Affordable, and good place if you are buying phones
I rate it a 9/10. Packaging is nice, and they send you a video of them packaging it, not sure if that’s a recent thing but it makes me feel nice to know I can see how they pack it aswell cleaning it to make sure it is in nice shape. Prices are reasonable and nice, not all but can say at least 65%. Overall really good and doesn’t seem to be buggy for now.
Questionable grading and difficult returns
UpTrade has questionable grading and difficult processes for returning bad products. I recommend going elsewhere. I ordered a phone that was purported to be in 'Very Good' condition. When I got it, it was significantly chipped on the corner. I took it to AT&T and they said that was a damaged phone and would not pass the test in terms of normal wear and tear - much less be in 'very good' condition. After searching around on how to return the phone, I printed the 'ship back for free' label and sent it in. The US Post Office sent it back to me saying there was insufficient postage - sneaky on Uptrade's part. I took it to the post office in the exact same packing it came in and had them weigh it and they told me the printed label was 75 cents short of the postage needed. After all that, I was finally able to send it in. I will give credit to UpTrade for processing the return fairly quickly but way too much hassle to get to that part. Given the shifty practices of grade inflation and not including enough postage in their 'free returns', I would suggest purchasing a used phone elsewhere.

Poor service
Poor service - this was my first time purchasing from this company. I chose a standard shipping as my preferred shipping option. The shipping method was offered at 7 business days. I placed the order Thursdays night and it is now Thursday of next week and I have not received a tracking number or cancellation email. Not even a notification via phone. Today i took the initiative to contact customer service regarding my order. Their response was " we contacted you via phone regarding your order"...well...ok...did you leave a message? They further placed blame on me saying I didn't respond back to them so they didn't ship it out....how am I suppose to responded if there is no voicemail or email left or sent to me???? In any case I'm pretty sure the phone I purchased wasn't available or they forgot to ship my order and they needed to justify why it was the customers fault and not theirs. As a new customer, this leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I would recommend that you stay away from sellers like these. Seems like their motto is "the customer is always wrong". In my experience, dealing with companies like these during issues such as warranties or exchanges will always be a hassle and not willing to go the extra mile for the customer.
Very slow and either crooks or inept.

I replied I sent a fully functioning phone. 1/15 they replied phone had keyboard ghosting. I said return. 1/25 they said return OTW. Received 1/31. Phone functioning fine. I, nor several other people, can see any ghosting with screen off or on. Added: This is in reference to Uptrade USA.
Too many mistakes, too many delays
I'd like to leave this company a positive review, but there's just been too many mistakes and delays on their end.
Shipped them two pristine iphone 7s (one 32GB one 128GB). Uptrade received them, inspected them, confirmed they were perfect -- but somehow mismatched the two phones (marked the 32 as 128 and the 128 as 32) and offered a lower price. I brought the error to their attention, and they fixed it 5 days later -- restored their original price. Now 14+ days after approval (and 3+ weeks after they received the phones), I'm still waiting on my payment, with no further communication from Uptrade.
Consider looking elsewhere unless you have a lot of patience, and are willing to be very, very persistent. They won't answer their phones due to COVID, and email response will be slow. My hope is that I'll get my payment one of these days...

I bought two phones and had to return a phone after Metro PCS told my daughter the phone was broken then sold her a down grade for more money. I believe they ripped her off and then would not let her return the phone they sold her. So unfortunately I had to return the phone from UpTrade the returned it no questions asked and got my money back. Great company!

Bait and Switch on pricing of trade in do not use these petty scammers. I turned in a flawless brand new out the box Iphone XS Max and they originally offer $550 and switched to $150 once they got it in.

Phone arrived in Greece NOT working. And this for a "prinstine model" Ha Ha Ha.
It would not charge or switch on completely. I had somebody check it and they said that it required a new charging spare part. I decided to send it back to the retailer who refused to fix it on the grounds that it had been tampered with.
Yes, it HAD, so that I would not have had to go through the rigmarole of sending back to UK from Greece. "Tampered with": - my big hairy behind - it is just an excuse by the retailer to not accept responsibility for poor service.
Perhaps if the phone had been checked before posting to Greece none of this would have happened.

I bought an A1 class Iphone 5s 64mb from Uptrade. Initially all was good and then the phone began to play up. I contacted Uptrade and they asked me to return the phone under the guarantee.
The first thing I’d say is the level of communication is excellent, I received regular updates on the diagnostics and eventually the sourcing of the replacement phone. Secondly there was never a moment when I felt uncomfortable and I knew I would either get the phone repaired or replaced. I would soundly recommend Uptrade, and I’m pleased at the price I paid to get a very high spec phone (the original phone and replacement were both in mint condition as stated in the online advert) and covered by a full years no quibble guarantee.

I smashed the screen of my phone and was distraught as the warranty doesnt cover this. However the Company were quick to put this right by offering to repair it at a very good price indeed. Really can't complain about the treatment I got.
