I'll keep my wallet instead

The website has changed a lot since I last used it. Although it still contains the same content and is great as a tool for beginners, it keeps trying to push the paid tiers onto me. Almost anything besides the course material or try-it editor requires payment to use now. The certificates are not worth buying as the content is introductory. You're better off proving your skill through a portfolio.

A game changer for computing students…

A game changer for computing students specialising in programming/web development!

After learning some website development in college classes, I went to this website to do some revision and self-study for HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It breaks down all of the different elements and code into separate, bite-sized pieces. Due to this structure, I am more easily able to learn exactly what I want about web development.

In addition, there's also a "how to" page that tells you step-by-step how to code certain popular features of a website, like modal popups or how to make an image slideshow.

Would defo recommend this site to any programmer wanting to learn a new language or two :)

W3Schools has completely changed the way I learn! The site is incredibly easy to use, beginner-friendly, and packed with practical examples that make even complex coding concepts simple to understand. I especially love the “Try it Yourself” feature—it lets me practice and experiment instantly without needing any setup.

The structured tutorials have helped me progress step by step, and I feel more confident in my coding skills every day. Whether it’s HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or more advanced topics, W3Schools makes learning fun and approachable.

This platform has truly been life-changing for my learning journey. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who wants to start coding or sharpen their skills!

Review

Amazing structure and tutorials/guides. Much better then codecademy in my opinion as I can work on my personal projects while using w3schools as a reference to help me write my code.

It's sort of like an instruction manual with all the information you need if you're stuck. Specifically with the Python course.

I love the way they structure it and how they present their information, it's perfect for creative practical learners who are beginners and need that go-to reference if they're stuck (without going down rabbit holes to find solutions/answers).
