Arrogant, Unpleasant, Unsavoury, not nice people or organisation, read their website text!!! They hit the big ISP's and hurt the little people in the process. They do not have the decency or courtesy to inform domains that they have blocked their ISP email provider, you find out by chance. In the UK it is illegal to tamper with the Royal Mail, the same should apply to email, or it should be properly regulated to rid the world of this type, who are as bad as the spammers in my opinion. We all hate spam and we have never spammed and this service which apparantly charges to whitelist you are as bad, if not worse than the spammers! They even have the cheek to ask for donations. Genuine ? I dont think so.

scamming blacklist company

uceprotect.net is a scamming blacklist. It lists ranges IP addresses and their website gives no indication for why this has happened. As you can expect, you can be delisted if you pay them!! It's not possible to contact them (their contact form asks for a "Contactformcode" that is not available) and the contact page even threatens that if you ask for your incorrectly listed IP or domain name to be delisted, they will list you for even longer! This is extortion, plain and simple and is illegal. Even if you pay them (please don't!) your IP could be listed again immediately. I wish service providers would take no notice of this clearly dodgy blacklist from a clearly dodgy company.

spamlist which punishes lazy provider

Spamlist which punishes lazy providers

Every provider should be accountable for offering clean web and mail hosting.

Unfortunately, some providers neglect basic mail standards or limits. Thanks to the UCEPROTECT system, providers who fail to maintain proper practices are listed, helping to keep email networks safer.

To those who say “you have to pay”: no, initially you get blocked for a week—we’ve been there too. If you want an early delist, a small fee is required.

Its a scam. Many of our servers are on this list, even those without email service.

Don't pay unless you want to continue perpetuating their extortion.

placed on their blacklist, have to pay for removal

We are placed on their blacklist, not because of sending unsollicited e-mails, but because Uceprotect placed full IP ranges on their blacklist and our IP happens to fall in such a range. Legitimate e-mails to users of our system suddenly get blocked at recipients spam-filters. We are never sending spam.
Having to pay for removal, when we are placed on it unjustly, is just a sort of blackmail.
Message to antispam systems using these blacklists: Please do not use the UCEPROTECT blacklists anymore, due to their malicious practices.

UCEProtect is a complete scam

UCEProtect is a complete scam. They will list your IP not because you have been sending spam, but because they straight up blanket-block entire IP ranges. You can get caught up in their 'blacklist' just for existing, and they'll charge you to deslit. If you use them to filter your email I strongly suggest you use a legitimate RBL - there are many great ones out there.

Scam company

Scam company. Removal of IP's can only be done by making a payment. Even if you're not a spammer, you will be automatically listed here when you register your domain name with Namecheap, OVH etc. Since the owner of this project names them 'spammy hosts'. So you are punished, even though you are not a spammer yourselves. Happily, most email parties don't even consider this crap a valid blacklist - so don't worry to much about it.

UCEProtect.net is a scam.

UCEProtect.net is a scam.

First of all; it's a http:// web site. Not even a https.
I have a server that was `blacklisted` by uceprotect.net. That server did not have any mail port open. It doesn't have postfix or any email services; so there's no way it can send emails.

All of a sudden, the whole subnet that my server was in were blacklisted by UCEPROTECT.net

There are probably other servers in those subnet that are sending emails to spamtraps.

- uceprotect.net is apparently trying to extort server owners to paying them $100 USD for delisting. I paid them $100 USD; nothing happened. Not even an email confirmation from this uceprotect.net business.

FYI, there are many warnings against uceprotect.net from Inmotionhosting, Trendmicro, etc..

Hope this helps other business owners. Stay away from this scammer.

Blackmailing scammers. Is this run by mafia?

uceprotect listed us despite no spam or marketing emails being sent from our domain. uceprotect caused email between us and our regular suppliers and regular customers to be lost. They are asking for CHF449 to allow us to communicate with suppliers and customers again.

Should they be refered to interpol for investigation as this is cybercrime?

We are a small company, they've listed us for no reason.
We've spent hours of searching if there was any possible spam going from our IP or domain, then we found many statements from people all over the internet, about their business modell, If you're whitelisted, which is their money payed service, you wont get blackisted. Wow, how can this even be legal, oh... that's why are they located in Switzerland ?

uceprotect.net Is this blackmail?

uceprotect.net - Is this legitimate or pure blackmail?

They run a blacklist service where your IP is proven not to be sending out spam, but because others IPs within the datacenter have done so, they block all the IPs, but you can pay them to be removed?
