Nonesense data with charts & figures that has nothing to do with reality
Wow, I saw 2 separate clangers. Palestine apparently spent $1.2 on defense in 2024. Nobody would claim their domestic security was a military. I mean, like, nobody.
Meanwhile, they claim Palestine suffered fewer deaths than Ukraine. Sure, if you include Russian dead. Otherwise, once again, nobody would claim that. In fact it is so inaccurate that it's hard to see how even a biased reporter could pen it.
These jumped out as being just bizarre. I wonder what else is misrepresented.
Really consistent content & lots of eye candy.
I have been subscribed to their VC+ newsletter which gives more in-depth coverage which has been great, mainly subbed for their annual predictions.
Frequently releases poorly researched data. In a work life balance graph for example they said Sweden had 16 weeks of maternity leave at 75% salary in a comparison of maternity/parental leave between different countries. That's obviously false since Sweden has from 56 weeks of parental leave at 80% of the salary (of which the father must take 12).
There's no contact form link from the article itself to easily supply corrections to the articles either, which shows that visual capitalist is not interested in feedback. When I dug around on the website for a contact form I finally found one, only it didn't work and I got a technical error when I pressed submit.
Do not even visit this website. As the data is poorly researched and misleading.
Interesting, thought-provoking, and greatly designed visual representation of what’s happening around the globe.

VC’s latest post about the richest people in 2024 was a disappointment..it as a cut and paste job..why was Jacob Rothschilds not listed..you think he is poor..the owner of the International Monetary Fund..owner of most of the central banks in world aka BlackRock.
A lot of detailed info distilled into understandable graphics. However, their backers seem to be almost exclusively big players in the mineral, mining and natural resources industries. This brings into question the veracity of their published data. If they could take on at least one significant environmental organization as, I dunno, an "advisor" it might help. We can't of course just assume their data is biased in favor of the mining industry, but we also can't know it isn't.
A number of analysis and questions to acquire analysis are skewed and narrow. They appear to be constructed to an obvious conclusion. It appears to be from White American male value system.
Ever had that friend back in school who was good in stats AND art? If not, you're in for a treat! Visual Capitalist is great at explaining most topics using entertaining infographics and relevant statistics.
What an informative site. Perfect content. Even complicated things are explained simply by their info charts. Keep up the same good job.
