The guides are well-versed in the landscape, expertly navigating both the paths and group dynamics. With a maximum of eight participants, the experience remains smooth and pleasant. The lodgings are not only beautiful but also cozy, and the local cuisine is exceptional. I rarely revisit trips, yet I found myself returning for a second year!

I wholeheartedly endorse Wilderness England as a top-notch travel company. My journey from beginning to end was nothing short of extraordinary, surpassing all my expectations and dreams. The organization operates like a well-oiled machine, with every team member showing great dedication, attentiveness, and a genuine desire to make our trip perfect. Many travel companies promise much but fall short; Wilderness England is not among them. For those in search of a true adventure in the English countryside, devoid of stress and full of joy, this is the ideal choice. If you’re looking for a journey that both moves and transforms, or if you want exceptional value, look no further. The execution of every detail was impeccable. Accommodations were top-notch, daily plans were carefully considered, and challenges were adaptable for every traveler. The format is perfect for groups of six to eight, especially if hiking with stunning rewards and manageable inclines is your passion. While they advise on travel insurance, I opted out, though this is a personal decision for each traveler. Customization is a forte of Wilderness England, ensuring each trip is unique and tailored.Lastly, I must highlight our remarkable guide, Astrid C. Her expertise, energy, and sharp wit added an unforgettable dimension to each day. She is truly among the best guides I've had the pleasure to meet.In conclusion, Wilderness England offers an exceptional and enriching travel experience. Wilderness England is an exceptional travel company.

Wilderness England is a travel company I recommend without reservation. From start to finish, my experience exceeded every expectation and went far beyond imagination. This is a remarkably well-run organization—every member of the team was attentive, responsive, and genuinely committed to ensuring our trip unfolded seamlessly.

There are many travel companies that promise you the sky yet deliver disappointment. Wilderness England is not one of them. If you’re seeking an authentic adventure through the English countryside with minimal hassle and maximum joy, this is the company for you. If you’re looking for an experience that moves and transforms you, this is the company for you. And if you want true value for your money, once again—this is the company for you.

Every detail was anticipated and flawlessly executed. The hotels we stayed in were of excellent quality, the daily itineraries thoughtfully planned, and the difficulty levels flexible enough to suit every traveler. For groups of six to eight, the company offers an ideal format—particularly if everyone enjoys hiking with reasonable elevation and stunning views as reward.

Though the company recommends travel insurance, I personally chose not to take it—an individual decision that each traveler must make. Wilderness England can easily customize your trip to suit your preferences, making each journey distinct and personal.

And finally, I have to mention our exceptional guide, Astrid C. She was extraordinary—knowledgeable, spirited, and possessed a wicked sense of humor that made each day even more memorable. Astrid is, without question, one of the finest guides I’ve ever encountered.

In short, Wilderness England provides an outstanding, life-enriching travel experience. I recommend them wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

Outstanding

Outstanding, exceeded expectations.
The right mix of hiking, visits to historic sites, strolling on own thru Cotswolds market towns, pub visits. Excellent accommodations and dining at inns. Guide was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, accomodative.

Jennifer was a great guide

She was informative, organized and good natured. She took us to Crags, to the Woodsworth cabin, to restaurants, waterfalls and we saw everything. She always had extra supplies to cover if we were lacking anything.

She ensured it was the trip of a lifetime.

Hiking in Lovely Wales

This was my first hiking trip with Wilderness England. The guide, food, accommodations and itinerary were all really wonderful. Nat had to make a few changes in the itinerary due to weather and the alternatives were lovely hiking spots so nothing missed I am sure. I have hiked with several other companies over the past 20 years and WE is at the top of the list.

Guides who know the terrain

Guides who know the terrain - both the trails and how to interact with the group. The limit of eight people makes the experience easy and enjoyable. Beautiful, comfortable accommodations, great local food. I don't usually repeat a trip, but I've been two years in a row!

Wilderness England did a great job with everything for our trip. The itinerary was varied and flexible and the scenery was stunning! The inns were warm and welcoming with delicious food. But the star of our trip was our guide, Carol. She was knowledgeable and encouraging at every turn. She was amazing at planning and working around our needs and the weather. I would absolutely take another trip with Wilderness.
