My child attends Twisty Tails Nursery and this nursery is truly amazing. The staff are friendly, supportive, and always put families first. I really appreciate that they don’t pressure parents into paid sessions and are flexible with funding options, especially in the current climate. All their extra‑curricular activities are free of charge too, which is rare these days. It’s a huge help and shows how much they care about children and parents.

Twisty Tale Nursery in Stanmore has been an exceptional experience for our family. The staff are incredibly professional, caring and attentive, ensuring that children are well looked after at all times. The nursery itself is very clean, highly secure and provides a safe environment from the moment you walk in.
When it comes to child development, Twisty Tale Nursery truly stands out. Having had children attend other nurseries in the past, we can confidently say this has been the best by far. They offer a wide range of activities, including exposure to different languages and diverse cultural education, helping children understand and value different traditions right from the start. They celebrate all religious beliefs, which we deeply appreciate.
We have noticed remarkable and rapid development in our daughter compared to our older children at the same age when they were in nursery. The team always provides a thorough handover at pick‑up, and the app allows us to monitor her day in detail. As parents, this is incredibly reassuring and gives us real peace of mind.
Honestly, we could go on and on. Twisty Tale Nursery is superb in every way!

I cannot recommend this nursery.
I paid the deposit for my son to attend this nursery. The Terms & Conditions (currently available online, and sent to me ‘in error’ by the nursery) clearly state that this is refundable if the child does not take up their place.
The nursery subsequently had an Ofsted inspection where it received ‘Requires Improvement’ in every domain, and I was no longer comfortable sending my child there. I therefore asked for the deposit back (with >2 months notice), and after initially asking for my bank details to return it, when I chased it up after receiving nothing, I was told that their terms had changed and the deposit is no longer refundable if a child doesn’t take up their spot. They appear to have updated their T&Cs in the interim - I have to assume because people were cancelling places based on the Ofsted Ranking.
This is a huge red flag and not in keeping with any other nurseries. I will be taking this further.

Twisty Tails Nurseries offers a decent environment for kids, with friendly staff and plenty of activities. My child settled in fairly well and has shown noticeable improvements in communication and development. The food quality and hygiene standards are good. While not perfect, it's a solid option for childcare in the NW9 area.

Having worked in education myself for over 15 years, I can tell you that this nursery is exceptional. My son attends Colindale Twisty Tails and I am very happy. He has been coming here since he was a very small baby and has always received exceptional care. All of the team at Twisty Tails Colindale are highly skilled professionals. You can tell that they all have a lot of experience working with very young children. They always take the time to talk to parents at the end of the day and tell them about their child's day. They are always so prompt in posting the daily diaries so that we can see what our children ate, information about their nappy changes and any other information. They often provide lovely photos for the day. My son goes three times a week and looks forward to going each morning. He goes in happily and I know that he has lots of fun and is well looked after. The team are so kind and caring and I have formed several strong connections with many of the wonderful teachers working at this nursery. If I ever call on the phone, it is always picked up. It never seems like I am disturbing and everyone goes above and beyond to make sure my questions are answered. My son has developed in many ways thanks to Twisty Tails. His vocabulary has improved and due to the variety of activities they do, many other aspects of his development have improved. I love that they do activities that perhaps I don't do with him yet - such as watering plants, playing with sand baking and painting. I don't normally write detailed reviews but Colindale Twisty Tails deserve it. Everyone is so incredibly hard working at this Nursery. If you are looking for a nurturing, loving and happy nursery, this is the one for you.

The staff at Twisty Tails Stanmore are absolutely fantastic, they are so caring, nurturing and wonderful. My 16 month old absolutely loves going there. We can see the difference attending this nursery has made to her confidence when it comes to interacting with older children, speaking abilities (speech development), willingness to try new things/explore etc. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. The facilities are beautiful too - it's brand new.

Wonderful nursery

My son is developing amazingly while being at twisty tails nursery Pinner, I requested for the nursery practitioners to assist my son with his speech and language and he’s speaking a lot more, and he’s also coming along well with the pronunciation of his words and sentences. My son will come home singing the songs he’s learnt at nursery, he always leaves with a smile on his face and is always joyful and excited to see everyone when we arrive in the morning. The meals are always freshly made and filling for him. I can see that Twisty Tails Nursery Pinner has my sons best interest at heart. I am beyond grateful for all the lovely practitioners and wonderful manager at twisty tails.

We were recommended to this nursery by our neighbours as both of their children went to the Colindale branch. I personally feel that the environment is safe and my daughter is always learning. I have not seen in the last 9 months that she would say no to go to the nursery. She is ready to go on the weekend too with her little bag.

I was walking pass the new nursery in Stanmore and the nursery smart car pulled up. got talking to the gentleman as I am interested in registering for our new born baby girl to attend the nursery. A lot of work going on inside and you can see the quality that it will come to. I will update my review when I see the final outcome as we have registered with the nursery. Good to see quality a nursery coming near by to us in the Stanmore area.

Great nursery, great staff my son has been attending twisty tails for almost a year and I couldn’t be happier, he looks forward to every nursery session and comes out with a big smile daily, he has built an exceptional bond with his key worker and I find the communication from the nursery excellent. He has thrived since starting twisty tails nursery, I couldn’t ask for more.

My daughter and I love twisty tails nursery, I have been sending my child there for 7 months now they are AMAZING!.
My daughter always enjoys her time in nursery and likes to tell me all the stories about the fun she's had and is always very eager to get to nursing as she has a wonderful time, she has grown close bonds with the staff especially the manger siobhan which I think is brilliant.
The staff has always been so helpful and professional which put my mind at ease as my child was very young when she started.
In my opinion twisty tails nursery is a Very good nursery.

My child attended Twisty Tails Colindale Nursery for the last 2 years. She is now ready for a big school and I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Colindale team. The staff are amazing and we will miss you all. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for a warm and caring environment for their child.

My husband left the review below but I wanted to go into a little more detail.
After that review below we were contacted by management to offer our £250 deposit back and asked to remove that review. We were told that the Area Manager (Director/Owner) would be looking into the points made on TrustPilot.

There were numerous times we had to complain to the Colindale nursery manager about our son's nappies not being changed regularly enough (over 4 hrs on multiple occasions). The reply from the nursery manager was 'sometimes the app does not save all the information posted by staff'. I was assured by her that she'd put it on the board in the nursery + in the staff Whatsapp group that our son's nappies must be changed regularly / every 2 hours. The owner acknowledged that on some days our son did (as we said) only have 3 nappy changes for the whole day (generally 9am - 5.30pm) but one of those changes is done at home time so that’s leaves 2 nappies for the whole day! We do not find that acceptable. In the 'investigation' we were told it was ‘standard procedure’ to change nappies every 4hrs. If that was company policy why was it not mentioned before? Regardless, we (the parents) had specifically requested multiple times for our son’s nappies to be changed regularly/every 2 hrs.

The owner said there was no evidence found of the nursery manager being unprofessional with her partner outside the nursery. It wouldn't take much effort to look into this; our son had 3 days a week at nursery so surely you would just look at the CCTV on the days our son was at nursery on the same day/afternoon the nursery manager had off work then they would see for themselves.

The technology/app TT use is so basic. With the amount of money TT are making they should be able to invest in decent tech. Daily updates on the app had only started to be made after we asked if there were any updates available for parents. Before that, it was just nappy changes and meals. It would’ve been nice to know what our son was actually doing each day rather than having to wait 7 to 14 days for an update on the ‘Learning Journey’. Occasionally they add some photos to an update. One time, the same set of photos were used on different updates 2 weeks apart, our son had had a hair cut in between the 2 updates, it was all just laughable.

On lots of occasions our son’s arrival time at the nursery had been listed as much later than it actually was (i.e. arrive at 9am but down on the app as starting at 11.30am etc). It may seem like nit-picking but it’s just incompetence.

On the newsletter that’s sent every month TT have a ‘staffing update’ section, between Jan and Apr they welcomed 5 new members of staff and said farewell to 3. I would say that is a high turnover of staff. The owner said it was 1 staff member that had left. (Playing things down again).

When our son had the accident at the nursery that was the final straw. We couldn't bear to send him back there again so never returned. The day after the accident he had a seizure + went to hospital by ambulance. The Consultant ordered a brain scan to check if the bang to the head caused the seizure. The injuries our son had did not seem consistent with the story told by the nursery so we made a Subject Access Request to see the CCTV footage of the accident (which we are completely within our rights to do). The first SAR was ignored + the 2nd one was refused; we were told by The Area Manager (owner) said that we couldn't see the CCTV as they didn't have the tech to blur out other children's faces. That is not how you casually reply to a SAR. We made a complaint to the ICO and Ofsted about this. We never seen the CCTV so we can only assume that they were covering something up otherwise surely they would've been willing to show us the accident to put our minds at rest and put themselves in the clear.

Lastly, when we emailed the nursery manager 1 week later to inform her that our son wouldn't be returning to the nursery after the accident he had in their care, she sent her well wishes but also informed us how much money was to be deducted from our deposit for the days he did not attend after the accident. She also was quick to remind us that our son had previously had a seizure in the past, implying that the new seizure was nothing to with the accident he had in their care. Another defence from TT staff.

It's true, unfortunately their main concern is money, not the children sadly. In the owner's reply, all she was interested in was lying to defend the company + playing everything down.

I know childcare is extremely expensive + everyone is feeling the pinch but if you can afford somewhere better for your child to go, do send them there instead otherwise you may live to regret it, like us.

We are very happy with this nursery. Our daughter started to go to this nursery at Colindale two years ago when she was 10 months old. The staff are very friendly, caring, and helpful – always respond to any of our queries and concerns. My daughter is always happy when going to the nursery and when we pick her up in the late afternoon. She makes many friends there and quite enjoys the activities with lots of fun, and also learns a lot. As parents, we quite enjoy reading the notes recorded on the App of eyLog Parent, knowing how she spends her every day at nursery with regular photos (/videos), comments, and progress reports. We also like their monthly newsletter very much, knowing what is happening at the nursery, planned activities of themes, and lots of useful information about kids at an early age. The nursery also suggested us a good time to start the potty train and actually help us to complete the potty train. We also often ask for some suggestions, for example when our daughter was sick, as they have more experience with kids.

We want to say a huge thank you to Siobhan, the manager, and the whole team, and would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter started here at 6 months and as any parent would be, I was worried but I'm so pleased with her progress and would highly recommend this nursery.

She settled really well with the help of the staff, she has a very strong bond with Carol and Paula, she even looks forward to seeing them in the morning before going into the nursery by calling their names.

Her progress has exceeded our expectations and she is continuously learning new things. I really appreciate all the daily updates, feedback and weekly photos on the EYLOG.

Our experience at this nursery was nothing but a trip to hell and back. There were hardly any updates on the app and most days there were no app updates at all so you didn’t really know what your child’s day at nursery was like , most days our child had 2 / 3 nappy changes for the entire day with gaps of 4hrs between nappy changes and he’s under 2 years old . Other times our son will arrive in nappies we did not provide for him and the size of that nappy was 2 sizes smaller. On one occasion our son came home with his jumper soaking wet from the elbows down , no1 at the nursery ever has an explanation and the manager does not reply to complaints , there’s a change in staff frequently so I can imagine how confusing it must be for the children . One another occasion the manager was in the waiting area outside the nursery picking up her own child , she was waiting with her partner where they were cuddled up , kissing and making puppy love infront of the other parents , this is very unprofessional and uncomfortable to watch . One another occasion we wanted to swap his dummies with some new ones , we requested to have the old ones and we were handed dummies that did not even belong to our son , it makes you wonder the level of hygiene that is being practice if your child is sucking on another child’s dummy , this might explain why he’s always sick from nursery . To top it off our son had a fall at nursery , the explanation given didn’t add up in the slightest way and we doubt that the nursery knew what really happened as we suspect they weren’t keeping an eye on the children ( our son was in hospital the next day ) , the level of unprofessionalism and standards of work from management and staff there are just shocking. The only things that’s ever correct there is invoices being sent on time and even ahead of time , sad to say that it appears they care more about the money rather than the children.

My son has been going to Twisty Tails Nursery @ Colindale since he was 10 months old. He is in his final few months until he goes to BIG School.
He Seems really happy at nursery and is very keen to go in. He has come on leaps and bounds the past few months- spelling his name/ phonics and his toileting has come a long way.

Ria and her team are simply fantastic. They show endless dedication, care and support for my daughter's wellbeing and development. As a first time mum, they have supported me through key milestones such as potty training and adjusting some behavioural issues. Ria and her team have become an important integral part of mine and my daughter's lives. She looks forward every day to spending time with them and I couldn't trust anyone more than I trust them. I highly recommend!

Friendly small nursery, as a first time mum going back to work in a pandemic the staff at twisty tails Pinner really put me at ease knowing my child is well looked after and cared for. The log they use is brilliant and they regularly complete assessments on the children. My son has come on so much since starting a few months ago, Thank you
