Greet your customers better!

I took my grandsons and daughter to the residents weekend chocolate bar decorating experience this morning. We were rudely greeted by the lady in charge when we asked to order drinks before our time slot we were told we had to have them in paper cups and told to sit away from other customers! Not a great start! One of us wanted soya milk and when drinks arrived she couldn't remember which was soya and proceeded to sniff them?? Staff in the actual chocolate experience was very informative and polite.

Disappointing Customer Service.

I am very disappointed in the service received from York Cocoa House and have ended up quite out of pocket.
Upon ordering Easter eggs the website noted that the eggs would arrive between 26th and 28th March, in good time for Easter. However, I then received an email saying to allow for 2 weeks to prepare and dispatch and “Please take a look at the order and postage details and let us know if there are any changes that you would like to make.” – I did want to make a change, as this would put the eggs arriving far too late. I emailed back noting that, given the delay I would like to cancel my order and would make other arrangements for Easter. I then received no response until a few days later when a dispatch notification was sent – I replied again explaining that I’d purchased eggs elsewhere and wished to cancel, as I’d been informed that the delivery would be after Easter. There was no response.
The now superfluous and relatively expensive eggs arrived today, broken. I would not recommend.

Need improvement in customer service

We ordered online from them and the items arrived on 27 Nov., unfortunately a pack of drinking chocolate was missing. Contacted them 3 times but absolutely no response whatsoever. Order number: YCH62405.

Disappointed, zero star.

Edited 5 Dec: silently received the pack of missing item today, however there was still no email reply to my original request. Four star.

Chocolate making workshop

Booked in to complete a chocolate workshop as part of a hen party, paid £25 per person, and it was terrible. I would not recommended this place. The workshop was really rushed, taking around a maximum of 20 minutes, heated chocolate with hair dryers and put them in old Chinese take away tubs to set with some toppings such as marshmallows or smarties. We collected it and was given the wrong chocolate so we couldn’t even eat our own chocolate and as we didn’t know the hygiene of the groups chocolate we got, it all got chucked in the bin. We phoned to say it was the wrong chocolate given and they said we would get a full refund, however since then, they have gone back on their word and been nothing but rude and argumentative, stating that they have tried to phone us several times to say that our chocolate was in fact still at the shop, however we have call logs to prove that no phone calls were even attempted to reach our host, they have told us we turned up ‘drunk’ which we did not at all! They have said that over a month later they will post our chocolate to us which is probably now gone off!!! Terrible service and not worth the money. Awful attitude from management. Would NOT recommend.
