THE MOTORHOME WAS VERY WELL PRESENTED. IF I HAD ANY CRITICISM IT WAS FOR THE KITCHEN SET WHICH I DID NOT FEEL WAS WORTH THE COST. ALSO SLIGHTLY ODD THAT NO ONE SPOKE ENGLISH FOR THE MOTORHOME HANDOVER, ACCEPTING THAT THE BOOKING WAS TO AN ENGLISH SPEAKING CUSTOMER?

The camper van was 100 %. Everything worked. If our travel plans in the future include a Camper van in Europe again we would use Hertz.

Hiring a Motorhome in France was a daunting prospect, as we speak minimal French. However the process was very easy, with all the communication in English.
When we arrived at the hire location, they were ready with the vans, all the paperwork and gave a very thorough handover. The vans themselves were under a year old and in perfect condition. Easy to drive and use for a great week.
I would recommend Hertz as a hire company anytime.

I had a fantastic experience with Trois Soleils from start to finish. The Motorhome was in excellent condition and well equipped and the staff at the pick up location were so helpful and informative. I rented the motorhome for an initial 2 week period and travelled from France to the Czech Republic, we unfortunately had a medical emergency with one of our dogs that was travelling with us and this meant we could not travel and return the vehicle on the arranged date. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate us, we eventually returned nearly 3 weeks after the original return date and the experience on returning the motorhome was completely seamless.
We cannot thank the staff at Trois Soleils Nantes enough, the whole experience was amazing and I could not recommend them highly enough! Definitely 5 stars from us!

Absolute dreadful company, poor customer service, money grabbing, franchise type arrangement. No value for money at all. So disappointed with the company and our experience.

We hired a large motorhome which was really ideal and fine from hertz thinking this was a reputable company. Website was ok to book yet simple things like bed linen cutlery even camping equipment isn't supplied. You have to hire and keep, ridiculous if your flying in.

We either had to ensure the van was back clean outside or pay for it. We were told to bring back clean inside. What you should be told is that unless it's absolutely spotless you'll be charged. No cleaning equipment provided though. It was returned clean, washed, swept and tidy.

There's a €399 clean fee, we were accused of a dirty return, I couldn't find any instruction on the return condition other than french agreement. Please check this before signing. The clean was negotiated in the end so no fixed idea other than what money they can get out of you disgusting service.
They hold your deposit so you are in a no win position.
We have hired from other companies never had this issue the complete opposite returned clean and well looked after.
What is the hire actually for? You pay for diesel, adblue, bed linen, cutlery, you get no camping utensils no tables no chairs it's a really basic ridiculous hire arrangement. The t&c are in french even basic french you will not understand the agreement. I asked for a translation was told not possible.

Absolutely no chance will we use these again. We had a really good holiday and the motorhome was good other than the gas not working! which ended in a sour taste being scrutinized like we are scum.

Do not go here find somewhere else to hire. Poor poor service poor company poor experience. 1 star is too much

New and modern motorhome, very comfortable, ideal for a family with two small children.

The woman I checked the RV out with lovely. I'm not sure if she was the owner or manager. I was unable to reserve the RV for day I arrived in France from the United States so I showed up a day early to try my luck and she and the other gentleman working really went above and beyond to get my rental updated and the vehicle ready. Traveling is so stressful especially in a large group and ESPECIALLY when you don't speak the language and I don't even know if they know how much they helped save my trip. They were the nicest people I met in France during my 2 week stay.

The motorhome we hired was nearly new and presented well.
The handover was straightforward and it was reassuring to leave our car parked securely.
This is the second year we have hired from you and we will be back.

Start with the positives the campervan was excellent. Immaculately clean and extremely well designed and comfortable. The people who dealt with us were pleasant and polite. However, apart from the camper van absolutely nothing else was provided with it. After booking the camper van we were informed there was no bedding or crockery and that we would have to buy it but at the end of the trip we could keep it. Not an option as we were flying back to the UK. No pillows were provided with the bed linen. Furthermore when we picked up the van we were told there was no outside table or chairs, so we also had to buy them. There was no cleaning equipment, not even a dustpan and brush. Despite our best efforts to clean it, both inside and out, when we got back we were told we would have to pay for it to be professionally cleaned at a cost of 399 euros! If we had known that we would never have attempted to clean it in the first place. Finally the pickup and drop of place is not at Hertz at Bergerac airport but a short taxi-ride away. Indeed the people dealing with Hertz cars at the airport didn’t seem to have any knowledge of the place, we had to ask the taxi man. If all you want is to hire a Campervan it’s fine. However, if you want the Campervan to be kitted out for a holiday look elsewhere unless you can bring all the extra stuff needed with you.

Before the collection date, we had many questions as it was our first hire. These were all answered promptly and informative. We received a very warm welcome at Libertium, Lannion. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and answered all our queries. They made it all so easy for us.

The booking process has not that easy from an American, but we managed. Got a new motorhome that the water heather didn't work, I lost part of my day to visit a dealer to fix it, and they could not. I had to change plans because of that and pay camping every night to be able to shower. The only solution they offer is a miserable $100 towards future rent. Do they believe I will be renting from them again? Correcting, they came back and refunded me with Euro100.

I would strongly caution anyone considering renting from Hertz Trois Soleils.

It appears Hertz Trois Soleils operates through a network of agents, mainly motorhome sales companies, who manage their rentals. I rented a motorhome near Strasbourg, and despite contacting Hertz in advance to cancel a bike rack and arrange payment for a cleaning charge through their website, neither request was honoured when I arrived. The agent at the depot told me these issues were "nothing to do with them" and that I should take it up with Hertz.

Due to the early 9:30 AM return time, I had to cut my holiday short by a day to thoroughly clean the motorhome at a nearby car wash. The check-in process was rushed, and the agent—who spoke no English—pointed out damage to one wing mirror. I hadn't noticed it before returning the vehicle, but I did recall catching the mirror on a toll barrier, so I fully accepted responsibility for that.

However, he also highlighted some minor rub marks on the opposite mirror, which I argued were normal wear and tear, as has been my experience with UK motorhome rentals. No other issues were pointed out, and I signed the form—written entirely in French—trusting that the agent had documented everything fairly.

To my shock, I later received a bill exceeding €2,300, which included charges for replacing both mirrors, cleaning a vehicle that was already in very clean condition, a scratch on the door that was never pointed out (and I’m confident did not exist), and scratched glass that was also never mentioned. Despite my attempts to dispute these charges, Hertz has been slow to respond and has refused to provide any photographic evidence of the alleged damage. They are relying on a signed document I didn’t fully understand, which I now believe is fraudulent.

Based on this experience and similar reviews from others, I strongly suspect that Hertz’s agents may be scamming their customers, and Hertz themselves appear unwilling to take any action.

I recommend thinking twice before renting from Hertz Trois Soleils, and if you do, do not sign anything unless you fully understand what you're agreeing to.

Good service overall for our camping car rental. A side note, it is not necessary to add an outside cleaning service for a short rental because they only required us to clean inside :)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They have tried to charge us for damage we did not cause, then when we asked for evidence, they dropped the invoice charge. Coming all the way from the UK, with DOGS, They assured us that we could leave our car with them (as stated on the website and by email). When we arrived, they refused to store our car during the period, we had to find airport parking to leave our car and they refused to pay for this, instead saying we could bring it back later on the return day. However, we turned up during their lunch hour at the agent they use for pick up and drop off who refused to take the vehicle back until their lunch time had passed, and we had 2 dogs in the car. The customer service is terrible and they have tried to defraud us.

Great vehicle. Top quality, clean and fully functional. Good communication and rental service. The hand over could have been better - too rushed but we worked it out as we sent.

Very good service but spoilt by the failure of the campervan’s boiler after 1 day so we had no hot water for the rest of the week.

The staff were very helpful (even with my poor french) and friendly and explained everything we needed to know about the Motorhome we were hiring.

We found this company very communitive through the whole process. The van was excellent especially with a gas fridge so we could free camp often without needing power. It had plenty of storage space. Having the shower with a turn wall was excellent. Couldn't fault it. Would definelty hire through this company again.
