Disappointing Experience

I ordered a rucksack from VerticalExtreme on Amazon Sweden which by the promised latest date for delivery, had not even been dispatched. I wrote two messages on two consecutive days asking for information and received no reply to either, so I had to cancel the order. I’m sorry but I will not use this company again.

Excellent

Fast shipping, amazing discount, good packaging. I got the La Sportiva TX5 from here in size 45.5, for only 94€. They are fantastic shoes and, while obviously previously returned, were in new unworn condition.

The discount price was so cheap that I looked up the shop here thinking it might be a scam shop (many of those around these days, unfortunately), but they delivered, and extremely quickly at that (I ordered it on a Thursday and it arrived on Friday / Saturday afterwards at my home in Vienna, Austria).

really good shopping experience

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with VerticalExtreme was outstanding. My order was shipped quickly, and I had to make a return for an exchange — the process was handled very fast and without any issues. I’m really satisfied and will definitely shop here again.

Matter resolved

Edit: I got contacted by the director of the company. He was very helpful with the matter and it is now resolved. He assured me this will not happen again. I am happy with the solution provided.

This was the first and last time ordering here. Placed an order for climbing shoes that were not available in the Netherlands.

Ordered 3 sizes. Paid upfront.
The sizes were all wrong. They used UK sizing and didn't state it anywhere on the website at the time. Great.

Contacted support and we agreed to return them and they would refund me. Customer support would mail after weeks with me having to send 3 reminders before actually saying anything.

I did that and they refunded me the shoes and offered me a 10% discount code and to pay back my shipping cost for the trouble. Placed the order again and got the new shoes in the correct sizes.

When I returned the 2 pairs that didn't fit, they subtracted the discount again so I only got a partial refund. They also didn't refund my shipping as promised.

It's been 5 months and best of all they just don't respond to my emails anymore. They are ghosting me.

Fast delivery, active support with some flaws

The product ordered was received in-time. The packaging can be improved but the product within was not sensible, so it was okay. After a year of use a guarantee case emerged. I opened a guarantee case at the manufacturers website. They confirmed the case and offered replacement, but stated that the preferred way is to send it to the retailer (VerticalExtreme) who they will communicate with and resolve the issue. I send a guarantee case / replacement request to VerticalExtreme. The support reacted qutie fast. I also provided the chatlog with the manufacturer, who stated that the item can be replaced. The case was accepted and I was asked to wait 4-6 weeks for a response. 8 Weeks passes, so I initiated a conversation with VerticalExtreme about the case. They answered in an acceptable time, but what wasn't acceptable is that they just send me back the money I have paid for the product stating that the manufacturer decided to go that path. I have to mention though that VerticalExtreme communicated that they didn't receive the money yet. However, they mustn't simply decide to revert the purchase contract and send me the money back, the guarantee as per law and what the manufacturer states encompasses a repair or replacement, not a reversal of the purchase contract. They event transferred the money to a bank account that doesn't exist anymore. All of this is not a huge problem, but just acting without asking the consumer for his consent, although it was clear that it was against the law, was just not right.
Because the delivered fast and as promised and because the support was engaged, I give a 4/5 rating. However, the final case was not resolved to my satisfaction, they did not replace the product.
