The worst customer experience I have…

The worst customer experience I have ever had! I registered a lost and found item that has tracking. I have received no communication in 2 months. I have left notes on my application and emailed so many times and no reply! At a complete loss and never got the item back

We lost two items at Disneyland Paris

We lost two items at Disneyland Paris, the first was found and we could easily get it back. The second i’ve been trying to reach troov about for a month now, different e-mail addresses and even different people working at troov. We can not get in contact in ANY way since i’m not getting any responds. (We lost the item and couldn’t get it send over for some weird reason, only pick up and since we live in the Netherlands and not in France this is not an option.)

One day i checked and suddenly i could be send over, so of course i immediately acted. The thing is, this company is very easy to get lost stuff found but to get it back is a whole another thing and getting in contact with ANYONE is quite impossible.

Feel like I’m stuck in the matrix

Feel like I’m stuck in the matrix.

Left a phone on an EasyJet flight to Newcastle. Tracker showed it going back to Charles de Gaule airport. Was told to register it as lost with Troov. A month later I get a Troov ‘match’ out of the blue and pay €38 for 3-4 day postage to have it returned to the UK. That was nearly 2 weeks ago.

Postage tracking shows it’s never left the airport. Troov is who I paid but they haven’t replied. The postage company can’t help, CDG airport lost property can’t help, EasyJet can’t help. Who do I go to next? Troov is an intermediary but who for??

Super easy to lodge missing item

Super easy to lodge missing item - I left my expensive watch in a security tray in Nice airport. I lodged the missing item as soon as I touched down in UK, 5hrs later the item was recorded as a match, less than a week later the watch was back on my wrist. Outstanding.

Waste of time

I recorded my loss on the same day, I had left brand new running shoes in the hotel room at Disney, Paris. Whoever cleaned the room has my shoes. I've received not even an acknowledgement from Troov. Farcically useless.

Rated 2 but that's only because we had…

Rated 2 but that's only because we had a match, every other part of troov truly feels like a money making business for lost items. Son lost his backpack and wallet at DLP this November on our last day there, and we were informed at City Hall to use Troov. Went home inputted our information (several times because the translation is not clear) and placed up a photo of our backpack. They found a match, which wasn't my son's backpack but a wallet. I didn't know that until I'd paid £30 for delivery, only to find when it arrived (not 2 days later as indicated but 6 days) it was his wallet, with no money in and only a library card (so essentially absolutely pointless). The system is seriously flawed in that you do not get to see first hand if the match is your match and how much they have matched of the lost items, they only blanket state they have a match.

BVA airport

BVA airport. After losing some items, I was hopeful that the service would help me recover them efficiently. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

The process of retrieving my lost items was not only costly but also unsatisfactory. I was charged 57 EUR to get my package back, and upon receiving it, I noticed that it was incomplete. The earbuds, which were the most expensive item I lost, and a laptop charger were missing from the package. These were the most valuable items I was hoping to recover, and their absence was a significant letdown.

The lack of transparency and accountability in this process left me feeling frustrated. I would caution others against relying on Troov.com and the lost and found services at BVA airport. It seems they do not take adequate care in ensuring all items are properly handled and returned to their rightful owners.

In addition to these issues, I found the Troov.com website difficult to navigate. It’s not user-friendly, and even when you try to change the language settings, it often reverts back to French. This lack of consideration for international users adds to the frustration, especially when dealing with the already stressful situation of lost belongings.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. Forgot a bag at Nice airport after passport control reported it to Troov and got a standard reply. Chased it by email to be told it had not been found. Chased again with the same reply. No one would answer the phone.
Had to fly back Nice airport a week later, went to the lost and found in terminal 2 and……. You guessed it, the man went to the back and came out with the bag. The system is clearly broken and without the ability to have anyone pick up a phone it is disgusting to have to pay $12 for a job that wasn’t done. The question is how did they not know they had the bag all along. Also the bag had no label and was not opened so that they could not have even known it was ours. Once again rubbish business.

Really poor service

Really poor service. Lost a coat with my car keys in the pocket at Nice Airport, registered it within 4 hours as knew exactly where I’d left it. The website said they would contact me within 48 hours guaranteed about my item. Nothing for 4 days. I then email asking for an update. Get a response saying that as they service multiple airports they can’t be expected to get back to me yet - despite their own website saying the 48 hour guarantee…
I followed up a week later, a full 10 days after losing the item and they have ignored my email since, for over weeks. Given up hope.

I had a carryon bag stolen from a Swiss…

I had a carryon bag stolen from a Swiss Air gate at the airport in Nice in July 21. I was devastated and nobody really cared. The Swiss attendants (as well as the airports Customer Service) told me that the only way the security cameras could be accessed was by the police. I had to get on a plane and never got to file a report with the police. I was told by the airport that the only way to contact the police was via email but after three attempts, I gave up. A few weeks ago I decided to file a report with Troov and about one week later, there was a match. A few days after that, my bag was delivered to my house with ALL OF THE CONTENTS! It is still a mystery how my bag ended up at the lost and found after being grabbed from under my seat but I’ve accepted that I’ll never know. It cost me 137 € to have it delivered to my house in the US but I had a lot of cash and jewelry worth much more than that. I was worried about the service initially but I am so happy I decided to file a report and so thankful to have my things back! I hope this review helps!

Lost an item at Nice airport security

Lost an item at Nice airport security. Followed instructions and paid 12 euro to Troov. On its website, Troov gives the following address to collect lost objects: Rue Costes et Bellonte , 06200 , Nice. Went to the street and spent an hour checking buildings on the street. No sign of Troov. Two hotels on the street never heard of it. Gave up searching after an hour. Finally contacted Nice Airport administration next day to finally discover that Troov Lost and Found Service is in Terminal 2. Can't understand how a company that seems to get high ratings and for which we pay a service fee cannot put on its website the proper address of its office at Nice Airport. How unprofessional. Exasperating.

Literally a useless website! located the item but offering no delivery options except express delivery and they are asking €1200 to return a £320 iPad, complete waste of time.

Not useful for booking an appointment

Troov is a French platform that allows people who have lost personal items to find them. “Trouver” means “to find” in English.
For some reason they managed to have a partnership with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs so that people can find appointment with the consulates and embassies.
There might be a case where losing an item and finding a time for an appointment is similar but I struggle to see it.
In the end, it does not really work as there are not many possibilities to find a time (which might be similar to the probability of finding a lost Wallet). One could argue here that it is independent of Troov’s power.
However, when there is a time it is clearly not easy to book it and makes the experience very frustrating.
