Wolverhampton licensing department For taxi and private hire

Unfair and Incompetent Decision-Making by Wolverhampton Council on private hire badge.
—————————————————
I am extremely disappointed with Wolverhampton Council’s licensing department. They refused my private hire badge based on a completely flawed and nonsensical rule. Their decision was based on the claim that I had not held my renewed driving license for 12 months—even though I originally passed my test in 1983 and have been driving for over 40 years with a clean driving license since 2012!

This rule is absolutely ridiculous and unfair. It penalizes experienced drivers simply because they had to renew their license, ignoring decades of safe driving experience. I took my case to the magistrates’ court, but even there, the council stuck to their irrational stance.

Their licensing process is inconsistent, unfair, and a clear example of bureaucracy failing common sense. They are happy to take fees but refuse hardworking, experienced drivers over technicalities that make no sense. Wolverhampton Council needs to seriously review their policies and stop unfairly rejecting qualified applicants.

Since i applied for my phv licence has…

Since i applied for my phv licence has been over 14 weeks now God knows how long dose it take more time to get my licence, I thought would take one or two weeks to get my licence which most councils wll grant you within this period. But, city of Wolverhampton Council the way they delt with phv licence like a SNAIL dragging forward, you have to wait at least 3 months and that's with condition to make sure your application is 100p correct. I don't know at this point whether there is shortages of staff or what? If they are shortages of staff than hire more staff to rectify prolong waiting process, some applicants like me who still waiting 14 weeks has passed no idea how long shall be waiting more, i hope a responsible authority to conduct an investigation into this what causes this process so long. Thanks

Wolverhampton Homes/Council

My Granddaughter woke up at 1.30am this morning to water dripping on her bed!! My daughter as contacted the council to be told no one can see her till February, when she said she would get someone to sort it herself they said she would be in breach of contract!!!! Hope they will replace bed, bedding and carpet too!!! Surely as a landlord they owe their tenants a duty of care… diabolical service and so very wrong!!!

WOLVERHAMPTON HOMES IS A DISGRACE!

WOLVERHAMPTON HOMES IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!

Over two weeks ago I reported I had a bug infestation in my flat that I discovered when I was about to make my new borns bottle for bed. They were all over my baby’s formula and inside. I only noticed it after 10pm Sunday night and as it’s only me here I couldn’t go out and get another one. My poor child was crying non stop because all she wanted was her bottle and to go sleep. Anyways I reported it in a email as soon as I could. I sent pictures and video's showing them. Anyways they came out this fat guy called Bob who was a pest control and some other idiot that came out with Sharon Payne the tenancy officer who apparently knew what they was..he didn’t there was no point in him being there…the pest control guy didn’t even know what they was he comes back the next day with a textbook and claimed he knows what the bugs are said that the whole place needs fumigating and referred to it as “fogging” he then said he’ll send it back to these idiots and get the ball rolling. A day letter I had a nasty email from Neil Causer telling me that they won’t be fumigated my property and that it’s safe for my NEW BORN BABY to live in this bug infested flat and to get rid of the bugs to use hot soapy water! If that would of worked then the two hours I spent cleaning when I first saw the bugs would of gotten rid of it!!!! Now these idiots have taken that long the bugs have now moved into my living room and in all of my cleaning / food cupboards in the kitchen. Hot soapy water is not going to get rid of them! The last two weeks me and my baby have been sofa surfing at friends house as they all know it’s not okay or safe for a baby to be in a property full of bugs!

£170 a month and they don’t even empty the bin

Recycling bin refused because of “Pringles tub”. The new paper tub with the big “now you can recycle this tub” sticker on.

Online it said the bin was refused because it contained “nappies, pizza boxes and electrical items”. Unless there’s a secret pizza eating, vaping baby in the house I don’t know about, that’s a lie.

complaint about PHVL filed March 11

complaint about PHVL filed March 11, 2024. brand new car, everything paid and all documents attached. When sending the information, the waiting period is 10 days, today it is 1 month since the submission and I am still waiting. now I have to pass the MOt test because the car has almost exceeded 500 miles, which is required by the council. another £50, just because everything is taking too long another stage car payment £600, insurance payment £400, for then £2k in loss thanks to Wolverhamtpon Council.
absolute craziness that a person has to experience in order to start earning.
If I take the whole process from test, badge, license, it's almost 5 months. something is definitely wrong here. they have their salaries, they have something to pay bills, but we have to wait for them to do their work. this is absolutely unacceptable.

have been living in a council flat for over 3 years, it's a tragedy that the pathology does what it wants and the council doesn't do anything about it, I warn people who want to move into their houses, only disappointment and stress awaits you, they want you to pay the rent but if you have a problem, it's nothing they don't, I think I'll go back to Midlands hearts, at least they react to such situations

Incompetent morons in the ASB

In essence, the Wolverhampton homes antisocial behaviour dept is a total loss. It needs to be restructured with competent staff who take real action toward valid complaints and not just tick boxes to say they have done this and that. Rachel and Harbinder could not run a bath let alone a this dept. 20years experience or not it’s time you cartoon characters step down and hand the reigns over to someone who has backbone.

Worst organisation ever. Took 6 months of correspondence to change my direct debit details. So bad it’s laughable, I wonder if they do it on purpose to get more central funding. Oh and the worst customer service in the world!!

Wolverhampton council are incompetent

Wolverhampton council are totally pathetic, millions in debt, paying for stuff that no one really wants, spending hundreds of thousands on cycle lanes that very few use, slowing down traffic on ring road to no effect, wasting money on lgbt rubbish that only a handful of people want.
These clowns should be held responsible for what they do with public money.
