My uncle has ulcers on both feet
My uncle has ulcers on both feet , we have been taking him to the hospital podiatrist for two months now. Last week one foot was red and oozing pus, the hospital took a tissue sample and sent in a request to our surgery for antibiotics. We went back to the hospital again a week later and they could not understand why the surgery had not prescribed anything. He has a nasty infection in his foot now relating to two different types of bugs. Hospital gave us a prescription themselves and we got it done on the spot! Since vita took over it’s useless trying to get an appointment.
Inexperienced and Unprofessional Company
I was referred by work for 6 sessions of counselling, then a year later, CBT and then enhanced CBT.
Both the first counselling and the first CBT were done by inexperienced people who either ate during the video call, were unable to ask the right questions, or instructed me to learn my own CBT on the SilverCloud app. I don't see how this can benefit anyone, except Vita Health, with a mission to filter out people so they pay as little as possible.
The enhanced CBT was with someone who was genuinely experienced; I felt they asked me the right questions with a caring attitude. However, I was discharged due to a miscommunication, which I think should have an appeal process. We're humans, right?
An unprofessional company. If you value your own mental health, go to anyone but these. Find a reputable therapist/counsiller that isn't part of a larger organisation.

Our local surgery now acquired by Vita. Trying to get an appointment now is nigh on impossible and have to fill out lengthy triage online form and asked to submit photos of conditions. What has happened to our NHS, that we are putting our trusted and paid for services in the hands of private, profit making companies who are simply not fit for purpose!!!
Shockingly inept and dismissive
This company are appalling to deal with. I spent months chasing them, acting as a go between (their job, not mine) and ultimately ended up being discharged back to my GP to start the whole Dermatology referral process again.
Are they making it as confusing, disjointed and opaque as possible? I ended up in tears of sheer frustration on more than one occasion. What is the point of this organisation?
Added beaurocracy, poor communication, information not being passed on, blood test results seemingly disappearing into the ether. They’re quick to blame the patient for not following their inexplicably confusing procedures.
I’ve now lost three days at work - for which I’m not being paid - by attending appointments, only for Vita to inform me I didn’t book a follow up in time. I received no instructions to do this; instead I was led to believe the consultant would contact me.
A curt message to tell me that I’d been removed and to see my GP.
This company are unprofessional, don’t care about the people they claim to ‘help’, snd serve only to make the referral process not just stressful but distressing.
Absolutely disgusting. Whoever gave them a contract should be fired.

Waste of everyone's time and valuable resources
Invited to send photos of dermatalogical symptoms. Received no notice that a telephone appointment had been arranged for me and despite assurances that reminders had been sent, nothing in email. I was contacted today whilst volunteering for a local charity, so could not take the call. It seems I have to get anther referral from my GP. What a waste of valuable time and resources.

AVOID
Referred from work for physiotherapy, what a waste of time, I can honestly say it was the worst treatment I’ve ever received after trying two different physiotherapists within the group. On speaking to vitahealth call centre, they didn’t even sound surprised when I said no more treatment as the quality was so poor.

Asked for video physio got phone call …2 minutes - cancelled
Asked for video physio call from Benenden - no link sent from Vita Health -they telephoned me instead (my phone doesn't take unknown numbers) - Phoned at 10.32 left a message will try one more time and then at 10.34 - Then while on the phone to their office after trying and failing to use their live chat as you can't physically see the reply screen on your phone to type -talking about what had just happened about my 10.30 appt (which should have run until 11.00) I received an email at 10.38 email saying DNA!
Raised complaint with them but have little faith having seen these reviews Raised a complaint with Benenden too as they are the ones who have a contract for these services from this group and should be monitoring performance and patient satisfaction Re-arranged for tomorrow and advised did not want the same physio that had acted so poorly today

Worst service I have ever experienced.
Worst service I have ever experienced.
I was referred to Vita through my Aviva health insurance to access mental health support. It had been three months, and I still haven’t started treatment through Vita.
For weeks, I received updates telling me that Vita had been unable to find a suitable face-to-face therapist in my area. Rather than presenting me with options or proactively helping me access treatment, I was simply told that no suitable therapist could be found. Eventually, I began researching therapists myself because I felt I had no other choice.
After almost two months, Vita identified a single therapist. However, the introduction was handled very poorly. I received missed calls from an unknown number without any meaningful voicemail or clear explanation of who was contacting me or why. There was no proper introduction or coordination from Vita to ensure treatment could begin. Instead, I later received follow-up emails asking whether I had heard from the therapist. Given that this was the only therapist they had identified after months of searching, I found it astonishing that the introduction was managed so poorly.
Throughout the process, I found myself doing much of the work that I expected Vita to do. I repeatedly had to chase updates, research therapists myself after being told none could be found, and navigate confusing internal processes instead of being supported. Rather than reducing my stress at a time when I was actively seeking mental health care, the entire experience made it significantly worse.
I also identified a therapist in my local area who was part of Aviva's wider network, but due to Vita's internal pathway requirements they refused to facilitate treatment with her. While they explained their contractual position, that did little to change the fact that, as a patient seeking support, I remained without treatment.
My complaint was met with detailed timelines explaining Vita's internal processes, but very little acknowledgement of the actual outcome: after almost three months, I was still unable to access the care I had been referred for.
Mental health services should make it easier for people to get help when they need it most. Sadly, my experience was the opposite. I hope Vita reviews its operational processes, communication and patient journey, because my experience fell well below the standard I expected from a provider delivering mental health services on behalf of an insurer.
**Update:** Vita Health Group has now responded to this review asking me to get in touch. Unfortunately, this only reinforces my experience with the organisation. I have already been in contact with multiple teams within Vita and have been through their formal complaints process, so asking me to "get in touch" demonstrates the same lack of internal communication that I experienced throughout my case.
Public responses expressing concern are of little value when they are not reflected in the service being provided behind the scenes. My experience was characterised by poor communication, repeated handoffs between different teams, and a lack of ownership of my case. I would much rather see Vita focus on improving its operational processes than posting customer-friendly responses that, in my experience, do not reflect the reality of the service provided.

I attended therapy as a private patient.
CBT was incredibly useful to me as it provided management tools that i continue to use even after having had all of my sessions.
I am 17 and I had made a great connection to my therapist, I would highly recommend this method of therapy to other teens

NHS Kent And Medway Talking Therapies
NHS Kent And Medway Talking Therapies: Vita Health Group And We Are With You
10 Gatefield Lane, Faversham, ME13 8NX
I was referred to this for serious mental health issues. After several attempts to be assessed and nothing further from them my GP ultimately told me it was to the detriment of my mental health to continue with them as it was causing so much frustration upset and distress constantly chasing and being let down.
Despite many requests I never got my assessment results nor any treatment or referral.
Communications were sent from no reply email addresses and numbers, and they frequently cancelled appointments or “forgot” to send correspondence.
The assessors would either cancel or hang up on me and there way no way to get back in touch meaning you went to the back of the queue to await another assessment again.
The assessors were also not qualified, and read off a generic script asking things like how often you have tried to end your life in the past months/6 months/12 months.
Correspondence ignored and the matter remains unresolved. No care or consideration for me as a vulnerable individual, no sense of decency nor urgency to actually provide any kind of help or support, and no progress or updates forthcoming.
It’s absolutely shocking that taxpayer money is being sent to this private company who are wholly incompetent and help nobody. The reviews on this site are completely accurate. This is a business through and through and the tactic appears to be to do as little work as possible and still get paid for it by the taxpayer for the NHS contract. How and why this company was selected is beyond comprehension.

Recruitment team are discriminating and…
Recruitment team are discriminating and the process of hiring is lacking training towards qualifications and they would rather taken on people whom have no experience or qualifications.
This ends up being the outcomes of lacking in healthcare towards people who need the help.
Recruitment failure and poor management of ethical standards!

Awful service and no communication…
Awful service and no communication whatsoever. I wanted to visit a clinic in Hornchurch where I’ve been for years and was told it wasn’t on their clinic list. This wasn’t true. I had to ask to speak to a manager and literally insist on my appointment being where I always went. I’m very unhappy with VHG’s management approach and underhanded information on the clinic availability. This is not representative of quality care.

Attended as a private patient through Bupa - I am 10 weeks post Total knee replacement and I have only had 3 physio sessions 1 of which was a massage due to cancelled sessions, no follow up and reception forgetting to book in sessions. Knee replacement requires diligent physiotherapy follow up. This just failed to happen. Avoid

Terrible experience
Refused to speak to me cause I'm autistic, I feel really let down at a time when I really need support, I don't recommend at all.

Condescending rude woman talking down…
Condescending rude woman talking down to and patrons I my daughter says she don't deal with suicidal people and her services aren't for that so preced to force us to go to a&e or she would call an ambulance. My daughter has suicidal thoughts has done for 2 years and was referred here by child mental health services who knows her background.
My daughter was upset by the phone call and is autistic she didn't understand the questions properly and the woman was abrupt clearly passing the buck to a&e who of course referred back to CAHMS and NHS time wasted all because I wanted someone to her to talk too.

Not particularly good
They at least listened, yet to they massively failed to make the assessment individual. I had previously used a TP service in another area and they were much better as it was a NHS and not outsourced like the Bristol area to Vita Health. I certainly would not recommend, the service I was after wasn't available. Apparently it was closed to new applicants.
HCBT gave me enough courage to say "Sod you Vita Health" and I will deal with this myself"
Avoid Vita Health, they are tick box company and the assessment is not personalised.
Go private, look to see if you employer offers a service with another company.

Absolutely shocking mental health service
I made a self referral on 21/01 as my mental health was suffering.
My assessment appointment was made for 17/03 which was subsequently cancelled by them on 05/03.
I then rearranged for 25/02 and again this has been cancelled today.
This is not acceptable, I can't even get an assessment to be carried out let alone get some much needed therapy.
No wonder the suicides rates are so high this is a joke!
Go and speak to your friends or family instead at least they won't keep cancelling on you!

Utterly dehumanising experience
Utterly dehumanising experience, awful service by people who talk down to you, it seems that if you attend as an NHS patient you are basically treated like an animal.
No attempt to remedy or diagnose the issue with my knees.
Just seems to be an operation to skim money from the NHS.
Will do everything in my power to never attend again completely unfit for purpose.
