Absolutely Worst Anti Virus Software
One of the worst online services, totally unprofessional using misleading methods to sell the product to public, once product was purchased there's no possibility to manage your account , you are being dispatched with defective links, few weeks before product expiration they charge automatically your credit card etc. The software keep opening warning windows upon every action online , stay away from this company
Sad Trend Micro let Mr down after 20+ years
I have used and been very happy with the security I received from Trend Micro Internet security unti November 2022 update when it suddenly started taking up all my PC's services, thereby rendering my PC useless. I have uninstalled and installed a different antivirus now my PC works normally again.
BEWARE OF OBFUSCATED WEBSITES
The absolute first thing that tells me to stay away from this company, is their website. When you have to hunt/search to see the product details and pricing something is defiantly wrong! Trend Micro website has to be in the top five of the worst websites!
worst product and service ever please be look elsewhere
Ok, I don't usually post reviews unless si has a serious concert or impeccable service. This review is not impeccable. Please do not buy this product. I have purchased 3 of these devices, and they all fail within two months. The company accepted that the products were dying and saw the response from the support team.
I am not sure but few days ago I also tried to call you and I have the same voicemail service. I want to give you a suggestion. Since your Trend Micro Home Network Security station is not working even in the Arris router which is listed in compatible devices, the usual option is a replacement. But since the replacement is also not working, I suggest this:
*Purchase a new Trend Micro Security station in Amazon or in our website. It will give you a brand new station and 1 year subscription.
*After your purchase and activation of the new station, we will merge.
Note: We cannot perform replacement since we have already replaced the previous station. We also cannot refund since its past 30 days. We will add additional 6 months once everything is fixed.
The company says buy another one. Low and behold, I have done this, and it had the same issue, so just a warning, if you are looking for hoke security, do not buy this product it's not worth the headache and waste of m, money for two months of use.
Paid till 2023 but cannot use, scam beware
A automated service called "Mine" had access to my gmail account and sent a email to Trend Micro support requesting deletion of my personal data. My account, info and serial number no longer works. I contacted support so many times and they wont do anything, terrible service.
SCAM!!
SCAM!!! A total scam. The antivirus license key for the maximum security software worked for about two minutes. Then it was announced invalid. No response to any of my e-mails in two months. Digital River just takes the money and claims not being responsible for any of this.

I've had a great experience with Trend Micro in the UAE
The staff I've dealt with has been very professional and polite, which I always appreciate.
No games, just straight-up honesty!
Chat support found a solution
Joyce Ann helped me via the chat box and remote control. Really helpful support. Unfortunately, we did not entirely fix the issue, but we found a quick and easy workaround which suits me.
She suggested a reinstallation of the software and after 40 minutes, was happy to spend longer to help me do this, but it would have taken too long - and the workaround is fine.
First time I've used Trend support and found it to be a good experience.
terrible
terrible, we bought the software from Harvey Norman believing it was something else entirely. We bought laptops and thought it was extra insurance. However it turned out the be cyber security which we don't need. we bought from Harvey Norman in February, and never received the product. Just tried to get a refund and was denied as the 30 days refund period has expired. It isn't like we tried the product and were unsatisfied and wanted a refund within the 30 days which they would have honoured. We never received the product in the first place. They offered us the activation code but we did not need it because as I said, we thought it was insurance. Spoke to several people at trend. Didn't care.
Pretty good virus program and password…
Pretty good virus program and password manager but their support is absolutely dreadful. Be prepared to wait for a lengthy time.
Vielen Dank!
A great and super nice friendly service! My problem with the license, which unfortunately I didn't purchase directly from Trend Micro (I'll be smarter next time), was solved quickly and easily.
Thanks alot!
Could not be worse! Waste of money.
If I could give them a 0 star I would. Do not waste your money on this terrible service. Blocks perfectly legitimate websites and doesn't protect you against websites that are actually malicious. Look elsewhere if you want a antivirus software that actually works.
I have had Trend Micro on my Mac Book…
I have had Trend Micro on my Mac Book Pro laptop for years. After trying to install my second year subscription, it failed to load properly. I downloaded and followed all the instructions, but it stalled at the "Summary" step. Would not accept the serial number they provided in my renewal letter and kept directing me to a window that stated my subscription expired. Technical instructions online did not help and trying to call Technical Support was worthless. I am done with this product and will find a competitor that values my purchase.
10 Year Loyalty Means Nothing
UPDATE: Got a refund which is something, at least.
I have been a loyal customer for the better part of 10 years (I started using Trend Micro security software as a teen). This year after renewing my license for about $90, I factory reset my computer. When trying to install the same program again, it didn't work.
I contacted customer support and to frankly summarise they were incompetent, did not seem to read what I said, lied, took a long time to respond, and have poor English. Even their copy/paste responses are poor English (I got the same paragraph from two different people), which I don't understand.
DETAILED BREAKDOWN:
To contact them, I first filled out a form which included my operating system details, and, the second time I filled out the same form, my ticket number. Entering the chat, both agents I spoke to at separate times disregarded all the prefilled info and asked me for the information they already had again, wasting my time.
Next, the first agent (Joyce Ann Ilaw) asked which version of the installer file I had used. I told her it was Trend Micro Antivirus-11.0.2163, then she linked me to the same version of the installer saying to try that one as it was the most recent one. I didn’t check that it was the same one because I didn’t believe they’d do something so stupid but after trying to install that one and having it freeze just like the first, I checked the version number and it was the same as the one I’d already been trying previously.
While it was frozen, I sent Joyce my Task Monitor stats for CPU usage etc., then force quit the process. She asked me to wait 5 more minutes, to which I explained again that I had dome this multiple times—at one point even leaving my computer for an hour to run the program—and it always remained unresponsive.
Then she asked for my computer stats, licence number for the software, and for me to delete the file, restart my computer, and download a new one. I explained I had already done all those things multiple times to no success. She then asked me if she could remotely access my computer (denied, I’m not giving a stranger access to that for something so simple), then had me use the Trend Micro diagnostic toolkit to delete the temp files, uninstall the program, and restart my computer—assuring me I would receive an email from her where we could keep the conversation going or she would call me because she had my number.
I did the reset, responded to an automated email, no response. No phone call either. So I started the chat process again, this time with one Julius Kristopher Rebuva. Again, he didn’t bother reading the details from the form I had to fill out before starting the chat. Once the chat started I had to give him my ticket number (again) and asked him to read the transcript from the prior chat so we wouldn’t repeat the same diagnostic steps.
He said he did so (a lie), then proceeded to ask me to do the exact same things the previous agent had done, including asking for information I had already told her. Which he would know if he’d actually read the transcripts as he’d said. He also asked me to remote access my computer, which was still a no.
After repeating all the information from the transcripts to update him, he’s now suggesting that my computer is too old to run the very same software that it was running, fully updated, about 7 days ago before I did the factory reset. This is a bug in their installer that they refuse to acknowledge.
At this point I don’t know if I am going to get the refund I asked for but I am sick to my stomach after having spent the last 5 hours talking to incompetent customer “support”. PLEASE avoid them!
P.S Their security software has been great, and I never had a virus on my computer with it.

Misleading Anti Virus Protection Software
Scam rather virus protection developed in Denmark , once you paid them their anti virus software is seriously interfearing with your normal operations severely slowing your computer ! It unnecessarily opening PDF windows telling you downloaded something , they put tracking cookies and spy on your activities , very poor and inefficient customer support and renewal system. Upon complaints they keep repeating themselves with the same answer for weeks eventhough you ignore them, categorically stay away from those scammers !
Just give me the damn virus
Just give me the damn virus. It will slow my computer less than this.
Customer service sent me a VIRUS
They won't respond to emails so I'll share what happened. When I got cover for a second device as soon as I put in code it put the cover on my phone, even though I put code in on a new desktop, at this point I put in a second email address to try and get it to work (... take note here, this bit is important for later, this company never use this address and only got it that day.....) I called customer service, who, after making things a million times more difficult than it should have been informed me that it had been activated on a phone, how I'll never know. Then he wants to remotely get on my computer to fix this issue (which after telling him no and hanging up I fixed in 2 minutes). I complained to the company about this suspicious activity (this dude just happened to be Indian).
Then a couple of days later I get this message sent to the email that they NEVER use. I have contacted the company twice about this email and they will not respond.
I believe my "friendly" customer service sent me a virus (when I wrote this I thought I would be able to uplaod a screen shot).
I did not require any software from them so this email was strange to say the least and the fact that they wont reply, tells me they are SUS.
The message had all of the trend micro logos but instead of being from their normal email address it was from a "no_reply_account", and like I said, they shouldn't be using that email address. It simply read,
Hi,
(My name) wanted to share the following Trend Micro software with you, so you can enjoy your digital life safely. Please do not share this software with others.
It then tells me to click a "download now" button on the device I want to install it on.
I did not need any software, so this could not possibly be more sus, and I surely won't be downloading this or using their company once this runs out. A scammer working for a legit company...wonderful, indeed. Shame on you for not replying Trend Micro and say hi to your scammer for me, I will now be deleting that email address simply because this fool now knows my information. Any more nonsense from you TM and I will be going to authorities, not just leaving a bad review.
What a JOKE.
I only posted this because they did not reply to let me know that it was not a virus.
Stay away !
Very long an complicate software installation, activation key not send through email , containing spyware !

Good service but some issues when I was installing.
I got the "latest" version from their website, when installing it still redownloaded the "latest" version.
when installation completed it found a new update and installed in once again!
some weird stuff but service is good and extremely cheap!
