Thank you Ummah Catering

I just wanted to extend my deepest thanks for the truly exceptional service Ummah Catering (Khaled and his team) provided for a wedding event.
The food was absolutely sumptuous - the guests are still talking about it today!
Khaled didn’t just meet the brief, he went far beyond it, creating an experience that was both delicious and beautifully presented.

Khaled’s calm, patient presence throughout the entire process was a breath of fresh air, and even the venue staff who he collaborated with couldn’t stop singing his praises. It’s clear that his experience and passion for the craft shined through in everything he did.

It was an absolute delight working with Ummah Catering, and I’m so grateful for the care and creativity they brought to the occasion.
Thank you again for making it so special.
I would book him again for a special event in a heartbeat.
I highly recommend Ummah Catering!

Avoid dodgy bengali cowboy company

Well it’s hard to write this, given Ummah catering were recommended by close family of my wife 🫣..
Wedding was held on 19/11/2023 @threeriversgolf.
We got both Catering and Decor from Ummah, the decor was actually good and no issues tbh. The issue was the food and service.
1) Starters did not come out appropriately I.e only 4 Kebab for a table of 10 (they did my decor plus tables etc so they knew to send out 10) what made it worse, Ummah staff told my UNCLE no refills - like wth WE AGREED to 10 people per table and I paid For more than my guest numbers!!! Laughable
2) Rushed service - didn’t even give people a chance to enjoy the starters, they served mains right away and filled up tables unnecessarily, even dumping it on my guest plates at times!!! Ridiculous
3) Indian Chilli Paneer nope, got a Chinese cheese dish instead, Ying and Yang lol tasted terrible I’m sorry
4) This hurts the most because “Jalal” who heads/runs Ummah - CLEARLY stated to me in fact reassured me “Bhaiya dw, we use baby potatoes and our saag aloo is always good” … guess what turnt up to my wedding , not your baby potatoes lol my Mother in law will personally like to have a word with you about that…I’ll translate to English from bengali the phrase goes “the potatoes are big as your dads head 👨 “ …how did you get this so wrong? I clearly asked you for this one reassurance whilst I stayed quiet and listed to the discussion with you and my Father in law/wife and Olly.

Overall, some dishes were decent such as the Meat curry, Dhaal and chicken curry. But if I’m paying for a service where the owner reassured me on things and I did not recieve, not happy overall. Waiters were new and incompetent and rude to my guest.

Just FYI - paid £10k for 300 guests (includes extra food for additional 50 guest btw) including 360 photo and pancake tables. Feel ripped off at this point…anyways hope to have a convo with Jalal soon but just thought I’d be honest with those who might be wondering about Ummah caterers.

P.s I am the groom Ummah caterers posted on their Instagram page the other day (19Nov) please see screenshot of the potato’s in that video lol baby potatoes you nah.
Also note other reviews are from fellow bengalis - so for those out there not part of family circle or friends …the previous reviews will be bus and sowed in favour given the friendship/family ties … so take those with a pinch of salt as you know those who have posted reviews , tend to have profiles with no more than 2/3 reviews in general lol so you know the deal

I got married in October and from my…

I got married in October and from my first meeting with Khaled I was overwhelmed with his level of experience and professionalism. Is a tough business to be in and they made it look easy. Was invited to tasters an was happy with the food on our big day (would give it 10 out of 10). My wife asked for specific ingredients and they implemented all an was good to see they go that extra mile to satisfy their clients. I would also note that having a caterer who can deliver on both food an decor is great as it takes allot of the stress of your shoulders. Thanks again to Khaled an all his team at Ummah Catering and I wish you guys all the best.

Regards
Yaseen
