Avoid this to all costs. They constantly bombarded me with job offers to apply but they don't teach you how to do this work. I speak many different languages so would be so beneficial to both - but they don't care about finding good workers for them. Bad reviews speaking for themselves.

Don't make me laugh. Took voiceover classes and paid handsomely for course as well as professional demo. I was a Voices premium member since 2016. I only cancelled for one year because my full-time corporate job left me little time for auditions. I retired over two years ago and signed up again. Their motto is to pay them $499 a year just to have the privilege of viewing available jobs--many of which clients decide and complete without even listening to you. Whatever you quote gets decreased with brokerage fees before you are even short-listed! I was up for renewal recently. I was offered just $100 off for $399. Big deal. It didn't matter I had been a long-standing member. I asked for 50% off and was declined. So much for loyalty, so much for damage control, and so much for good customer service to maintain clients. The one job (after hundreds of auditions) where I was awarded chose a male voice over mine. I netted $80 for a client budget of $100--Voices had to clip my $20 on top of the ridiculous premium membership yearly fee- and I only received one great review from the ad agency and no recognition for the online ad. Very sad and unfair for struggling voice actors to be treated this way. Don't walk, run from Voices. Such a money grab and scam.

Whether you're an experienced VO actor or just getting started, Voices is a great partner. Jobs posted on Voices are vetted and actors don't have to invoice or chase clients to get paid. Voices handles the business side so you as an actor can audition and do what you do best.

Provides talent with great opportunities to audition for and book fun projects and work with professionals in the VO industry while building a diverse portfolio.

Voices was very easy to use. Lots of options for voice over work, a good way to save your favorites and send them to a client "vote" on, and an easy way to communicate with the actor, upload/download files, and send payment. The only thing I sometimes struggled with was the following:
- When you save your favorites, it would have been nice to be able to click on the person's name and go right to that person's profile from there.
- Sometimes it was confusing how to get back to project to send messages to the actor.
These are mostly software UX issues that I figured out, however it could have been a little more intuitive. Overall, great experience and we found a professional voice over actor that fit our clients needs.

I’ve been a member of voice.com for a little while and have been working in the Voice over industry for 45 years in four different countries. All I get is lots of jobs being sent to my inbox for very little money and no acceptances. It seems a bit of a scam to ask for £300 memberships And then just have a compute Send you out jobs 24 hours a day seven days a week that don’t lead anywhere. It’s better to pay extra to be with an agent to actually get work otherwise all you’re doing is recording spots for voices.com, and having no idea whether they using them or not , these are my thoughts, and I’ve seen long explanations of how good voices.com is, but all my friends in the industry have had no luck on this platform so just thought you’d like to know. Hang onto your money and go with a company that checks you out 1st to make sure you have what it takes not like voices who will take anybody or actually take their money …I’m still checking them out still providing some auditions but I am making sure there’s a tone in all of them so they can’t be used. I’ll report back in a few more weeks

Charging for the privilege of applying for jobs is a bad system that benefits them and not the artists. They get paid whether you get any work or not. Try unsubscribing from their bombardment of promotional emials and you'll find the unsubscribe link is a dummy link. Avoid. There are much better agencies than this scam.

And even though 5 mins to closing
He made a big effort
Something you don’t see very often these days

I was an early adopter of the site when they first came on the scene in 2005, but deleted my profile after a couple years due to poor job quality, low budgets and inability to see how many auditions had already been received and when. I reviewed the site again last fall and my concerns were only heightened. They take money from you and the client, plus they handle all the invoicing. So you can never really be sure how much money the client is paying and what share you're actually receiving. Clients would be advised to seek out and hire talent directly. This gives more financial and creative control to the client and maximum funding to the talent where it belongs.

Voices.com has provided me with many unique recording opportunities and return clients. I enjoy the content I record and am happy to breathe life into these projects using my voice!

Voices has been a great place to start my VO Career! Lots of jobs to audition for, good filter system to find the right roles and a very easy audition-submission experience!

Although the projects in Brazil are very competitive.
It's the best platform to work

If you have any respect for creative talents, or respect for yourself as a creative talent, then stay away from this platform. $499 a year just for the pleasure of auditioning for voice over jobs for a percentage of an unknown amount that the client (who you can't communicate with) has paid. Plus skimming another 20% of the job fee on top of that AND making the client pay for the transfer fees.
You'd think making thousands a year just from membership fees alone would be enough that they could happily step back and allow the artists to communicate with their clients about fees and project requirements, y'know, like actual professionals?
My account is now deleted and I hope many other artists do the same.

Voices is not a scam website. There are some very good talents on their platform. A lot of these talents are also on Voice123 and many other pay to play sites.
It's important to understand, if you're a client, that the voice actor is getting screwed by them. Daily. They charge an absurd 20% in what they laughably call "platform fees", and they take it out of the voice actor's pocket. In addition to making the voice talent pay 500.00 a year for a membership.
No one except Voices is making money. The same auditions go out to multiple sites. Voices will ensure that THEY and THEY alone make the biggest percentage - and they do the least work.
A VO is between a client and a talent. Voices should stay out the way. I'll continue booking actors thru agencies - like in the real world. Voices is only out for itself. Oh - and they actually have the temerity to want to charge CLIENTS a membership as well.
Guys... you're bad news and actors despise you. What's great is that clients do too now and we're on to your disreputable business practices.
Voices was described to me as a cult mentality. Punishing its talent if they don't follow the "rules" to the letter. They don't even let the talent communicate with the clients like everyone else in the universe does. Email or phone. They keep it all contained.
Really awful business model. And of course actors are stupid enough to fall for it.
Shame on all of you.
Now... whip up that cult response and tell me how wrong I am. You can't help yourself, I know.

Great experience. Very quick responses and top quality voice overs! I will forever use them for my voice overs.

the website has twice locked me out for no reason and I mostly can't stand their system but the quality of talent it connects me with is worth the pain. I usually then try to work with the talent off platform on future projects.

Very useful platform, easy to use and creates great connection between freelancer artists and clients.
