I believe in supporting journalism
I believe in supporting journalism and while I'm not a huge fan of Bezos, I have continued my subscription when it's at a "realistic" amount. I might read a dozen articles in a month but most of the time it's less.
My issue with them is that with all the amazing technology that Amazon has, the Washington Post itself leaves its subscribers in the dark when it comes to renewals and never provides notice. Sure it's great if you tell me today that it will auto renew in a year but when you refuse to give me any heads up, that's treating your customers like they're only as good as the money you can grab from them.
After receiving a charge for $120 via Paypal (and I know last year I asked Paypal NOT to allow charges from WaPo) I accessed WP from my phone and tried to cancel within minutes. The only option available to me was to cancel ONE year from now. By clicking cancel, they would promise not to renew in a year but nowhere was there an option to cancel NOW. This was literally in less than 10 minutes from the time they sent the charge through.
I continue to believe in journalism but not in Bezos.

Indiscriminate censorship
I have been a reader of WaPo for decades. Although there are still well researched articles by reputable journalists, I've seen much less criticism against current events. That is particularly seen in the Opinion pieces.
Also, they have started to censor indiscriminately. Despite carefully observing the Guidelines, comments get withheld from posting and come under "review". After that, one is prohibited from posting ANYTHING, no matter how harmless the comment is. EVERYTHING will be pulled for "review". I am all for respectful dialogue, despite being exposed to daily shocking rhetoric from highest public officers, but what WaPo does is undemocratic censorship.
Paid shills
Bunch of paid terrorists and democrat shills work here. There is nothing without bias here. Do not purchase their chinese funded content.
Billion dollar company that is democrat billionaire owned but still begs for handouts
They hate veterans
There attacking the veterans that get va payments that they blead for.
Reliable information
The place where you can trust the source of information. No yellow press, no news out of nowhere, not trying to hype from some events. I mean true journalism as it should be. Also like their authors, how they write, and topics they cover. Just pleasant to read, not 3 pages of water, facts and professional view. In short, and skipping the politics, like the newspaper.
I had read the Washington Post for many…
I had read the Washington Post for many years. The paper has lost its soul in the last two years. they used to be a progressive paper, critical of those in power, using decency and rationality. Now it became a paper that pretends to be left but hooked up in the fascist trump around trump. Democracy dies in broad daylight thanks to Bezos and other oligarchs.
Dumb bias
Dumb bias. Treat their workers horribly. Wish them nothing but bad luck møving forward
The Washington Post is a bias magazine. rag…
The Washington Post is a bias rag magazine. They are far left and I will never buy or read another of their magazines again. They never mention anything our President has done to improve our country and he was left a mess from the previous administration.
Contradiction raises questions
The Washington Post professes to champion personal liberty and free-market principles, yet backs an administration intent on undermining free trade through government-imposed tariffs.
This contradiction raises questions about its editorial consistency and ideological integrity.
Lost Veracity
Bezos vowed to not interfere with the Washington Post content, but he lied. Today the WP is just another tabloid paper along the lines of Fox Propaganda Lite.

The demise of a once-great newspaper
This newspaper had been regarded as one of the finest in the United States. In the twentieth century, the paper rose to prominence under the leadership of Katharine Meyer Graham. It covered the Pentagon Papers and Watergate; the newspaper earned a Pulitzer. Sadly, its days of journalistic excellence are behind it. Jeff Bezos, the current owner, has decided that his avaricious interests are best served by being one of Trump's sycophants. Since November 2024, he has actively interfered with the editors' work at the paper, and many of its renowned journalists and key personnel have quit in protest.

The Washington Post is censored by its new owner Jef Bezos. A very dangerous development in my eyes. As we all know is Bezos a very intimate friend of Donald and Elon. The concentration of power within a small group has become a dangerous development for the world these days. That's why nobody should read the Washington Post or order products from Amazon. Let Jef be the only one who reads his own crap.
