Exploding glass!

Was told my ‘toughen glass’ would be ready in 14 days. Was called 30 days later & told it was ready to collect.
I brought the glass home yesterday having collected it from their workshop. I rested it against the wall and went to open the oven door (to which it was to be fixed). On picking it up it exploded in my hand.
On questioning them, I was told I would receive a call back from ‘Ken’ - no call received so I chased this morning only to be told by ‘Lisa’ that she had spoken to Ken and that he said I must have caught it or knocked it & that tempered glass can’t just break - which is a lie - Google it, it happens and it happened to me!
The fact is that the glass was faulty and exploded without it being knocked or miss handled. This was either due to Nickel Sulphide being present during manufacture, or there being a fault during manufacture.
They refused to give me my money back.
Absolutely shocking service and product stay well clear!

Please remove this post as it is factually incorrect.
How do we become responsible for a piece of glass you have collected and also stated this was rested against the wall (so on the floor and the wall).
Please feel free to see if we rest toughened glass against any hard surface.
I have been in the glass industry for 34 years and Apprentice trained which does not exist anymore.
Why would I say I'm going to call you back for a £20 piece of toughened glass that you collected, had taken home, store it incorrectly and then want us to replace because you don't know what you are doing.
Please don't phone the office and scream at the staff aswell.
Ken
The glass has done the job designed for which is to break into small pieces if damaged (knock a corner) google please

Brilliant service

Brilliant service, the mirror I ordered is excellent quality. The measurements I asked for are absolutely spot on, fits in the old frame perfectly. Delivered personally by Ken as well. Would highly recommend.

Ken was extremely helpful and did a great job providing us with a superb shower screen and a dressing table top, both finished off and sized perfectly. Many thanks for a fantastic job well done.
