The repair was done quickly after the report was made. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If there was noise in the yard at night, the staff would come and deal with it quickly.

It took ten days to get our oven/stove fixed, which meant we had to spend more money on microwaveable foods/take away, AND all food we had previously bought went mouldy. We complained multiple times, and only one, lovely member of staff was willing to help. I don't know her name, but she is blonde and young. She's amazing!

My roommate and I only have cold water in our toilet, which we reported to repair at the very beginning. Now, after a month, no one has come to repair it, so my roommate and I can only go to other places to take a bath.

Lift is broken and has been for three days meaning my unwell flatmate can’t get downstairs.
My toilet has broken twice due to poorly attached hinges on the seats. Batteries were not replaced in our door locks prior to us moving in which meant we were locked out of our room for a short while. (Not that big a deal).
Apart from that it has been pretty good!

Rooms are very warm though due to safety window locks. Can’t imagine summers here

Unlike other accommodations, nothing is provided here. Why do students have to buy a kettle for example? I am quite sure that previous year’s students left theirs, yet nothing exists. I assume the employees take them. If so, I don’t find it ethical. Others left theirs for the next generation, not for employees.
When my friends in other accommodations invited me to their places, such as Crown or Senghennydd Court, even toaster was provided. Also, they have nice social places including gym, 8 pool, board hockey etc. This place feels so old.
I wish I lived in a different accommodation.

The kitchen light is always turned off in the presence of people, I suggest that you can keep the kitchen light on during the peak cooking time, and then judge whether to automatically turn off the light after 9 o 'clock every night according to whether there are people.

I live in Kyle Park House in Glasgow. When we arrived, the toaster, the lights, the oven, the vaccuum, and the sink were not working or dysfunctional we filed requests that were not fulfilled until over a month later- some still have not been fixed. Staff always seem stressed out. They say there will be weekly fire alarms at 11pm on Tuesdays which is after we’ve gone to bed. The cinema room they advertise does not work or play any movies. The “bike room” they advertise is just a bike rack outside. A bit of a joke to be honest. Definitely not cheap either.
