Never had to claim on pet insurance before but although it is a very busy time I was fully reimbursed within 2 weeks and the service was first class and was kept fully up to date at all times with progress and claim progression.

Just had to claim for my dog who was diagnosed with mitral valve disease, the claim was successful and the process so quick and easy. I was informed by Waggel of every step during the process which was very quick to resolve! Recommend this insurance for your best friend 🐕

Greedy insurance company
Greedy insurance company, doesn’t pay claims on advertised timelines, ignores complaints for as long as they can they don’t give a crap that your dogs not well.
They lie online on the website stating clearly we NORMALLY pay claims within 7 days, however if you ask anyone at waggel or complain they say we settle claims in 14 days, the website is badly managed, the company can’t sort out the claims form that’s broken and the company is one big scam, Andrew leal, CEO borrows cash at an alarming rate checks companies house avoid waggel choose pet plan, they raise premiums just because you had a claim unlike waggel who tried to recoup their money from the policyholder who claimed

We understand that waiting for a claim outcome can be frustrating, particularly when you’re concerned about your pet. Our website advises that claims are normally processed within 7 days; however, some claims can take longer depending on the complexity of the claim, work load, the information required, and whether further checks are needed. Our full process allows up to 14 working days for claims to be reviewed and completed.
We do not delay complaints or claims intentionally. All claims are assessed against the policy terms and conditions, and any additional information required is requested to ensure claims are reviewed accurately and fairly.
Premiums are not increased simply because a customer has made a claim. Renewal pricing is based on a range of factors, including changes in veterinary costs, your pet’s age, breed, location, and the overall claims experience of the insured group.
We appreciate your feedback regarding our website and claims process, and we continue to review these areas to improve the customer experience.

Unsure about having to contact online vet prior to visiting vet. I would have thought that a phone call to my vet would provide sufficient triage.

I have insurance with waggel and am not…
I have insurance with waggel and am not happy at all. Unbeknown to me when applying for the insurance we put that my dog was of mixed breed which she is mastiff crossed with a dutch herder. When claiming for an xray to be done we were told that the breed was incorrect. We apparently pressed a mixed breed such is of 3 dogs or more. We were not aware of this at the time of doing the form and now im being told i have to pay double the amount albeit we did another form to see how much it would cost and its not as much as they are saying now. They are still daying we have to pay the higher amount which i feel is most definitely incorrect. Going from 57.99 to over 125 to me is wrong. Like i say after soing the form again it came uo with 100...confused is not the word. I am currently fighting them about this.
So no i would not recommend them at all.

We’re sorry to hear you’re unhappy with the update to your policy. When a policy is taken out, the details provided by the customer, including breed information, are used to calculate the premium and ensure the policy is rated correctly.
Where the breed details provided do not match the information available i.e. medical history, we need to update the policy details and recalculate the premium accordingly. This is to ensure the policy accurately reflects the risk associated with the pet being insured.
We appreciate that premium changes can be unexpected, however the updated premium is based on the corrected information rather than the original details provided at the point of purchase. We understand you are currently discussing this with our team and they will continue to review any information provided as part of your query.
