I love how easy it is to do a claim and the processing is really quick as well. 5/5 stars! Best travel insurance I've ever had to be honest.

I have been exclusively using True Traveller for various working holidays since 2015 with my policies lasting between 1-2 years each time. Although I have rarely needed to claim (fortunately), anytime that I have has been resolved quickly and easily. My most recent claim was approved and resolved within 24 hours. I will be using True Traveller for as long as they’ll have me and wouldn’t want to be insured by anybody else.

Fast response from the team and reliable communication, even from Mexico. highly recommended.

I am extremely disappointed in this insurance company, I purely went with them due to the fact they have very good reviews, which must be before people need to claim. The customer service and communication is awful. I have never had to claim on an insurance before but every person, I spoke to told me different things. After 4 days of being in hospital and wanting to leave as quickly as possible, I had to call and email numerous times to get any sort of information as the hospital kept asking me to contact them. I was then lied to and then received an email after finally leaving the hospital to the be told a decision would be made 2 days later. The helpline is 24/7 but clearly isn’t in terms of claims being accepted, the unnecessary stress this has caused was completely avoidable if all of the employees were doing their job properly. Eventually after getting my mother in law to phone, I then received an email saying they will put a payment guarantee with the hospital so we could leave, after waiting all day. I was being told 1/2 hours every time I spoke to someone when clearly this was able to be avoided from the first time I had called.

This has been the first time I need the assistance of a medical insurance when I was abroad. Fast and full refund of all my expenses after a small medical issue. Super!

True Traveller may be the best travel insurance firm I have ever dealt with. The online claims form is easy to use and understand. My relatively long and complex claim was reviewed and processed in about 36 hours with payment in my bank account about 24 hours after that. All in all a fantastic experience.

I made a claim for medical expenses on behalf of my girlfriend following a medical incident in India. I was expecting it to take some time to settle but I put my claim in on a Monday and the money was in my bank account by the following afternoon. Amazing service - I cannot fault them. Only 3 stars. Because when the emergency happened it was really hard to get a hold on the emergency team. I could only reach the sales team. They helped me contact the emergency team.
And I had email contact with them. They used a lot of time to assess my case. I was laying in a lot of pain, waiting 1 week for the medical team to approve what the doctor recommended a week earlier.

After they approved the surgery, they have been good. Was also easy to reimburse what I had to pay for the first visits to the hospital. They have also been good with the follow up with later doctor appointments and physiotherapy.

Highly recommend this company for anyone travelling. The company processes claims in such a timely manner. The cost of doctors fees abroad is so expensive, it's an ease having this insurance knowing how fast they work with you to ensure you receive your money you are entitled to back in your account. Ana was a great help during my second claim. Thank you :)

I took out a years long policy and unfortunately I encountered a new health problem whilst away, requiring different consultations, an MRI scan and surgical procedure. I had to phone the 24/7 helpline as some costs were due to be over £500 each. TT were able to confirm approval for these costs within the day, as I needed an answer quickly as things were moving fast.
When I claimed the money back the funds were in my account quickly (1-7 days). The more evidence you can upload the quicker the reimbursement.

I still have 6 months of my trip left but feel reassured knowing I have TT travel insurance covering me. They’re not like other insurance companies who have lots of loopholes to get out of paying and clunky online systems.

I can’t remember everyone’s names but Dasa, Matej and Vera were all helpful, friendly and responded promptly.

The only negative I experienced was a member of staff I spoke to on the 24/7 helpline. I spoke to 4 different people, of whom 3 were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately one woman had an annoyed tone and kept confusing me by saying conflicting things. When I tried to clarify what she was saying she became frustrated with me; exasperated sighing, laughing and saying “I don’t know what you want / I never said that”. I was a bit shocked at the end of the call as her demeanour was completely different to the rest of the TT team. I know everyone can have a bad day, so hopefully it was just that, but had she been the first person I’d spoken to I would have had a bad first impression of TT.

But as I said I would definitely recommend TT for your travel insurance!

I only claimed £17.80 for a medical expense but it was decided and I had the money in my account within one working day!

Express communication from True Traveller's side, great experience overall.

Based on good reviews from people who had True Traveller insurance in Canada, I decided to choose it for my WH visa in New Zealand. It’s been a little over a week since I had a work injury. It has only been a few days since I filled my claim for visit to the ER and prescription medicine, and it has already been settled. And I mean everything! Super quick communication, successful claim, money in the bank (foreign currency just to add). Done, easy.
