Purchased a solar tunnel blind. Item takes a while to be delivered (this is explained on the website but still irritating) cost of the product is just shy of £120 and yet it does not come with a frame so you have to by additional materials to build the frame work, which to me is horrendous considering I can buy much bigger blinds for regular windows that come with everything you need for £30, however again this is explained on the website but it is still horrendous considering the cost of it. Building and assembly is relatively simple (no thanks to the instructions on the website as they are hopeless) The main reason for only giving it 3 stars is, the blind tends to just spring open no matter wich way you tension it as per the instructions provided, tighter or looser it doesn't matter, the thing just pings open and leaves you very frustrated. I will be modifying it with some small magnets to keep it closed when necessary, maybe vale blinds should look into a similar modification on this product to save future customers this issue. In all honesty the product is not all bad and it will function once adjustments have been made. Personally I probably would not purchase this again as I have very little patience and its just not as straight forward as it could be for the money. However someone with a passion for these sort of tasks may find it somewhat enjoyable I guess. I would value this product at £40 personally, the way it turns up with little to no instructions and only the bare minimum materials to call it a kit, I feel like its a temu product. Address the above issues though and it would definitely be worth the money and be a 5 star product as the quality is good on the blind its self, just the above issues as mentioned
Very disappointed with my purchase (of £90) for Velux blind.
I had got the impression that it would be easy to fit, and just click in to place.
In practice its a total nightmare, impossible to screw lower brackets in to a substantial wooden window frame. This is not fit for purpose.
Order 113931. I brought some Dakstra black out blind, at the checkout, I was told 7 to 20 days delivery, but I was impressed I got them 3 days later, but I wasnt told they were coming, I popped home from work to pick something up they courier came. But apart from that, blinds look ok.
I was looking for blinds for 3 new velux windows and shopped around a bit. I'm so glad I did! The ordering system was clear and easy, price was very competitive and delivery time super fast! Installation was incredibly easy. All in all a brilliant service from beginning to end.
I wanted to order two blinds for my loft skylight windows. I have not ordered anything like this before, while searching i came across Vale Blinds, price looked competitive and product looked good. But I had a couple of questions and queries so sent an Email and received a very prompt and helpful reply from Sharon, I also then sent a further Email with another question and again duly received a reply, before I placed my order which promptly arrived with a few days, well packaged and I have just installed them to the satisfaction of my young daughter who I assume will now get out of bed even later. The customer service from this company has been excellent. Debra responded to all my emails super quick. Initially she helped me identify what roof window I had by looking at my photos, as I had no clue!
Unfortunately I ran into a problem with fitting the blind. I had fitted one of the sides slightly out of place, so when I couldn’t click the next part into place I became a bit heavy handed trying to click it in, but it then snapped!! I emailed Vale Blinds saying I’d accidentally broken it and they quickly contacted the manufacturer to help rectify the problem. The new part was sent out the next day. I was so relieved with this support knowing I had been too heavy handed with it! I’m now very happy with my solar powered blinds.
So it’s been a great service, they go above and beyond to make sure you get the blinds you need.

We purchased 3 genuine velux blinds 2 or 3 months ago from Vale. There was a few weeks delay before our usual fitter was available and when he came the fitter noticed we had made a mistake with the order.It was totally our fault and we were feeling pretty upset and concerned about it.
I notified Vale of the issue immediately and Sharon talked me through the process to get things back on track.
She kept us informed throughout and now we are about to have the correct ones fitted.
I always feel that the best way to judge a company on their service is when things do not go quite to plan and I can honestly say that Vale Blinds and Sharon in particular have provided us with outstanding service when we most needed it and I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of making a purchase.
Bought the T04 Keylite blind. Arrived within two days and was very easy assembled and a perfect fit. My only criticism would be that getting it in white was not an option.
I have used Vale Blinds on a couple of occasions but both times for decent sized projects. They do a very good generic version of a VELUX blind of which I have purchased several.
I have also purchased "Click" blinds which I have had less joy with. The design and look is lovely but I had issue with the blind sliding down from the top by 10-15cms. Upon checking with Sharon at Vale she told me how to tighten and adjust them. This was OK for a period but the cord snapped on the 3rd adjustment. Sharon has been very quick to respond and has ordered me a full replacement as the product is within it's 1 year guarantee. As I write I am waiting for the replacement which should be a few days. The other click blind is great with no issues. Excellent customer service makes things so much easier even when things go wrong.
I would give zero if I could. Purchased some honeycomb blinds from this company for our long and narrow windows and spent hundreds of pounds. Unfortunately after just over a year, the cords to open and close the blinds snapped. I complained to the company and they completely fobbed me off saying I would have to pay for the repair because the guarantee period had passed. What they failed to understand was that the product was clearly not of satisfactory quality if it only lasted just over a year and given that I had not caused any damage to it (by simply opening and closing the blind), I didn't see why I should have to pay for it. I will be sticking with Blinds 2 go, never had an issue with them. Avoid this company at all costs, sub standard quality of products and even worse customer service.

Ordered a blind to replace the other blind from the one I got brackets for from Vale blinds. Advised it would be later in January 2024 due to my ordering it just before Christmas. Not a problem.
Surprisingly, it arrived just after New Year. Great blind and price was a lot less than expected, as bought other blind from Velux direct and was a lot more.
Now installed and very happy with the new blind. Project completed and cannot say how pleased I am with the product and price. Won’t go anywhere else but Vale for my blind requirements.

I had a quote from Hillarys blinds and wasn't impressed with the sales person. Found BV blinds and Bernard came out to measure up. Much more competent. Put an order in for two automated blinds, paid 50% up front. Waiting time of 4 weeks (I think it took 3) Arrived bang on time stated to fit them in 2 hours. Good service all round.
This is about order nr. 88758 from 8th of June 2023.
The roof blind arrived in time, but I wasn't able to mount it for weeks for lack of directions. The instructions provided are useless. They don't lay out the process, offering only hints and suggestions, confusing and incomprehensible as they are. Disassembling the product from its packed-up state was already a frustrating guesswork, and things only got worse from there. My several messages to the customer service — containing only one question, so as not to overwhelm them upfront — remained unanswered. It was only after I published a review here on Trustpilot that they contacted me. A verbose lady, who was not able to answer technical questions, was insisting that they did answer my inquiries, and there must be some technical problem on my side — effectively putting me in the position of vague guilt. For one thing, their messages have never turned up in my inbox, including my spam or trash folders. Whereas their acknowledgement of my order had no issue with my email. Which I find peculiar. Long story short: I gave up on the "customer service" and went into a long process of trial and error on my own, and that is how I managed to install the blind. As much as I find that rather satisfying now, I have no praise for this company, sorry. - - - P.S., re the company's answer. Again, the blame about "my problem" with the email, as groundless as it goes. All I can say about this matter is that this has been the first time in the fifteen years, since I'm using Gmail, that I haven't received something supposedly sent to me. As to why I gave up on our phone conversations: because it was of no practical help. When you are standing there with a product whose mechanics are a complete mystery to you, and it would take all-round preliminary studies in blindology just to ask the right questions, while on the other side there is someone who clearly has no technical competence, and has to ask a third person about it all, well, that is not what I call a workable situation. It is an awkward situation, where you as a company expect me, the customer, to be organized, knowledgeable and focused on all the things you should tell me about without me even asking. And I find it so revealing that up to this moment you have had nothing to say about the issue of the incomprehensible instructions, also mentioned by another reviewer, but fallen to deaf ears. I could go on about the ways your "support" has proven useless to me. Starting from the revelation, on the phone, that I was supposed to drill metal in my home to complete the project — because you don't care to put that particular info in plain sight when one orders the side profiles —, to the total hush about the method of fastening up one module of the blind while the other hangs from it by sensitive wires — which go through the even more sensitive folded material — without damaging the whole functional structure, and all of this to be achieved, of course, with two hands only. But I will stop here.

Sharon at Vale Blinds was extremely helpful in identifying them from photos and giving me instructions to confirm the exact models. Instructions to install are pictorial and very clear and everything is supplied to fit without having to open your own tool box! I needed to purchase 2 blinds for my Dakea windows, so rang Vale Blinds for advice regarding the different makes. Sharon was really helpful, friendly and gave me advice so that I could make an informed decision. I ordered custom sides blinds with a two-week turnaround on Monday, 20 March (I wrote a note on my order to see if they could be ready before I went on holiday). Sharon emailed me back to let me know that she would keep an eye on my order and give me updates and on Tuesday, mailed me to let me know they would be with me on Thursday.
