Vimeo is a frustrating platform. Its layout and menus change frequently. The analytics are useless: completely inaccurate. The video quality is good, I will grant that. But mostly it's overpriced and... See more

I bought subcriotion 😂😂😂I got 8 second for making a film which was not successful. So their subcriotion doesn't allow you to make as many videos you want after eight seconds you should to pay more if you want to keep going with your project. Ridiculous!!! Next 30 secund cost 25$. App is not worth to download is my opinion.

I have been using Vimeo for over 20 Years

I was an early adopter when they started in 2004. I have been using Vimeo for over 20! Forget Youtube (except for distribution of course) but as a Video Server and Community, Vimeo is truly unmatched. Ease of use, Power, Customization, Showcases, I could go on and on but I won't. Just trust me and Go Vimeo!

Vimeo Support = 0

I've been with Vimeo for many years, using their services to host my guitar teaching videos.
Recently, I had a few of my students reach out stating they couldn't watch some of my videos due to privacy settings.
I was confused because I've globally set my videos to 'Unlisted' on the site, and entered the domains where my videos are available so that members can access them.
I reached out to Vimeo about this and was told this:

"We have identified that the videos you are attempting to update contain Vimeo Stock media. As of April 2025, Vimeo Stock has been officially retired. While your existing videos remain in your library, the privacy and embedding settings for clips containing these specific stock assets are now permanently fixed."

I've never used Vimeo Stock Media for a start, and all of my videos are always 'Unlisted' which means they shouldn't have been affected. This was pretty much a lie from their side. Later in the email I was told a 'Special Products' team would reach out to me ASAP...that was two weeks ago and I haven't heard from them.

I've written several more emails to them in the original case email thread, and opened a new case but I'm being ghosted. Haven't heard from anyone there in 11 days.

I'm getting multiple complaints from frustrated students and Vimeo isn't helping me at all.

5 years of being overbilled...

After being a customer of them for 5 years, had to cancel because we found out much cheaper options for the amount of bandwidth, besides customer support kept ignoring us and found their video player was very easily hacked, thus people could download and steal our videos, after paying close to $2.5k a month, we went with another provide for a tenth of that amount with the same bandwidth and much better

Say no to subscription for Vimeo services

Adding subscription is bad enough but to force people to subscript for such basic need as setting a video to privet and to be able to view with only with link provided is beyond greedy. I understand making money from storage but we should have an option to set our video's privet and with only access to those with a link without having to pay a ridiculous subscription fee. I'm moving to another platform!

Never seen a worst company ever

After more than 10 years in business with them, I decided to switch video hosts. After investing thousands of dollars with Vimeo, here's how this company thanks its long-time clients:

First, it's impossible to modify the subscription from the interface. Not a good start.

After Covid, they quadrupled their rates. They can change their contract and sales terms at any time without respecting their long-time clients.

Above all, they threaten you even when you're no longer using the service and the account has been deleted.

Their latest threat was to charge me for the entire following year, even though 30 days prior, I had emailed them saying I no longer wanted to subscribe to their service.

Of course, I kept the evidences just to share a good story during family meals.

If you're wondering how to destroy your business in less than 3 years, ask the Vimeo team. They're the experts.

And finally, this service is overpriced.

I could make a YouTube video on this topic. I'm sure it would interest thousands of users. I will do it without hesitation if this company tries to charge me again for services I no longer use.

Age verification EU/UK

I'm currently downloading all my videos from Vimeo, they won't let me login unless I verify my ID. Sorry, not having it, why do you need ID but can accept payment ? `bye bye - you gonna lose a lot of customers.

Been a user of Vimeo for ages

Been a user of Vimeo for ages. Now they ask for my ID in order to """verify""" my age? When even based on the account age itself, if I made the account when I was born, I'd still be 18. Utter disgrace of a service.
