Dropped my membership when they began charging shipping to Canada. The "new" VMP tried to renew my subscription without permission 6 times in March, using my old credit information. Fortunately, the... See more

Written by the company
We are storytellers, curators & a community who understand the impact a great album can have on someone. And, we are firm believers that vinyl is the best medium for creating these experiences. We’re fascinated by the long (sometimes grueling) journey a record takes by the time it’s in your hands — from artist to studio to pressing plant, and beyond. Because of our dedication to the process and the people behind it.

VMP started off slow
VMP started off slow, got REALLY good and then end of last year imploded. Being member gave you access to some great titles, then that stopped. Now being a member is nothing more than having exclusive first dibs on their inventory of titles no one wanted. The problem with this new format is, if I wanted those titles I’d have gotten them already.
Customer service at VMP is great
Customer service at VMP is great. I wish a tele option was available but the remote service has worked great for me this time. Thank uou
I received this service as a gift
I received this service as a gift, and it was auto renewed costing me over $500. Customer service will not call me back to cancel this subscription. It is very hard to find records of known artists most months, the selection is too obscure for me.

Fumes released that strained my facial muscles when I opened magazine shipment.
You guys are s shadow of former self
You guys are s shadow of former self. Monthly picks are pathetic. New format of the club is also no good. Going to give it one more QTR and hoping for improvements.

A good record company in transition
I like vinyl me please because they have been good at reissuing older albums that are out of print, as well as finding new artists. They are undergoing a transition from an album of the month format to more of a free pick among multiple albums for your membership fee.
It is too new to review, but I think it will be good if the choices are broad enough
Once excellent, now floundering
A once excellent service has seemingly fallen apart. Initially gutted to have international shipping taken away, though less so since seeing the continuous changes to RoTM and selections available. As well as ongoing issue fulfilling orders.
My order of Black Sabbath’s Master of Reality is only a few weeks off its first birthday (ordered March ‘24). Please send me my record, then I can thankfully not have to think about VMP again.
A very unreliable service.
Just not pleased with the new format…
Just not pleased with the new format and will be deciding whether to keep my membership or move on. What I liked about VMP was the idea that you would select and send me something for me to discover - if I have to pick myself then the likelihood I will pick something I am unfamiliar with is low.

Received multiple warped copies of records and was offered a store credit but I no longer have a subscription because they have canceled international customers program so that credit is rendered useless for me
Fast helpful Response. Thanks!
Not the same VMP, not renewing
After 2 years, I am not renewing when my subscription ends. The company and focus are not what they were when I joined. The track I originally joined under no longer exists. The recent curations since then have not been promising of things to come. Constant delays and pushbacks of preorders, multiple times. I have several that are going on 7 months behind. When I joined, the idea was "the experience" as they pitched it. Putting on a record and sitting down with the liner booklet to read while listening, for deeper immersion. The booklets are now gone, replaced with a monthly generic zine. I have several months left that I will ride out to see how it goes, but having swapped for store credit the last two months in a row, it's not looking good.
I had a damaged sleeve on my last…
I had a damaged sleeve on my last record of the month and I reached out and within the same day had all the info on a new copy being mailed out. Also received the new copy in less than a week. You guys have always been fantastic!
Was sent the wrong record
Was sent the wrong record, but VMP has remedied the situation by sending me the correct record. Still waiting for product to arrive via mail.
VMP puts together some of the most…
VMP puts together some of the most beautifully packaged records available. From the jackets, to the inserts, to the pressings themselves. The record always come out of the sleeve clean and ready to spin, which I appreciate so much.
One thing I wish would change is the ability to change swap selections after the initial submission. It would make sense to me to disallow this on the notion that once the swap is selected then the process begins on packaging the record and getting it ready for shipment; however, sometimes shipping is delayed and the ROTM doesn’t get shipped until the 2nd or 3rd week of the month, in my experience. I would like to see some improvement there. In addition, it would be nice to have quicker customer service response times. Live chat would be nice, or at least same-day response windows.
Other than that, no complaints here. Keep up the good work! You’ve exposed me to so much music that I otherwise would never have sought out.
It's so expensive
It's so expensive, and no longer exclusive. Sure, they might have a limited color, but before they were the only variant. Hardly the case these days.
Refusing to send orders
On September 5, 2024, I placed an order with this company. It was an order using $300 of store credit that I had accrued over the years. It is now November 12, 2024 and I still do not have my order. All items in my order are IN STOCK. Customer service takes a week to reply and when they do, they provide irrelevant information and do not answer my question as to when my order will ship. I have contacted customer service SIXTEEN TIMES and they still cannot give me a straight answer. I can see the same comments on other review sites signaling that this is not an isolated issue. This company is becoming fraudulent and sketchy.
