbeat attitude that the staff have there.Nothing is too much trouble and they make every effort to only charge what they need to and even look for deals on items to keep the cost down.Excellent service.

Saviours...with a cup of tea.

Whilst on holiday in Cornwall, we sadly collided with a small wall which damaged the wall of our car tyre. Not wanting to risk driving hundreds of miles back to West Yorkshire with an egg on the side of my tyre, I looked around online to find somewhere local. I tried a few other well known companies first but surprisingly they didn't have any of my size in stock.
I rang xpress and spoke to a very friendly lady who informed me they had several different types in stock and was available to do the work straight away.
I drove over there and was greeted by the same friendly lady who offered me a cup of tea.
A mechanic came out, had a look and advised me of what they had in stock. I was happy with the options and went for a brand I know already.
20 mins later I had 2 shiny new tyres, and shiny wheels as they got a complimentary wash!
The price was extremely good for the tyres and the service. Everyone was super friendly and professional and I had peace of mind.
I would recommend anyone to go here.
