YOUR DISABLE BADGE IS USUALLY FREE PARKING NOT IN DARLINGTON CAR PARKS
Absolutely unbelievable, I wrote a post about my recent trip to Darlington, on Trip Advisor.
As a disabled badge holder I have never ever paid for parking In car parks anywhere in the country, however there, even in the marked bays, you still have to pay.
Luckily I returned, just as he was about to ticket me.
Further the town centre is not wheelchair or any other sort of disabled friendly.
THEY REMOVED THE POST, which is a copy of what I tried to post on the site, SAYING IT WAS UNSUITABLE.
Surely warning other Disabled people of the problems in this town, so they can decide to visit or not, is important.
There was nothing handled adequately.
Language issues, correspondence with no identifying information specifying WHICH reservation was being altered, outdated information saying one thing on my profile and another by phone, you name it! I had eight phone calls trying to get 2 reservations straight, and finally vowed never to do business with them again.
Trip Advisor & their partner Viator…
Trip Advisor & their partner Viator completely erased 5 years of 5 star reviews for my business, and lost my account. Do Not use them. Very bad for your business. I would give them a negative star, however, it is not allowed. Honestly, I would not use either company for anything.
BAD REVIEWS REMOVED BY TRIP ADVISOR
Being doing genuine reviews on experiences of pub meals and hotel stays for years on TA but have now GIVEN UP after they continually remove genuine poor reviews in favour of paying establishments. BLATANT FRAUD.
Positive Bias for Companies and Locations over real customer experiences
I put reviews on Trip Advisor for an area in Scotland called Luss, and highlighted issues on parking and fines for other tourists, and they refused to publish it and would not allow me to appeal it as I am not in the EU. This is called positive bias, and ensures these companies and locations only get good reviews, and does not reflect the real experiences of everyone. Awful
Liar completely unprofessional service…
Liar completely unprofessional service for any company or any business if you don’t pay them they create fake listing or post fake reviews in your account
Closing down?
Trip advisor has been the go-to site for many , and a lot of good info is given on the forums. However, due to take over by Viator, the site has gone to the dogs. They have used all the info provided by many contributors and now are dispensing this through "ollie", an AI site. Apart from it being very poor, they are now removing good info posts from the forums, for new reason. And they are removing ability to post for a number of contributors, again without reason. Their moderation has disappeared and they no longer respond to complaints. It is all AI now. The site has been destroyey and there are strong rumours that Viator are not interested in maintaining the site. So is this the end of Trustadvisor? It looks like it
Cannot be honest!
What is the point if you cannot be honest? I wrote an honest review of Crealy and how appalled I was at the fact many of the birds did not have water and how my friends children and me had to give these poor birds water from an outside tap ourselves as despite telling three members of staff, nothing was done while we were there. Believe me these poor things were frantic for water! Trip Advisor will not post my review as they say “it is not relevant the trip”
Well I totally disagree!!!! I think its TOTALLY relevant!! … animals and / or birds gasping for a drink so badly they were trying ti scrabble up the sides of the cramped enclosures on to peoples arms and hands ( this to non country people appeared to be they were being very friendly when in fact they were asking for help !!)
I am sure people are interested to know if a place that keeps any animals and birds for human entertainment is caring for them in the proper manner! If you took a trip to a zoo and the animals were all trying to get out for a drink due to staff neglect , I am sure that is VERY relevant to the visit!! As would be dirty toilets, bad food or rude staff .
I have since left the review elsewhere as I thought Trip Advisor was where you left honest and real reviews which I did! I said the birds had not a drop of water and their drinkers bone dry, but I cannot get my review published. Not everything is roses!! The public has a right to an honest write up, not a fake “Everything was fabulous” review. Again it seems like telling the truth is blocked. I am furious.
Homophobic content in review
I've complained three times about a homophobic mention of my son in a hotel review through the Trip Advisor app... Nothing has been done.
We have taken many Tripadvisor/Viator…
We have taken many Tripadvisor/Viator tours. Our tour guides have always been engaging, informative and interesting.
Our tour with Guanajuato VIP, unfortunately, was an unmitigated disaster. The tour itinerary for Morelia, Patzcuaro and Janitzio from Guanajuato overpromises' and under delivers. Additionally, our tour guide was astoundingly uncommunicative and obtuse. We would not recommend anyone take a tour provided by Guanajuato VIP.
The tour driver picked us up in Guanajuato for the three-hour drive to Morelia in an old, uncomfortable compact car with expired Nebraska license plate (we have a photo of the plate). On the road, we stopped at an OXXO for “breakfast.” Our driver shocked us when he, without asking, presented his loyalty card to the store clerk for our purchase.
The three-hour ride was conducted in virtual silence...our tour guide didn’t review the itinerary with us nor explain anything we were to see or pass by. To get any information from our tour guide, we had to constantly ask questions about what we were seeing. Our tour guide’s behavior was vexing and frustrating.
Once we arrived in Morelia we stopped for 10 minutes at the aqueduct (at our request as it was noted on the itinerary as a pass-by) and for 30 minutes at the cathedral. Our tour guide indicated it was time to leave Morelia when we addressed the Guanajuato VIP’s tour itinerary with her.
There were several additional stops on the itinerary in Morelia we hadn’t seen. We showed the tour guide the Guanajuato VIP’s tour itinerary (that we paid for on Viator) but the tour guide justified herself by saying the itinerary was our responsibility and we should have let her know when we left for the tour. This created an unpleasant adversarial situation between the tour guide and us.
What was on the itinerary:
Isla Janitzio / 2 hrs
Patzcuaro / 1 hr
Mercado de Dulces Y Artesanias Morelia / 30 min
Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolas de Hidalgo / 30 min
Palacio Clavijero y Bibloteca / 30 min
Catedral de Morelia / 30 min
Palace Michoacan State Government / 30 min
Antiguo Palacio de Justicia / 30 min
Acueducto de Morelia / pass by
Fuente de las Tarascas / pass by
Parroquia de la Inmaculada de Morelia / 30 min
Museo del Dulce / 30 min
What we saw:
Isla Janitzio for 2 hrs
Patzcuaro for 1 hr
Acueducto de Morelia for 10 minutes
Catedral de Morelia for 30 min
As we drove through Patzcuaro, police on a motorcycle pulled us over. Our driver told us, “If the police ask you, tell him you are our relatives.” The driver was told we would not get involved. At this point, the tour company lost our trust. Worse yet, Guanajuato VIP put our personal safety at risk. Fortunately, the police let us go.
It was 3pm when we had returned from Isla Janitzio and we hadn’t eaten all day. We were famished. We had to request time to eat in Patzcuaro (our tour guide had no restaurant recommendations for Centro-Historico Patzcuaro). We ate by ourselves (our guide and driver excusing themselves). The relationship with our tour guide had deteriorated to the point where we seriously wondered over dinner if we were going to be abandoned in Patzcuaro (our lodging was in Guanajuato). We spent our dinner frantically searching for transportation options back to Guanajuato.
Thankfully, our guide and driver did return to pick us up. When we expressed concerns with the poor condition of our vehicle our guide indicated we could have a better vehicle for our scheduled tour the next day – for an additional cost. We drove from Patzcuaro back to Guanajuato (four hours) in silence.
Every tour we took with Viator/Tripadvisor has been staffed by licensed tour guides who seemed to enjoy their work and take pride their country, its history and traditions. That was not our experience with this tour operator.
The tour itinerary sets unrealistic expectations; distance/stop/times are fictional. It didn’t help that our driver exhibited unprofessional behavior and that our tour guide was extraordinarily uncommunicative and dismissive. Our personal safety was placed at risk and our money and time was wasted by Guanajuato VIP.
We called Viator/Tripadvisor that evening to explain our personal security concerns, frustration regarding the false itinerary and the tour guide's behavior. The Viator agent we spoke to was understanding and sympathetic. Unfortunately, Viator ultimately settled the dispute in their business interest and in agreement with the tour operator.
As an addendum, and to summarize our experience with Guanajuato VIP, Guanajuato VIP sent an expletive laden message to us.
No longer fair or unbiased
It seems that since they were bought by one of the big quasi-monpolies in the travel business they have completely lost their value because THEY ROUTINELY REJECT NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Their algorithms are completely biased it seems.

Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort Wailea Disrespected and Unwelcome – A Disturbing Experience at Grand Wailea
As a timeshare owner, I expected to be treated with the same respect as any guest. Instead, my family and I were kicked out of the pool area by management, who claimed that we didn’t have access to the resort amenities — despite the fact that nowhere in writing does it say that timeshare owners are excluded.
What made the situation even worse was the tone and attitude of the staff. The interaction left me feeling not just dismissed, but singled out. As a Black person, I can’t help but feel that race played a role in how we were treated. The lack of clarity in policy combined with the way management approached us made the experience humiliating and painful. There is no need to keep mentioning how expensive your rooms are! A timeshare is way more expensive!
We’ve invested thousands of dollars into this resort through ownership, and to be treated this way was unacceptable. Grand Wailea needs to train its staff on both proper guest relations and cultural sensitivity. Every guest and owner deserves dignity and fair treatment, no matter their background.
Until the resort addresses this issue and clarifies its policies, I cannot in good conscience recommend Grand Wailea to anyone.
Dreadful dreadful dreadful - do not touch!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Bought tickets on Trip Advisor for the Uffizi museum in Florence. Had the digital tickets on my phone: all good, I thought. Not a bit of it: the real tickets - the ones that will gain entrance to the actual museum - have to be procured from a random guy on some street corner nearby. Why? I had the QR codes on my phone. We paid for 'fast track' but it so wasn't 'fast' track at all. More 'confusing and enraging track'. Nowhere was it explained that this was what we would have to do. My advice: don't waste your hard-earned cash on Trip Advisor's false promises and just get in the queue for the unticketed. Never again. They refused to publish this review on their own website, incidentally. We did get into the museum but it was a struggle and we didn't pay for that!
wow what a dog shit website
wow what a dog shit website, they delete my reviews because I shared my experience which was very generic
Buyer beware! Canceled Sunset Cruise. No regund?
I will continue writing bad reviews until I get a human being (and not a bot) to respond to me with an adequate response, for a refund for a Sunset Sail cruise that we did not attend due to the poor weather conditions.

On the day of, when the dangerous weather came in I contacted both Viator (spoke with a non English speaking person who did not help) and I contacted the tour operator who admitted water conditions were not “ideal” but they’d still go out. I HAVE 2 YOUNG CHILDREN. I WILL NOT GO OUT ON AN OCEAN WHEN EVEN MY HOTEL PUT UP RED FLAGS AND DID NOT ALLOW US IN THE WATER. I have stated several times that as of September 1, 2025 THERE IS NO ACTIVE Charge back with our financial institution. I’ve talked to them several times and they have continuously told me that TripAdvisor/Viator is the one who should issue the refund. Please do not email me stating that there is an active charge back when in fact, I have two letters stating that based on our financial institution, that has been closed. Again, I’m requesting a refund for a sailing trip. The sunset cruise should have been canceled based on poor weather conditions. You should show good faith to your customers that safety comes first; and not putting money in your pocket and putting your customers at risk. Escalate this to management please.

Cucina carina is a restaurant in Mount…Cucina Carina was like a sprint!
Cucina carina is a restaurant in Mount Laurel NJ. My wife and I went for a nice nite out. Soup was served in a cup smaller than I have ever seen. Should have been much hotter. Salad was also quite small. Rolls were fabulous. Soft and right out of oven. My lasagna was good. The sauce was excellent. My wife had chicken Marsala and thought it was very good. The major issue was that entire meal with wine took 43 minutes. We were not eating at a diner. Second time same result. Since we like to relax and eat Cucina has moved off our list.
The Magnificent Mile hotel is part of…
The Magnificent Mile hotel is part of the Chicago Hotel collection and is undoubtedly the WORST hotel we have ever stayed in!
We arrived on Saturday 23 August 2025 and were immediately hit with a “tourist tax of over 432 dollars!!” It is the biggest rip off ever! We are in room 2804 and it’s very very poor! The curtains don’t close and there is a massive stain on the ceiling where there has obviously been a leak from upstairs! Now you would think that after being fleeced for all that money that the room would be at least cleaned daily? Not a chance! Same towels for 3 days and we had to provide our own toilet paper!
What do you get for all this money? Not a lot! It really is the pits of a hotel and by writing this review I am hoping to warn anyone thinking of staying here- DONT!!!!!
We have warned off a group of friends who are part of a choir and have moved their booking to another hotel who will not rip them off! The staff look embarrassed by the fact that guests have lined up to complain about the charge which is totally unacceptable and unjustified!!
Please think twice if you are thinking of booking a stay here - there are many hotels in this area which will not charge anything like the price which we had to pay! After saving up for so long to enjoy this wonderful city it is sad that we feel so very upset by this poor excuse for a hotel!!
Very disappointed with the trip advisor…
Very disappointed with the trip advisor reviews process. I have had to re right the review 3 times & then it gets removed. How can you give a honest review when trip advisor will not print it. So it’s sided with the business not the customer
