I ended up with Bozo the clown orange hair color!
The hair dresser blamed the Redken dye product that the salon uses. I believe it was the hair dresser's lack of knowledge. Whatever the case, I ended up with orange hair. I later received a follow up phone call from the hair salon from Kaylee who tried to lie stating the dye was left on my hair for only 30 minutes. This really angered me because the dye was left for over an hour on my hair. I had to request another employee to shampoo my hair since my hair dresser left me to put make up on another client. My suggestion is that you go someplace else.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern following an unpleasant experience I had at your Ulta store #658 in Royal Oak, Michigan, a location I have frequented and favored for the past couple years
On the evening of my recent visit, I encountered a level of customer service that was, regrettably, far below the standard I have come to expect from Ulta. Upon approaching the register, I observed that the cashier, Taliyah, showed a lack of basic courtesy as the customer ahead of me completed their transaction without any greeting or acknowledgment. I myself waited several minutes before I approached the register, at which point Taliyah proceeded to ring up my items.
Throughout the transaction, Taliyah's demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional. After scanning my items, she turned sideways, making communication difficult, and asked if I wanted to sign up for an Ulta card without making proper eye contact. When I declined, she stated my total but did not inquire if I wished to use my points. Upon my request to use my points, she applied them but once again turned away while continuing to speak unclearly. As I asked for clarification again on her speaking she stated “your total “and pointed to the payment device to show me my total.I printed my receipt .Taliyah proceeded to put the receipt in the bag. At the end, when I asked for my receipt and bag, she responded dismissively without handing me the bag directly. she proceeds to tap the bag and said "it’s yours, these are your items” without passing the bag, further emphasizing her dismissiveness.
Disturbed by this conduct, I inquired about a manager. Sales Manager Gloria arrived promptly but instead of addressing my concerns professionally, she accused me of being on the phone during my visit and suggested we move to a quieter part of the store to discuss the matter. I declined and requested she write down her and the cashier’s name along with a contact number. Throughout the exchange, Gloria’s attitude was confrontational and unprofessional. I asked Gloria what was her and Taliyah title because only first names and phone number was written on the receipt . As I’m writing I asked Gloria what is Taliyah role she stated beauty advisor Taliyah also unsolicitedly offered advice despite my clear indication that I did not require it , stating “And I can advise you”. Taliyah offered unwanted advice, further escalating my frustration. The entire experience left me feeling disrespected and extremely frustrated.
Having been a loyal Ulta customer for nearly a decade, I can state unequivocally that the customer service I received that day was the worst I have encountered at any Ulta location. If this interaction reflects the standards and leadership at this store, I fear I may no longer wish to continue shopping at Ulta. As a result, I intend to return the items I purchased and withdraw from the Ulta Beauty Rewards program.
I sincerely hope that no other customers endure such treatment at this location. I would greatly appreciate it if someone from your team could contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss this matter further.

Attempted to place one order multiple times and would be told there was an issue placing the order, but not an issue charging up all my cards, taking my points, and gift card balance. Told I have to wait a week until it’s all back in my account, but didn’t have to wait a week to have all these funds taken from my account. Super scammy!! Do not purchase from them anymore!!

She helped me choose eyeshadow, mascara and even took me back to area to find LaRoche Posay. Ultra needs more MaryAnns!
full of flaws , ugly design, why bother?
Ive never ordered from Ulta because i cant get far enough through their website to even try. The function that allows you to try on make up you can’t access the colors because the pop-up window letting you know the product details is directly over the color options so you can’t choose them and the minute you touch anything immediately takes you to another screen to purchase that so you can’t get anywhere. The whole thing just has a really cheap feeling. Any of the curated sections only have two or three products there’s nothing really to explore. Everything about the design just feels cheap and half hearted. I’ve had this app on my phone for a couple of years and once in a while, I’ll get a flyer in the mail that there’s a sale so I’ll open the website and then I realized within a few minutes why I never opened that website and why I will never shop there. It’s too bad. What a waste of potential.

The customer service line sucks
I called the Ulta customer service line 4 times asking them to take a rewards account off my account as I already had one with $189.00 on it. The new account wouldn’t let me access my original one for online purchases because of the other account. I have no idea who signed me up for another account. Each time I called they said they’d fix it. Nothing happened. As the store could get to my original rewards account, I decided to go and use up all of my points. I was in the store for 45 minutes and nobody came up to me asking if I needed help. At the counter the checkout girl had to ask the manager to okay the rewards purchase. The manager did not acknowledge me at all. I look forward to shopping at Sephora now.
Let’s FAKE reviews of product. And I mean “A LOT”
I’m tired of seeing “FAKE” reviews! They allow tons of them. When I try to leave a legitimate and honest negative reviews, they will not post but a few of them. Here’s an example of over 100 fake reviews in one product! Then title is ALL the same and authors say “undisclosed”.

no acccess to app on iPhone
First off, I appreciate Ulta for its many online promotions and reward point system - these are better than what you get at Sephora. That said, I'm currently very unhappy with the company because they took away my access to their app! The standard practice is to support operating systems at least three versions back; however, now the Ulta app is only available to iPhone users with iOS 17 or higher! For reference, the latest version is iOS 18. My phone has the 16 version and so unless I buy a new device, I am excluded from using the Ulta app and all the advantages using the app entails. I now can only use the ULTA.com website, which is an absolute nightmare to navigate via phone. I might note that I have no issues using the Sephora app. In short, Ulta does not seem to provide its technology department with sufficient resources and/or proper management to support customers who don't throw away their perfectly functional phones for the latest model. I've contacted Ulta's customer support about this issue a couple of weeks ago, but in response I just got the acknowledgement that indeed I can no longer use the app. and a platitude about appreciating my feedback; the exclusion remains in place. I'm among many who are frustrated with this state of things as recent feedback on the app in the Apple App Store makes clear.
Delivery issues
Delivery issues. I placed an order online that I needed by a certain day. When I placed the order the website said it would be delivered the day before I need it. I just received the shipping notification, and it says it won't be delivered until next week. I called to cancel the order. Although my order hasn't shipped yet, they say they can't cancel the order. I have to accept delivery, return it and then wait for a refund. I wouldn't have placed the order it they were accurate (honest) about the delivery date.
Don’t get baited by their rewards/coupons!
You will not catch me ordering from Ulta ever again in my life. There’s some theft going on with their return warehouse. They had the audacity to claim they didn’t receive some items when I returned my entire order, after packaging my order like trash btw. Only return in store if u decide to waste ur money with their cheap coupons. Sephora is way better in terms of service.
Fake Coupons that don't exist
I was told when I sign up for their rewards, that I would get$5.00 off of my first purchase for signing up, and that wasn't true, it states on their website, when you spend$40.00,it stated specifically at the end of my order, and the $10.00 coupon wasn't deducted, I tried to cancel immediately, and Ulta Beauty ignored my cancelation, and processed the order anyway, It will be returned.for false advertisement, and sending me the wrong items that I didn't order, Ulta Beauty also states about a August Pickup at store, and they don't have the items in the store, this is deceitful, this is a deceitful bad business, and I can't believe anything that they say, I don't know whether their products are safe to use, because they are such deceitful, dishonest liars, they claim their products are ecotools and 100 percent natural.I don't know what is true about this business, they have proven that they are deceitful and dishonest.
