Misleading platform that puts professionals and clients at risk
I paid to be featured in Wix Insider Magazine expecting it to highlight credible professionals in the Wix ecosystem. Instead, I encountered a pay-to-publish blog with no editorial standards, no fact-checking, and no accountability.
One contributor was allowed to publish false claims about their credentials claims that directly contradicted their public Wix profile. I brought this to the editor’s attention respectfully, with documentation. My comment was deleted, and I was told that raising factual concerns publicly was unprofessional. The inaccurate article was left untouched.
This isn’t just about me. When a platform accepts money to feature people without verifying anything, it misleads potential clients, devalues real credentials, and damages trust across the community. It creates a system where appearances matter more than truth and where ethical professionals are drowned out by those who game the system.
I’ve withdrawn from the platform and requested a refund.
If you’re considering paying for visibility through this magazine, know that it offers exposure but not credibility. And if you’re a client looking for trustworthy talent, this is not a vetted source.
Proceed with caution.
