Great performance

Great insurance company. I've had all my devices covered for the last 4 years and even when they haven't found a replacement to send me the settlement money offered has been very good.

My mobile phone amendment from one device to another was effortless with the help of the call centre.

Easy to use which is good for someone like me not good on computer

This is an awful company. They take your premium until you need a gadget replaced/repaired then its a nightmare. Its been over 3 weeks now and i still dont have my phone back and they just keep fobbing you off with “management have contacted the approved repairer and they cant get the part they need”. If this is the case then, they should be replacing the phone, as nearly a month to wait for a phone to be fixed is an absolute joke. The repair company wont speak to me as its an insurance claim and Taurus wont escalate the issue to senior management. Yet here i am stuck without a phone. Absolute joke of a company.

The process of obtaining a quote and taking out the policy were smooth and straightforward. Having looked at many other policies, Trusted Insurance was the best. Offering 3 devices to be covered in the one quote and at a cost less than everywhere else as well as a lower excess. So far so good, and hope should there be a claim the future, that the claim process will be as easy as taking out the policy.

I don’t normally do reviews, but the service received is worth mentioning.

My son has severe Learning and Care Needs. Part of his needs are for him to always be contactable, able to be tracked (in an emergency) using iCloud and for him to be able to contact us, (in an emergency).

He managed to lose his Apple Watch which has the built-in sim card track facility through iCloud, which has previously made the difference between him being admitted for treatment early enough to stop a medical emergency in its tracks rather than having a much longer hospital stay with a possibly worse outcome. We were also able to locate him after he became lost in a town he was not familiar with. Anyone who has children with additional care needs will know how important this can be for the caregiver.

Skip forwards to Trusted Insurance and especially the most caring, thoughtful, and understanding human being (Victoria) when my son became distressed due to losing his Watch and not being able to explain to the insurance company due to his conditions, what happened. Immediately Victoria quickly realised my son had additional needs and took it upon herself to ensure my son wasn’t left without his vital lifeline. After listening to my son’s recollection of the phone call to Victoria from Trusted Insurance, it brought a tear to my eye about learning how professionally he was dealt with, especially when I know how difficult it would have been for Victoria to understand him and for my son to understand what someone was talking about, especially about such a complicated topic!

So, thank you so much for your help and assistance. I hope your company recognises you’re going beyond the call of duty with this, Victoria.

Efficient and friendly service when taking out new policy, great bundle price for three gadgets

I had insurance with taurus for many years and they really have gone downhill in the last few.

The second to last time i claimed it took 4 weeks to get a replacement phone. When the phone arrived, it had a broken speaker so was sent back, another 10 days before a new phone arrived which had a battery fault. I asked if I could be paid out for my phone instead and was told they would pay £281 (on a £1000 phone that was less than a year old) so I bit the bullet and waited another 10 days for a new phone. All in all 3 phones and nearly 2 months before I actually had a working replacement phone.

The last time I claimed the process took 3 weeks - only for them to tell me they would not replace the phone and would instead pay out (this time £500). I accepted that as to be honest I wanted out of the policy.

I bought a new phone and went to a new provider, only to find out after I had already signed up for the policy that my new provider is also a subsidiary of Taurus, just as Trusted insurance is, and is just as problematic.

Please avoid Trusted Insurance and any company related to Taurus (their parent company) at all costs! Unless you don't mind waiting 1+ months for a may working maybe faulty replacement device.

Right now - i would give 0 stars!

I raised a claim on 11th July - i got an email a week ago advising they dont stock the item and they could pay out a settlement- the settlement is less than the cost of a new device and its not good enough so ive asked for a settlement for the full cost of replacing the item considering they cannot replace it!!
Have i recieved a response? Of course not, NOT EVEN AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RECIEPT OF EMAIL.

Absolutely brilliant, replaced my broken phone with no fuss and very quickly .

There service was absolutely abysmal! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I was told my device would be with me within 48 hours of them receiving it and after 3 weeks of chasing everyday I was finally offered a settlement. I lost money because I was unable to do my job without this phone and had to take a lot of time off instead of just the 2 days they advised!! I then received the phone and the settlement and was told I had to fanny about sending one back. I was away on business when the device was sent through to me and when my sister opened it for me 5 days after it arrived to check it was the phone when the contacted me it was smashed!! I then get told that because it was 5 days after arrival and my sister threw the ripped packaging away I had to pay the excess again!!

I HAVE BEEN ROYALLY SCREWED BY THIS INCOMPETANT COMPANY AND WOULD GIVE THEM 0 IF COULD.

AVOID THEM!
