Rude and Deceitful

Rude, deceitful billing practice. On the very first bill, less than 30 from the actual care. I was threatened with collection and attorney's fees. I had never received any prior statement or any type of billing at all.

Corporations like USMD are a disgrace to the medical profession. I hope doctors are ashamed to be part of this sleazy comany. May this company fail in the New Year

Worst health care ever

Worst health care ever. It's been going on 2 yrs my daughter has been trying to get in and get a hysterectomy She is 37 and has had endometriosis since she was 18...she has blood cancer and Cervical Cancer. OB did a leep procedure.....said she got it all. But my daughter kept telling her something wasn't right then she was told she would do hysterectomy was getting all set up called the office and was told the Dr doesn't work there anymore So her she had to start all the test and jump through hoops all over again. And she had to go to oncologist who everything took for ever did bone marrow procedure. No cancer. But my daughter kept having issues her platelets were way of the chart. the Dr just didn't listen. Finally the sent her to Dallas to Reg Dr sent her to different obgyn she had her go to New oncologist and it turns out there was a test the other oncologist didn't run. Turns out she has Blood cancer. Then other obgy did another Leeper procedure and the Cervical Cancer is back. She has been try to get a hysterectomy for almost 2 yrs This is the WORST MEDICAL CARE I HAVE SEEN IN MY 68 YRS.

UPDATED: BEWARE!! - ONE OF THE WORST FRONT DESK PEOPLE.

UPDATED: BEWARE!! - ONE OF THE WORST FRONT DESK PEOPLE.
I have gone in to draw my blood and urine for my annuals. There were two front desk ladies and one of them checked me in. At least that's what I've been told. After about 30 minutes, I've told the receptionist to check to see if they have forgotten me. This time, the other front desk lady told me, "Oh I've sent them a message" After about 45 minutes of waiting and lost all my patience, reached out again and told them, if they could pick up a phone and talk to them to find out what's going on. Their response was "I will send them a text again.... Besides, I did not check you in" loosing all my patience at that point, I told them I've been fasting for more than 12 hours, between the two front desk ladies, there is a moment of silence as who's going to move their feet to go see what's wrong with the lab... btw.. the lab is 25 feet from the front desk.. Apparently a long walk for them.

it gets interesting, once I finally in the lab for the blood work. the nurse in the lab said, oh.. no one scheduled you to me so I do not know what happened. UNBELIEVABLE... top of it, when I asked the bottle for urine sample, she was like oh... no one put in an order for urine sample..... how great it is..

Go to a place where people care about their work at the minimum if not for you.. this is not the USMD that I know....
btw... I've logged a complaint calling corporate office. let's see even if they would call me back... no complaint number was shared... no copy was sent to email... nothing... absolutely nothing. you are at the mercy of them..

This story just gets more and more ugly. The corporate office did called me to apologize for what has happened. So last Friday was my appointment with the doctor. The doctor was on vacation and has not come back to the office.
1. No one has called me to inform that I cannot see the doctor.
2. Since I was there, I thought of getting my urine sample done which was not done earlier at least there is some use of me making a trip to doctor's office. Following monday I am getting a voice mail stating, they lost my urine sample and would want me to come there to give the sample again......

Scheduling issues

I loved having Dr. Walker as my Physician, I love having Dr. Jones as my current PCP. The staff is fantastic they work well with me. HOWEVER, after that the scheduling system is terrible. In 3 years I have scheduled many appointments. 4 occasions issues with the scheduling. 2X with Dr Walker I was scheduled to see him on his day off. (Sorry you are scheduled for tomorrow) 1X with Megan (sorry today is her day off we do not see you scheduled for an appointment at all.) Today I had an appointment for blood work 7:30 am (The time on my card they gave me, sorry you are scheduled for 3:00 pm today.) PLEASE train the staff to provide the correct information to the patients, our time is valuable just like yours. Each of the visits were on my cards provided to me from the front desk, I did not get the dates and times incorrect.

USMD billing is the worst

USMD billing is the worst, when my OBGYN was moved to USMD to Texas Health I was told all the money I had already paid is still with USMD. Trying to get anyone from USMD Billing to call you back for a refund is extremely stressful. I guess they are okay with stressing out pregnant women, i am not the first patient they have screwed over. I wouldn't trust this company at all, it seems they only care about stealing money from hard working Americans.

USMD cannot be trusted

USMD cannot be trusted to manage your care. My USMD physician is a good doctor but the administrative services for the practice are awful. I was scheduled for surgery and the clinic failed to forward medical records to the surgeon. USMD sat on the request for months. My surgery had to be rescheduled and when I complained USMD’s head of clinic called and nothing in her words or tone conveyed the least bit of remorse or concern over the lapse and what it meant to me. I do not recommend USMD.

The office at Plano 15th street is a disgrace. They have a few good doctors but the administrative part is not working, the computers are constantly freezing, telephones are not working and yesterday Friday they could not execute an important refill! This is unheard of! So what is wrong with the Manager Doctor at USMD 15th street?!

Most likely the worst provider on the…

Most likely the worst provider on the market today. I have been unable to get anyone on the phone, email and even retune my call. I want all my patent records and all my personal data scrubbed from your systems.

It is now gone on two years that you refuse to make an appointment to see my primary physician, even after coming to the office and being assured my appointment where in fact set.

You are rude and have no empathy and should be in charge of personal medical records for anyone..

The new online portal is not user…

The new online portal is not user friendly. The Dr's and their assistance are not getting my email and trying to do anything on the portal is a lesson in frustration. The call center is really bad. They don't care or tell me my Dr doesn't have appointments until June when that is never the case. Please go back to where clinic's answer is own phone and back to the old portal.

Forbidden from speaking to me

A new PA started working at the Clear Fork office. I had used this PA in the past and wanted to follow him to USMD. I couldn't make an appointment and couldn't get my calls returned. The PA's supervising physician forbid it. I would have to be a patient of the physician and he would decide when and if I could see the PA I've used for quite a while. I will never use USMD.

Horrible for moms with kids

I will start by saying, the doctors here are great, everything beyond that needs work. If you are looking for a family-friendly (or even friendly) office, this is not the place to be. First of all, rescheduling an ultrasound takes days to hear back, as does any other phone request. Second, the majority of people answering the phone don’t really listen to you, they just want to get you off the phone as fast as possible. I do not feel like they care about mine or my baby’s overall well-being. I just moved here from out of state, and I do not have any friends and family here. My husband is the sole provider and therefore has to work. I have two other kids to take care of, and rather than allowing me to bring my kids to the appointments, they just make me cancel. How are they going to know if me and my baby are healthy if they force me to cancel the appointments? I also asked if they could give my husband FMLA so that he can take off work during my appointments and help me when I am nauseous. They would not do that for me either. If you are a mom with more than one child, a single mother, or have a husband that needs to go to work, I would not recommend USMD. Doctors should be the one’s that care about your health the most. I would expect a women’s health doctor to understand the stresses of being a mom and make accommodations to ensure their patients are receiving the healthcare they need.

Usmd is the lousiest provider

Usmd is the lousiest provider. I was seeing my doctor once a year for more than 2 decades. For regular annual physicals.USMD takes over my doctors practice. And suddenly I have to start coming every 6 months. Otherwise they won’t refill my prescriptions. Such a scam. And now they always send in a PA. I haven’t seen my doctor for over a year now. USMD is only in the business for the money. Stay away. Stay far away.

The patient portal change has shut down…

The patient portal change has shut down all communication with their offices. This very unprofessional. Leaving VM asking for a response is not working. I need to download my communications history from the old portal, but it has disappeared, and we are told that it would be kept available until Nov 24.

USMD Hulen - Refills & Patient Portal

So many issues, where to begin? Saw the Dr 11/07/22 - you'd think SOMEONE would have mentioned the changes to the patient portal, but NO. Now I cannot sign in and have to call the office when they open. Been working on a refill of medicine for two weeks now and still it hasn't been filled. Updated pharmacy info in the portal several months ago, but when I call the office they say it's not been updated. Have requested refills thru the (old) patient portal, called the office and left messages for the dr's nurse, spoken directly to a live person, all to no avail. I am now OUT of medicine. Saw the dr yesterday, the nurse said she would update the pharmacy info. I told both nurse and Dr that I had one pill left and needed a refill ASAP. I suspect they called it into the old pharmacy which I no longer use. So very frustrating!!! Now I find out there's a NEW patient portal but I have to contact their office so they can send me a code to sign in with. AGAIN, you'd think someone would have mentioned this while I was there yesterday! Are they trying to drive up patient's blood pressure, hoping they'll have a stroke or something to generate more money??????

Basically advised me to transmit COVID

I almost never put a company on blast, but this organization deserves it! I see now why their ratings are low!
I got married last year, so my health insurance has changed. I do not have a primary care physician in the area through my new insurance as I haven’t needed one.
I have COVID, and the most highly contagious form of it yet. I have zero business leaving my house!
I spent all morning on the phone, twice getting disconnected from people who never bothered to call me back. Initially, I was told I could be seen for a telemedicine appointment. It was a comedy of errors along the way — preventable errors, if people had been better trained. I’ll spare you the minute details.
In the end, I was told the official policy is that their practice NEVER sees a new patient by telemedicine. I would have to wait until I am over COVID and then go in. When I explained the obvious reason why that wasn’t a solution, she said I could go to an urgent care center. When I explained why that was highly irresponsible as I am highly contagious, she said it was a “personal choice.”
I want an antiviral. I need a prescription. Other times, with other systems, I’ve seen a doctor through telemedicine whom I hadn’t seen in person (nor any doctors in that same practice) and been given a prescription (in that case for an antibiotic). IT IS NOT ILLEGAL.
I have wasted my whole morning with this disjointed, illogical organization! On and off of so many calls, so much time on hold! Now, on top of being physically uncomfortable, I’m 31 flavors of pissed off!!!! How does this make sense in 2022?? I can tell them anything they need to know over a call. I’d understand this policy if I were seeking narcotics, but I am NOT!😡😡😡😡

I have been going to their Las Colinas…

I have been going to their Las Colinas location for several years but it has gone downhill the past few years. That's because their support staff is highly incompetent. Most have the comprehension skills of an 8th grader. There is only one Dr. there I go to see (he's a Rheumatologist) but my GP was not so good. The nurses (staff assistants) constantly mess up the paperwork by not inserting the right order or spelling of the patient name, or fail to answer messages in a timely fashion. They have no concept on how to address a married patient name. Instead of calling me "Mrs." they constantly call me "Miss" and my first name. (I think that's an outdated southern thang) ALL OF THEM DO THAT. It's so disrespectful. I could go on and on about how horrible the support staff are in their basic job tasks, but just save yourself the time and go elsewhere.
