They won the bud on my van on the motorway auction site took them over 2 weeks to come out & pissing around & then decided things like the tyres which were shown in a close up picture were a little low the v5 showed it was 3 years old in 6 weeks time All that were shown on the auction site before they bid
They decided they didn’t want it plus they said oooo it’s had signage stickers on which most commercial vehicles do have it probably needs painting now (just a good power polish would sort it out) so completely wasted my time & are looking for second hand low mileage vans which are as good as brand new
As when they left the factory
So if they ever bid on your vehicle decline the offer

Terrible experience

Terrible experience , after confirming vehicle reservation deposit was refundable and making it clear I was looking at 2 vans , they have tried to keep the deposit. Avoid at all costs.

I purchased two vans from this company

I purchased two vans from this company, They delivered these two vans and all was well until i received two dart charge penalty notices. I specifically asked the delivery drivers at the time when they delivered if they had paid the dart charge as they had to come over the bridge, they assured me they had. I have now advised Vanstar of this only to be told that their accounts department will deal with it, they have not done anything and i am now being pursued further with increased charges for the unpaid dart charge. As a side issue, i also asked where they keys were and they said in each vehicle, they subsequently left and took the keys to one of the vans with them as they were not in that vehicle.

Poor communication...

We saw a van online which looked fab. We had arranged our own finance through broker. Arranged for van to be delivered. We was told we would recieve some docs via email following day after payin deposit. Not sure what docs , but never recieved any further communication from them. Delivery driver explained stuff to us, which he said should have been explained to us pre delivery. There were couple of discrepancies with the spec of the van, no power folding wing mirrors, colour & diff wheel trims diff to online photo. Also has to chase up log book as it hadnt been updated , ended up doin it myself..glad i did has it came up with a saftey alert recall from vauxhaul. Overall we like the van, but disappointed with sales guy garry, lack of communication and non exsistent aftersales!

Avoid this company on motorway

Avoid this company if they buy your vehicle on motorway. They put the highest bid on my vehicle and then sent an ‘independent’ assessor who came and made up any fault he could. He was forceful, aggressive and rude, he said my vehicle was no good and no one else would want it so I should accept their offer of over £4000 less. All he wanted to do was slate my vehicle which was in the exact condition which was described. I then told motorway and the garage cancelled their purchase, claiming there was all these ‘problems’ with it. I now cannot sell on motorway unless I show an invoice correcting the problems, which will be hard to do when they don’t exist. I am now going to struggle to relist the vehicle simply because this garage wanted to find ‘faults’ to get it cheap. If this garage is the highest bidder on your vehicle I would advise you pull out of the sale immediately before they make it very difficult for you to relist.

Be careful with these chancers if they try to buy your van through motorway. They will try to make non existent damage and issues up. Then hope you are naive enough to take a ridiculously low counter offer, and i mean ridiculous.

Rude, slow and flaky.

This company tried to buy my car on Motorway and from that point on things went downhill. Firstly they wanted me to pay them the difference vs. my car finance before they'd even collected the car, then they said they wouldn't pay me on collection but instead take the car and then pay me later that day. I was very worried about this but Motorway reassured me that the company had been vetted so I decided to trust the process. Finally, they didn't schedule anyone to collect the car until the following week, leaving me hanging and unable to sort out the purchase of my replacement car.

When they came to collect the car the gentleman was extremely rude to me. He basically said upon seeing the car, it was clear I didn't know anything about selling cars and it was the problem with these 'online sales'. I should stress this is the 4th car I've sold 'online' and I've never had a problem.

To prove his point he marched me around the car pointing out lots of 'problems', even ones that had been openly stated on the original sale, for example, a scratch on the side and that it needed a service. He did spot one thing that I had missed but the others were completely ridiculous - one supposed scratch was just some dirt, which I wiped off with my finger, another was the tyre tread, which we tested and is in legal requirements.

This all resulted in them leaving without purchasing the car and me feeling like the rug had been pulled out from under my feet. The garage has not contacted me once, nor have they sent their findings to Motorway so I can review it with them.

Bypass this company when looking for a van…

Great company when selling you a van salesman James Eastwood. promises you everything until you have paid for it.
found out the van had been chipped on the speed limiter max 69mph.after weeks of trying to operate the settings. No good for traveling to continent compete in fishing competitions.12 phone calls 4 visits Jame and Vanstar (not one call back) promises promises , finally James10 agreed to have a auto electrician remove the speed limiter. took the van down to their Wakefield depot. James drove the van round to the electrician and came back and told me the electrician is just doing a van and my van was next. I walked round the back the van was still parked up were James left it some 40 min ago , personally i don't think anything was even done . James then comes and tells me he cannot do it, it would need to go to a Vauxhall main dealer were they had a account with Evans Halshaw Wakefield. and they would have to book it in. so i said book it in then you new about the issue but never told me at point of sale. this was a modification to the standard manufacturers specification.
but the truth is their not interested in customer service , just grab the money that's all they want.they just fob you off thinking you will go away i would not recommend anyone to deal with this company if looking for a a used reasonably new van.
its interesting to see what you dashcam shows when its left on they don't lie.
