Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 176 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the payment process, often feeling that charges were unfair or excessive. They frequently encountered issues with the pricing, describing fines as excessive and noting additional, unexpected fees. Reviewers also found the staff unhelpful, particularly when dealing with appeals and customer inquiries. The location of parking signs was often unclear, leading to fines for parking in restricted areas or bays not clearly marked for specific users. Additionally, many people reported that their claims and appeals were denied without proper consideration, even when evidence was provided, and some received strongly worded letters despite having paid or having strong cases.

UK Parking Control Ltd (UKPC) is one of…

UK Parking Control Ltd (UKPC) is one of the most complained-about parking companies in the country — over 1,000 negative reviews online says it all. The way this business treats ordinary people is a disgrace. Hidden signs, unfair tickets, and automated rejection letters are the norm. They make it almost impossible to contact a real person or get a fair review of any so-called “offence.”

The directors behind this outfit — Benedict Michael Cooke and Kenan Thomas Erkul — should be utterly ashamed of how this company operates. When a business racks up over a thousand bad reviews, that’s not a coincidence, it’s a pattern. Shame on them for allowing this to continue.

UK Parking Control Ltd gives a bad name to the entire parking industry. If you see their name anywhere, take photos, document everything, and prepare for a battle — because fairness clearly isn’t part of their business model.

They don’t even read your emails

I got a 4 hour ticket as I do once a week for me and my sister to shop so we don’t have to panic if gone over 2 hours, I don’t know what happened to the ticket I think it fell on the floor when I have shut the door but after seeing the evidence pics I knew I would have to pay the 60 quid, but the fine was posted late so it was over the 14 days so they now want 100 which I am not willing to pay, trying to sort it is like wading through mud, you can’t talk on the phone you can’t reply to emails so I will see them in court as it’s not my fault the mail was late, they are really getting on my nerves.

Why so many daylight robbers in this land? TV license, SIMARC and UKPC. Had to help my brother with a broke down car in a parking lot at night. Couple of days later for PCN. Appeal but rejected. They don't care.

Dont take ill in a UKPC car park. They are a JOKE.

UKPC are an absolute joke of a company. They steal money from you, and do not give a shit about it.
I drove through the night, from Glasgow to Kings Lynn in Norfolk, to collect my new car. I arrived in Kings Lynn at 4.15am., which was a lot earlier than I planned, so I nipped into a local McDonalds for a meal and a hot drink. Unfortunately, as I returned to my car with my food, I started to feel unwell, and had to rush back into McDonalds to quickly use their toilet facilities. I was getting worse by the minute, and it took me some time to get myself back outside for some fresh air. Im a retired man, and my health has been getting unpredictable, and although the large car park was almost empty, (about 5 cars), I was rather embarrassed as I had to again rush back into the toilets. Eventually, after another long spell in the gents, I managed to return to my car. I was still very unwell, and sat for a while with my door open, to get as much fresh air into my lungs as possible. I decided to go back into McDonalds, for a drink, but as I stood up, I unfortunately, vomited at the side of my car, so I had to sit back down, to try and regain my composure etc. I did manage to get onto my feet, and headed into McDonalds again for the drink that I now really needed. While in there I got a handfull of napkins and bottles of water to clean up the mess I had made at the side of my car. I apologised to the manager and staff, and they honestly, couldn't have been any kinder or more helpful. After tidying up etc, I had to sit a while in my car, as my eyes were streaming, and I simply couln't drive out onto the main roads, that were now beginning to get some local traffic on them. However, when I did regain my composure, I lef the car park and continued my journey to drop off the hire car I was driving, at the local Enterprise car hire branch. I then collected my new car at the local car dealership, and eventually headed back home to Glasgow. However, a few days later, I received an email from UKPC., the clowns that regulate the times cars go in and out of the McDonalds car park, and to my amazement, had sent me a fine for £50.00., for over staying in the car park. I was absolutely shocked, as the car park was empty, as it was 4.15am., and yes, I was over the time allowed, but who was I bothering? Who couldn't get a parking space because of my car being parked there, over the allowcated time? So I emailed them back, and explained the unfortunate predicament I found myself in, due to me taking a bad turn, in the car park. But they responded quickly and NO, absolutely No way will they wave the fine, or even reduce it. They said they were sympathetic to the circumstances that I was in, but as I over stayed, even tho the car park was empty, and I was totally unwell, I have been forced by this terrible company, to pay the £50.00., fine, and they added another £1.50 admin fee, which is another bloody joke. This company UKPC should be shut down by the government as quickly as possible, and I'm going to make it my lifetime project, to do my best, and write to as many companies and governing bodies as possible, to shut this absolute daylight robbery scandal of an outfit down.

Looks like. Parking companies will be paying back delivery drivers.

Just like to say now. I have lobbying local government. For delivery drivers.
Being charged. Simply doing their job.
No matter what the signs say now.
There is now 10min.grace period for delivery drivers.
I still lobbying local government. As the i feel that parking companies are exeding the high Court ruling of clear and obvious. To charge delivery drivers.
It looks like good news. Delivery drivers can claim their money back. I am still looking into this. Lobbying local government clarification on this matter.
Thanks Lyndon.

Parked in a pup carpark to visit the establishment. Pup was shut. Waited to see if it would open as advertised. It didn’t but I did receive a parking fine. Also, they charge an admin fee for the privilege of paying.

Such a frustrating experience

Such a frustrating experience. Parked in a n area where the road markings were eroded so couldn’t see spacing. Made sure to park so not occluding any other cars/ entrances/ footpaths as per Highway Code. Got an extortionate fine with no offer of initial reduction. Appealed and had no response until the debt collection agency sent a letter 2 months later for £170 fine. Complained about lack of response to my appeal & the law states that you can’t be chased for a debt until all appeals have been determined - so told the debt collectors to back off. Still no response from either.
I also note how this company don’t make it easy for you to contact them too! Criminals.

I am currently appealing

I am currently appealing. I drove into the wrong carpark, I spent (and have proof of this) I spent 4 mins to discover i was in incorrect place. So left. The pics they used shows me leaving car park to go to my appointment next door. What concerns me is they claim they wrote to me already so i have no right to appeal. I have never had any other correspondence regarding this. This seems to be happening on all the people's reviews... I have never had any other letter. I spent under 10 mins in the car park not actually parking as car was running and then left. Awful as you cannot speak to anyone to resolve this absolute joke immediately. It's disgusting to treat people like this. How many people are conned into paying?
My parking was covered at my appointment it covers me for at least 4 hours next door. I was in the wrong unit.

I find this anti capitalist plot to…

I find this anti capitalist plot to drive customers away from mainstream retailers ( B&Q. Halfords et all) refreshing as several recipients of parking fines have indicated they will never shop at these retail parks again. It failed with myself because the terms and conditions signs were so high l had to go and buy a step ladder to read them. The Welsh language one was so dirty I had to return with a bucket and sponge to clean it to make it legible. I then offered the said items to the enforcing officer so he could offer a free car wash with each parking ticket issued with the view to taking it on as a full time occupation that would give him a greater feeling of job satisfaction.

Absolute shower of sh*t!

Absolute shower of sh*t!

Lack of empathy from these cowboys is off the chart! I actually paid for a ticket (full day) but failed to change my car reg info to my new car, genuine honest mistake, appealed the fine, but they refused the reason for the appeal. Would rather walk to work than use one of their car parks again!!
Avoid like the plague!!
