This is alarming. It implies you may continue disclosing personal information about me to strangers off-platform, which is unacceptable and unethical.
Let it be known: I do not authorize you to share any personal or sensitive information about me under any circumstance, neither publicly nor privately. Any further attempt to do so will be considered a breach of privacy law and I will take the necessary legal steps to protect my rights.

I hired Xpats-Service and paid €670 to receive assistance in finding housing in the Netherlands. From the very beginning, I provided all the requested documentation: passports, employment contracts, and I even offered to submit bank statements to prove financial solvency. I showed full cooperation and respect throughout every interaction.

The only option they offered me was a split apartment that is not officially registered as two separate housing units. They assigned me the back part (formerly the dining room), with no individual house number, no private mailbox, and a locked internal door connecting to the front part, where a relative of the landlord lives. Even the “main entrance” to the unit was a glass door, which raised further concerns about safety and privacy.

Yes, in theory, it is possible to register at such an address and obtain a BSN, but that does not make it a legal or safe option. Thanks to the guidance of a legal advisor in the Netherlands, I learned that such setups can trigger municipal inspections, fines for the landlord, forced evictions, and provide no legal protection for the tenant. None of these risks were properly disclosed to me.

When I raised these concerns, instead of offering alternatives or showing understanding, their response was defensive, condescending, and ultimately offensive. I was told things like:

“No wonder you got scammed. You don't want to listen and think to know everything better.”
“Your lady is workless…”
“You behave unprofessional.”
“I'll terminate our contract and transfer you your money back.”

They accused me of a “loss of trust,” when all I did was ask valid questions, act responsibly, and refuse to accept an irregular housing situation. How could I trust them when they never behaved professionally in the first place?

To this day, I have not received a single euro back, despite them promising in writing to refund me.

⚠️ I do not recommend Xpats-Service to anyone. If you value your dignity, your time, and your money, look elsewhere.

I publicly demand the refund of the €670 they still owe me.

Amazing experience. It is quite challenging to get a house in Netherlands similar to other european countries, however with the company extraordinary work we were able to find a house matching all our criterias and start our journey in the country.

I had a question regarding the extension of my residence permit for family reunification. I was consulted. Everything was explained clearly. The IND was contacted the following day to clarify the subsequent action plan that was required of me. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. I am satisfied.
