Top service
I purchased a pair of Solomon quest 4 boots on 27/12 and received it on 29/12, super fast service, they answered my emails promptly, overall I was very happy
especially after I was let down by 2 other websites trying to buy the same item
Item cost £185 in most shops, their price was £140
Excellent buying experience. Fast DPD delivery and hassle free returns. Excellent website and easy to return what more do you need. The prices are also excellent.
Good range of kit at competive prices and, in all sizes. Fast free tracked Royal Mail delivery.
I was a regular Trekitt customer spending over £500 in the last 7 months, and needed a bigger rucksack than my 18 litre Montane Trailblazer heading into the colder months so I opted for the Trailblazer 28LT - but to my surprise when I received it the entry to the water bladder compartment was too small to fit even my 1.8 litre bladder through (which I had also bought from Trekitt) without emptying water out and really having to force it in. On top of this on its only use the chest straps were continually loosening every 10 minutes during my walk (compared to the old pack which they performed fine).
I emailed Trekitt support explaining everything clearly with photo/measurements and a request to exchange for the Trailblazer 30l pack (as I knew it used the same chest straps as my old pack and should take upto a 3 litre bladder like my 18l). I got a template response saying there was high traffic and should get a response within 24 hours, but it took 4 days to reply basically ignoring the chest strap problem and just saying they wanted to compare the stitching of the bladder opening with the rest of the stock - and ended up being the same (which meant nothing to me as it was still not fit for use and I didn't want a straight exchange anyway).
They stated they could accept a return if it was in new condition / tags still attached (which I had already explained it was used once), and they recommend filling up the bladder when it's already inside the bag (still completely ignoring the chest strap fault). I explained this was impossible because the bladder they'd sold me loads from the bottom, and even if it was from the top you would risk getting the bag soaked and wouldn't be able to fill from streams in the middle of a walk.
They then wanted to contact the manufacturer (Montane) "to weigh in on this and give us their thoughts" with no timescale. At this point, frustrated with an unsuable backpack and getting the runaround from emails, I phoned Trekitt voiced my concerns and got put through to a manager Jacob who said they'd send a prepaid return label but was absolutely adamant I had to send it back and wait upto a week to see what Montane said because its their T&Cs. I explained it doesn't matter what Montane say because the backpack is not fit for use and I'm entitled to a full refund at this stage, but was told that they "don't give out refunds willy nilly", that it "was my problem with Montane", and when I complained about the customer service so far he said he told me I'd had good customer service so far even though he literally just asked me a question I'd already answered in the email thread (filling the bladder in the bag) proving he wasn't even aware of the customer service I'd actually received so far.
I sent the pack back and after they received it they took 4 days to send a template response saying it would be 2-4 weeks generally for a manufacturer response (not 1 week as I was told on the phone) and saying it could be even longer blaming the long gone pandemic.
At this point I emailed them exercising my right to reject from the Consumers Right Act which finally got their attention to refund the pack (without an apology). Shame it took 13 days of frustration getting ran round in circles - if I didn't know my rights it could have went on over a month. If Trekitt's customer service was improved I would have happily taken an exchange instead of a refund saving them money in the short term, but most importantly have kept me as a customer spending over the years - but after that experience I'll never order from them again and strongly advise you buy from somewhere else where you are valued.
Excellent price for (good quality) Deuter rucksack.
Trekitt emailed me order confirmation. And emailed me courier (Royal Mail) tracking number. So, I was able to track via Royal Mail. On time delivery. Thanks.
Sent me a faulty item (Inner lining defects on coat). Sent them photos that made it clear what the issue was. Then they just defaulted to standard response to return the item so they could review... (Leaving me without a suitable waterproof coat for an unknown period)... no commitment or timeline to replace the item. Clearly no trust in their customers. Also, no answer on their phone line. Delayed responses by email so dragged the issue on for weeks. They are ok till there's something worng!
The placement of the order was very easy and the price was excellent. I await my order & will give a further review
Ordered a few items from Trekkit over the last 3 years and their service is excellent.Good discounts on products, good customer service and speedy delivery.
Bought an item of clothing from Trekitt but when I went on their site to check on my order it was not showing, I contacted the company and got a speedy reply stating they had some issues and were working on it and reassured me that my order was out for delivery that very day, very impressed with their customer services
Purchased Fjallraven Abisko Lite 1 Tent from Trekitt. As a retailer myself, I do judge another retailer not when everything goes fine, but when there is an issue and how they are willing to resolve that issue. I had an issue not with Trekitt but with the delivery company being unreasonable. I contacted Trekitt Customer Service to basically moan about the issue and guess what they went out of their way to resolve the issue for me. I could not be happier with the product and especially the service I have received on more than one occasion from this most excellent company. Will I be using them again? A resounding yes! Thanks guys
Very friendly, they were very helpful with refund process
Had a delivery problem, not caused by Treckitt, with a recent order. Treckitt customer service were absolutely brilliant. They followed up with the delivery company and when the issue was still not resolved they replaced the lost item.
Can't rate highly enough
Absolutely brilliant service. These guys give lots of information and are happy to point you in the right direction when you need advice. Helped me out with the products I needed and I received all my gear within 48 hours. Absolutely definitely recommend these guys. THANKS 👍🏼
Brilliant bought items on website super fast delivery had to send o e item back no issues quick to refund
Spent a few hundred quid on six items. Kept four, returned two. The returns process was easy, without quibble (I packed the clothes back in the packaging correctly, with labels). I received a refund email two days afterwards. Very easy. I highly recommend Trekitt and will be buying things from them by mail order in future.
Over the last few months I've spent a couple of thousand pounds on various equipment.
I returned a number of times of which two unfortunately didn't have the original labels on there. It was very clear they were brand new and in immaculate condition.
I have been informed they are unable to refund those two items due to their terms & conditions.
I have retuned items with other retailers in the past without labels and had no issues.
I would have thought that having seen I'm a loyal customer, and have spent a significant amount it would have been taken into consideration, however evidently not.
It's a shame as I would continue to spend with Trekitt but will now take my business elsewhere.
I had two issues with recent order from Trekitt - Mountain with Equipment Gaiters. The first one was that I have ordered L size but when I paid I have got the size of M. Quite strange, when I got the second order size L it was not much of the difference to size M - still small. As it was sold for boots up 12, I managed to keep my gaiters on but legs got swollen. The product was on sale, and I have damaged it when put on, however Rebecca has sorted the issue and I have got full refund and postage paid.
Brought several pairs of boots from here now. Amazing customer service via phone and email, and when a pair didn't fit right, they had a no-quibbles return policy and prompt refund processing.
Would highly recommend this store.
Ordered a pair of la Sportiva approach shoes. Got them next day delivery. Fantastic shoes thanks.I’ve Ordered sleeping bags, down jackets you name it from these guys. Always had excellent service
Really great customer service, had a minor issue with an Arcteryx jacket (not Trekitt's fault at all) and Kaleigh was really helpful about getting it resolved. Great prices, everything arrived on time and in good condition, will be back.
