Fantastic Platform for Newcomers with Great Opportunities!
I recently joined Voices.com, and my experience has been fantastic! As a newcomer, I’ve found that the platform provides all the essential tools to quickly align with my career goals. I haven’t needed to look elsewhere so far—the job opportunities are readily available and easy to access, as long as you have the right demos and relevant information in place.
Moreover, the projects I've received have been both interesting and enjoyable to work on.

The More You Know
I checked the legitimacy of this website before I signed up and everywhere I checked said it's the real deal. I'm here to tell you that it is. It was easy to set up my profile. The tutorials are excellent and extremely helpful to the novice, which I am. I am also pretty sure that it was made clear to me before I signed up that the field is extremely competitive, and perseverance wins the day. I auditioned 364 times before my first hire and it took nearly a year. Once I did get hired I wasn't quite sure of the process but the website walked me right through it with ease. I look forward to a continued relationship with Voices.

An excellent platform for dubber but...
An excellent platform that has helped me grow professionally and sometimes brings me interesting projects that pay pretty well from clients who (almost) recognize the true value of a voice-over artist. The only downside is the cost of the premium subscription, which I might accept if I didn't also have to pay an additional 20% tax on my earnings! Why take away even more of my income when I’m already paying for the annual pro subscription? With the taxes the Italian government hits me with, there’s really not much left for us professionals!

The premium membership does come with a cost, and the advantages for premium talent include daily job invitations that match the talent’s profile and skill set, sent to the talent directly, and access to the world’s best brands all in one place - something that would be difficult to do on your own. The membership fee also ensures that the premium talent on Voices are at the professional level required to meet the needs of clients, to ensure clients continue to come back to Voices to post their jobs.

For talent who are just getting started, we offer help and resources at both www.voices.com/help and www.voices.com/resources. Our YouTube channel also has hundreds of videos on everything from setting up a home studio, to the best microphones, to how to submit a strong audition. These might all be helpful to you.
We do have a free guest membership, which gives you the opportunity to build up your profile on our website, upload unlimited demos, and receive private invites to jobs. The best way to maximize these opportunities is to fully fill out your profile and add high-quality demos - tagging them all properly - so that clients can see what you're capable of. Both your profile and your demos are essential to success on Voices.
If you’ve signed up for the premium membership, which does come with a cost, you’ll receive daily job opportunities that match your profile and skill set, sent to you directly. As we mentioned above, it can take time to be successful on the Voices platform, so ensuring you’ve followed the steps for a strong profile and demos while continuing to audition often are essential for booking work. Great VO artist but site functionality needs work
We had a great experience with the voiceover artist. However, we found the user interface of voices.com to be lacking some functionality.
Our project required an NDA but it wasn't possible to send this documentation privately to the VO artist as an attachment via voice.coms messaging. We could only upload files to the job folder and other VO artists we had shortlisted could also view the file. There is no way to remove VO artists from the shortlist once you have selected the person you wish to work with.
We think the site needs some kind of functionality to cater for NDA signing before jobs are awarded.

PAYMENT issue resolved
I had an issue with a returned payment. It took a few days but the support team at Voices was responsive.
The experience with the client for this particular job was great, they were communicative, professional and provided clear directions through the platform.

We've checked with our team and it appears that you were hired for this project through a studio. According to our records that work was paid out, so you would need to reach out to the studio directly for payment.

Good platform but I didn't have the best experience.
Decent interface but really struggled to find work, even as someone with good VO experience and pro recording equipment. It's extremely competitive and actors can undercut each other.
I arranged a call with one of their staff to get some advice or assistance and they had some good insight but they made me feel like I was wasting their time a bit.
My main gripe was a big AI project they recently advertised. Only 4 out of 10 clips were approved without clear reasoning given and payment was sent to the wrong email PayPal that I couldn't access.
I know that many people had similar experiences and their CS Team were flooded with messages but I sent multiple emails and initially didn't receive any responses.
EDIT: I am updating this review and increasing the original star rating as Adam from Voices did reach out. He was really nice and gave me some reassurances over what happened. It sounds like the rejection of clips was based on the end client rather than Voices themselves. They also covered the payment that was owed and sent that to my correct PayPal address so I'm grateful for that!
It's a shame that I had to write a review to get a response and I wouldn't have been upset if that explanation was given right away and if payment was arranged properly but I'm glad it's now finally sorted.
I'd generally advise others to not get involved in AI projects where your content is feeding an AI dataset. Companies can use your content/data and underpay you as I'm sure the client has been doing in this case. Due to the nature of AI, there's no way to prove what's been used or claim ownership. We must tread carefully in this day and age.
Overall, I'll say that Voices is a well made platform and worth it if you're starting out, especially if you can get a deal on one of their plans. Just be aware that you have to put in the time as the industry is extremely competitive and frustrating issues can arise.

Nice portal for increasing your skills
Very well prepared portal and workflow for talents. A little bit too expensive premium membership. Pretty poor management of open project.. they hanged open for weeks/months without resolution. Support from portal in increasing skills and environment are very useful. Very good cooperation with Edge Studio. In general very good portal.
