As a tradesmen it’s nice to have workers who know where things are and what they are talking about; Olivia was exactly that! helped me find exactly ehat I needed in a timely manner. A credit to the store! Will be using reading far more often now!

Popped in to grab some project supplies and had a really seamless experience. A huge shoutout to Olivia who was incredibly helpful, friendly, and pointed me exactly where I needed to go. Store was tidy and well-stocked too. Will definitely be back!

All round great service. I frequently use this store as a tradesperson. The management team have been happy to assist on shop floor and direct me towards any materials I needed, till staff are always friendly and when I place a delivery to arrive on site it usually arrives next day. I would definitely recommend Wickes Reading.

Lizzy was great and guided me to the items I needed. She was brilliant and the Reading store is great.

Great experience, had the product I wanted in stock, straight to the tills where I was greeted and taken well care of by Lizzy, and home within the space of 15 minutes. Happy customer 😊

I can get stuff at Wickes that I can't get from other local DIY outlets - and often in sensible quantities (ie not having to buy 200 screws if I only want 1), but I do get frustrated with the lack of stock control (stuff out of stock or undiscoverable due to random shelf stacking). Timber cutting would be helpful.

I had a really positive experience at Wickes and was very impressed with the level of customer service. The staff were friendly, approachable and more than happy to help when I needed it.

What really stood out to me was that someone kindly offered to help me with my heavier purchases and carried them out to my car for me. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made things so much easier, especially with some of the heavier items I had bought.

It’s always nice to receive that extra bit of help and feel like the staff genuinely care about their customers. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish, and I would definitely recommend Wickes based on the service I received. Thank you to the team for being so helpful and welcoming!

Really happy with my visit, I came in to pick up a few things for a DIY project at home and wasn’t completely sure what I needed. One of the colleagues was really friendly and helpful and pointed me in the right direction, even helping me find a couple of things I wouldn’t have thought of. Made the whole trip so much easier and stress-free. Great customer service!

Useless morons MESSED up CLICK &COLLECT over 2 days - ordered p5 22mm floorboard from the store at the store as they only stock broken damaged ones- hoping they would get from back - they didn’t - wasted 40 min in shop - then received text order ready but shop was shutting at 3.55pm - went back - it was fake news to fulfil some target - went back Monday evening- the fools had wrong stock ready and the wrong count - could not resolve as still damaged stock on display - got REFUND - wasted time , petrol , and builder fees . WILL NOT CLICK AND COLLECT FROM THESE AMATEURS AGAIN

I bought eighteen bags of sub-base material over two visits to the Reading store and was very pleased with the value for money. On my second visit a number of the bags unfortunately were split and some of the contents ( not much) had spilled out. I was served by Lizzy who made a substantial discount on those bags which I thought was a very good gesture.

On the Wickes Trade Pro app, Who’s smart idea was it to remove choosing the door sizes on the door you want?? Now have to civ through the whole list!! Mading pricing up 6 times longer!! They want sacking IMMEDIATELY!

This is not the first time I shopping at reading Oxford Road Wickes, first the staff always looks bored, I take my Good's to check out and there was palettes on the floor, so my way was blocked one of the guy said sorry you have to find another way to the desk,
Same time they start to dance and sitting top of the good with mobiles. I make my way to the desk and I waiting 10 minutes, there was only 1 person service at the moment I look the other 2 guys and instead to serve me they left the pallets on the floor and walk way, this is was very bad experiences
I don't know if I come back to shopping again, I'm regular costumer,
Byning kitchen and bathroom suit.

Sadly didn't get the lady's name but she couldn't have been more helpful. She went over and above to take our order with a smile!

I advise you not to shop online with Wickes. Poor customer service and poor delivery service. I ordered 50 LITRES of soil, which is very heavy and due to my mobility unfortunately I’m not able to go into store. The driver refused to deliver to my door so it was left unattended and it was stolen. I’ve Been going back and fourth with Wickes and had to get a crime reference from the police. They then ONLY refunded me the price of the item and not my delivery charge. Which I did not ask for. I needed the soil for my plants clearly which is why I ordered it. The item has now gone up in price so I would have to pay double the amount which I’m extremely annoyed about. I am never shopping here again. I advise anyone not to shop here either

Today we returned to Wickes Ranliegh Road Ipswich with a surplus tin of Dulux emulsion paint with a receipt which was one week over the 30 day return policy we had purchased two tins but only needed one tin we spoke to the manager and told him we would accept a credit note instead of a refund but this was refused. We will not be buying anything else from Wickes in future.
