Yelp is inaccessible in our place
Very disappointed with Yelp
Very disappointed with Yelp. Since starting ads with them, I have received mostly spam and scam calls instead of real customers. Some callers were asking for debit and credit card information, which was very concerning.
I also tried contacting customer service to cancel the ads, but the experience was not helpful. On top of that, some real 5-star customer reviews on my business page were hidden, which made it even more frustrating.
I spent money expecting real leads and support, but my experience was the opposite. I would not recommend Yelp for small businesses.
This Review is about the Website called YELP.
This Review is about the Website called YELP. As a CEO/President of 30 yrs. I've never seen a Company that does not vet the person making the Review. They do not care thats its Fraudulant, from an Ex-Employee, Spouse, or a Social Media post that wants to end your Company. This Company cares only about Money, paid by Companies like ours in the past.
Worst company every. Do not use them
I am a business owner and will never give one cent to yelp. I opened up a new business 7 months ago where I purchased the the remainder of a business that was closing. I changed the name and kept the old phone number. Now my business carried very simular products as the business that closed. I called yelp to de-list the previous business as it is effecting my search as when people search the old business it says closed not knowing there is another business here. I was told that they can not do anything about it as it is automatic when it will get de-listed. So in out words they have no control over there own program to delete listings which I find hard to believe. I can understand why they try to take pride saying they will help customers, but there very own star rating is less than 2 stars. It just proves if they can't have a good star rating which from this last phone call I can understand why, how can they help anyone else's business. Time you update your policies and listen to your customers who pay thr bills
It’s disappointing to see how platforms…
It’s disappointing to see how platforms claim to support small businesses while filtering or hiding many authentic positive customer experiences, yet prominently displaying a single negative review.
We were repeatedly encouraged to purchase advertising, and after declining, it became difficult not to question the visibility of our genuine customer feedback. Transparency should matter for both businesses and consumers.
As a business owner, we welcome honest feedback and continuously improve from it. But review platforms should ensure fairness, authenticity, and balanced representation — not create environments where businesses feel pressured into paid advertising to protect their reputation.

Eco Works landscaping has left his mark on us. Alexi is a one man owner / operator that has transformed our yard in to a backyard paradise. Cleaned & edged the beds added the mulch, beautiful!!! Then it was removing and transplanting the ornamentals (6) finally did some leveling where needed. We are so impressed with his methodical approach and focus on his work. Lastly the clean up was incredible. “He is now our guy” Thanks Eco Works!!!
Beyond Disappointed
Beyond Disappointed: Do Not Hire Aptive Environmental - "technician" spent all of 1 min in my backyard "spraying" Sent me bogus pictures and a laundry list of what he supposively did. Lie. I was standing inside my home watching. Called 4 numbers to talk with local company located on Dodge and instead was connected to call center 3 times. The fourth number, supplied by a Tim Miller Manager, using text messaging, for questions/concerns is no longer in service.

I had a water pipe break and needed a contractor. I had Mark Scott construction company. They did a great job replacing the flooring and bottom cabinets. A thank you to Don Draper for all his help also Frank Capaldo and Derick Watson.
Poor customer service and giving wrong information.
This last year my wife signed up for a year, with Eco Shield, the pest solutions Co. In April when the Rep.came out 4 23 26 for our application, I asked the rep how many more applications we had. After contacting his office, I was told one. At that time because of cost, we would not be renewing because of rising cost. Being A Senior Citizen, on a fixed income, expenses need to be controlled. Today when I called to complain about our Ant Problem, they told me my contract was cancelled, even though I WAS told I HAD one more application left, and was told by a customer rep, I could get a complacently application. I thanked her very MUCH. However, in about a half hour, I RECEIVED another text that I could not get a complimentary service unless I SIGNED UP for another service. Being in sales and customer service, all my life, I would never make a statement unless it would be fulfilled. THIS IS A POOR WAY TO RUN A COMPANY, WHEN YOUR PHONE INTRODUCTION SAYS your customer service. My next step is to contact Channel 7 is on your side to get their opinion on poor customer service.

You don't know you need something until you go to use it. That was the case for us in wanting to open our windows and let the fresh air in. Screens, holes, slits, wear and tear. Did my research and as usual there are many so called screen repair business's that also do yard work, construction and so on. I like to deal with a company that does specialize in one area. That is why I chose Screenmobile. Easy to set appointment, price given on the spot, no guessing, set up install date. Zach and Matthew were great. Explained and offered any and all questions we had. Very satisfied. Don't go looking all over, this is the one stop you need to go with.
Monthly calls to advertise and I am on the DON'T NOT CALL LIST
I was a longtime advertiser, but Yelp showed its true colors. Long story short, they don't care about their customers, just money, and they have shady business practices! They continue to call me to advertise again, even though I have been on the DO NOT CALL LIST for over a year! Month after month, rep after rep, I get a call and an email. I tell them I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, and it still happens. The new reps assured me it wouldn't happen again, and sure enough, I received the call and email. I even had one rep get snotty with me, saying, If you were on the list, you wouldn't get calls. It’s almost comical at this point. I reported Yelp to the FTC and FCC! Please leave me alone, YELP, and get your act together.
Posted a review about them on Yelp, and magically it wouldn't post, and their other reviews don't show.
Yelp-Deceptive-Takes Advantage-Lies-Lies
Got a Call from B. Bates said she could increase traffic to my new web site. I thought I would give this a try. I was not going to be charged UNTIL the campaign was over. So I gave my CC number, I know DUMB right. Right off the bat they charged me $45.00 twice, I complained and they removed the charge. NOBODY mentions when they sign you up they have all the automatic add ons, YOU did not sign up for them BUT they want you to pay for them. I decided I would give the Young Lady another chance and asked her to email me. I noticed she was new on the job, so maybe she was unaware the charges would happen instantly. She called me and when I said I want these charges I did NOT authorize then she tried to talk over me. I am the Customer here, I hung up. I do not want to deal with Unprofessional Folks whom say one thing and do another. I immediately went to my yelp account and noticed I was signed up for all this other options I HAD NOT AGREED TO. I canceled them. I had the 2 charges of $ 45.00 removed, now as of May 28, 2026 I noticed a charge on my CC for $ 14.62. I called and was put on hold for 25 minutes then hung up. I tried to email, crickets, I tried to call again. Finally, I was able to get through, the young Lady said I used those services for 2 days and I must pay for them. This company is so deceptive and their tactics are NOT condusive to any positive working relationship between a Business Owner and a Vendor. I will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I should of done my home work first before I gave out my CC #. I have disputed the charge and I will cancel my card so they cannot erroneously charge for anything else. Please do not trust them.
I rarely write reviews like this
I rarely write reviews like this, but I feel other small business owners need to hear my experience.
I was persuaded by Yelp’s advertising representatives with promises that paid ads would bring a significant increase in real customer orders. I was told the visibility would translate directly into business growth. Instead, what I received was a flood of spam phone calls, inquiries that were not legitimate customers, and absolutely no meaningful increase in actual orders.
On top of that, my page began receiving unfair ratings from people who were never my customers. Despite raising concerns, there was little to no support in addressing these questionable reviews. As a small business owner, your reputation is everything, and watching it be impacted without proper recourse is incredibly frustrating.
Meanwhile, the advertising charges continued to accumulate, leaving me with a large balance and no return on investment.
I feel misled by the sales promises and unsupported when issues arose. This experience has not only been costly financially but damaging to my business reputation.
I strongly encourage other small business owners to proceed with extreme caution before committing to Yelp advertising.
Yelp is a complete and utter SCAM
Yelp is a complete and utter SCAM. They steal money from companies for completely useless ad-spend, and then remove the companies reviews once they stop using their services. Why do ANY companies reference this platform!
If I could leave a negative five star, I would!
If I can leave a negative five star, I would! All yelp is, is the leech that sucks the blood out of every contractor they sign up. There is no vetting process for the contractors that they suggest to unwitting homeowners. If you're a homeowner and you're using yelp to get a verified contractor I would be very, very careful. Yelp is free for contractors to sign up and there's no vetting process whatsoever. They just make money off of the backs of hardworking contractors. Unfortunately, the only way to find a good contractor when you need work done on your home is to do the vetting process yourself, don't say I didn't warn you....

I was a business owner for 5 years and Yelp is terrible to work with and manage a business on. It's sites like this that make it difficult to be a business owner in the modern day. Would never recommend.
I submitted a request for bids on YELP…
I submitted a request for bids on YELP and I got only one reply and that was doubled the price that I received from another fencing company not on YELP. I posted my experience on YELP about the YELP recommended vendor, and they deleted it. Why? don’t know except that they didn’t like the fact that I noted my experience was less then satisfactory. So to make it clear to the reader here I had 1800 feet of wire fence to be put up. All brush and old fencing materials was removed and ground graded. So my complaint isn’t about the bid variance ($4.00 a foot versus $10.00 a foot), but how YELP handled the review. I will never use YELP again.
I’m so irritated
I’m so irritated. I thought if I used Yelp, I might have better luck acquiring a high quality business to get my garage door repaired. To my astonishment, I felt I was getting scammed. First, I was inundated with potential spam calls. Then one guy came to the door and portrayed himself as a member of another company and did a very good job of it.
Fortunately, I decided to contact the company that I made the appointment with to confirm because I found out he was not part of their team. I told him to stop what he was doing, take his stuff and leave. I was not paying. Luckily about that time, the gentleman I actually had the appointment with arrived.
I’m not using Yelp again.
