Calling customer services was a bit frustrating
I have used World First for many years. They are always competitive on price and ask all the right questions to give me peace of mind that complex medical conditions are covered and understood. However, the last time I spoke to them I simply could not hear the agent due to loud background chatter. It was incredibly frustrating as I was being asked long and complex 'legal' questions which I was unable to respond to. I had to resort to obtaining a quotation online. When I did so the website failed to provide a payment facility. I then had to ring again to pass on my payment details. Following successful payment I didn't receive my documentation and had to call yet again. All very frustrating and unnecessary.

Very experienced people
Really helpful people on the phone and when buying the product. They were very clear about the costs and different levels of pay etc. Having an underlying g condition that limits one’s insurance options is a nightmare, but I was made to feel that my holiday ambitions were still doable. All the people I spoke to were knowledgeable about the field.

Reasonable cover after a cancer diagnosis
Because of a sudden diagnosis of cancer 3 weeks before I was due to go on holiday I needed to get insurance sorted quickly. I got an instant quote online and it was very reasonable so I rang to confirm and pay. All went very smoothly.

Very Good Value
Although the medical questions are involved the resulting cost of this insurance is well worth the effort. most insurance companies charge over £1000 and more for my husband’s cancer but World First charge approx £300. The policy is comprehensive. HAve used this company since Covid for insurance but never claimed!

Really happy with world first, I am 36 years old and have stage 4 cancer although under control but getting insurance to go away with my family, turned out to be a nightmare, with some companies quoting me between £2000-£4500 for a 2 week holiday!!
The questions are quite in depth and was thinking I was just going to be given another stupid quote, but no they were very, very reasonable, I have used them again this year for my holiday, I have recommended them to my father-in-law who has COPD and he now takes his yearly travel insurance out with them. Obviously going through treatments etc you meet people and holidays are brought up and I will always recommend world first. I haven't had to claim, so I can't comment on that, but the ease of getting a quote and taking out the insurance, and the customer service staff have all been great, so I have high hopes should I ever need to claim.
