Solo Elderly Female Disabled Military Veteran Left Stranded on Curb
In October 2021, I booked one-way transportation from a Miami Beach Hotel to Key West Florida for March 2022. Since it had been months earlier, I telephoned the company to confirm the pickup time at the hotel. The gentleman on the telephone confirmed my one-way bus transportation and told me to be out front of the hotel at 7AM. I was in the hotel lobby checking out of the hotel at 0645. My phone rang once and then stopped. At 0655PM I was outside the hotel. At 0720AM when no bus came to pick me up, I telephoned the office. No answer. On a lark, I decided to telephone the person who hung up after one ring and didn't leave a message. On the other end of the phone, I had a very poor connection, was a surly bus driver who was talking fast in a loud voice I could hardly understand. He was very rude and said he came and when I wasn't there, he left. Then he said he had called. When I informed him the call didn't go through and rang only once he basically said "I called you and I have a screen shot." Very clever. You can make sure it rings as "proof" you called but when you don't identify yourself or leave a message, why even bother? You do the bare minimum and leave me stranded when I was there early for the 7AM show time....just not early enough for your standards. I left several messages on the office voicemail because I could not understand if the driver was returning to pick me up or what had happened to him. I was never given the option of taking an Uber to meet him at another point. NOTHING. When the office did call me back it was 2 hours later. They even argued with me about a refund. They are saying that in the paper confirmation (which they say NOT to print) that I am supposed to remember from 5 months ago when I originally booked in the fine print says be ready 10 minutes early. Well if that were the case, why didn't the man I spoke to confirm the reservation tell me that. Why did he just say 7am? The motto of this company is "The Customer is Always Right." Well if that is true, I have never dealt with a group of such rude people in my life. In particular, to have the driver hang up on me without any apology is simply poor customer service. To argue with me about a refund is even worse. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. YOU ARE A DISGRACE. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
