UPDATE:
I went ahead with my order spending £90. Advertised dispatch time was 2-4 working days, it’s now been 3 weeks. Nothing. Money out of my account and two automated “we’re aware it’s late” emails. Despite my review below and Zavvi giving me a £10 compensation voucher, they still cannot fulfil orders. Utterly terrible company…
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Consistently have bad experiences with Zavvi despite a brilliant range of products. They do not honour their delivery times, frequently cancel pre-orders and the customer service is non-existent.
It’s disappointing as they clearly have resource to run a Tik-Tok live consistently but from my experience of ordering from them, they seem to like to order stock in from their suppliers when they themselves get an order from us (the consumer)…and if that isn’t the case they clearly have very limited staff running around the warehouse to fulfill orders… or just cancel it all together!
I think in the trade this is called “just in time”. It’s simply not good enough in the day and age of Amazon Prime - BUT, their range of products is good for a proper geek/collector so it’s hard to resist being a repeat customer (victim).
Time and time again I give Zavvi another chance and each time they disappoint me. I wouldn’t be compelled to write this review but after ordering again (not sure why!) and being asked to, I feel a desperate plea is needed.
Zavvi, I just ask you to be better.

18 months - worst company ever!
For 18 months now I have ensured the pitiful company that is Zavvi. I'm a small business owner and Zavvi print t-shirts for my biggest supplier. They are a joke. 18 months of delayed orders, stock missing, wrong sizes sent (including a delivery today). Failed timescale promises and late deliveries. I have no choice but to use the supplier I've always used for years but since Zavvi got involved it's the worst thing I've experienced in over 10 years as a business owner. I recommend everyone keeps away with anything to do with this farce of a company.

Follow up review
I am pleased to say following a previous negative review and complaint. Zavvi have passed with flying colours. Not only did i receive my Order within the 5 working days it was sent on a free 24 hour delivery. They also gave a discount which was refunded straight away. Their communication thereafter was excellent. Thank you for a excellent and swift resolution.

Preorder? Don't bother.
I preordered the Jackie Chan Breakout Hits box set well in advance, fully expecting it to be dispatched on launch day as you would reasonably anticipate from any retailer. Launch day came and went with no movement whatsoever.
I cancelled the order, went to another retailer the same day, and the item began dispatching almost immediately. Same product, same day, zero issue.
Zavvi preorders have one job. If a customer has committed their money ahead of release, the bare minimum expectation is that the order moves on launch day. This did not happen, and there was no good reason for it.
Save yourself the frustration and order elsewhere.
