Really disappointing customer service

I'm always keen to support independent retailers/manufacturers but this was a disappointing experience.

Tore my DCF tent six days before a hike and there were limited online options but ordered online from Treadlitegear, aware of the risk that it may not arrive in time.
I dropped them a polite email, stating that I was under time pressure and asking if it was possible they could expedite the order. I was surprised by the response, stating that 'there are forty people ahead of you and I can't do miracles'. When I politely requested a refund, I was told I would never be served again and that it was due to my 'poor planning and unrealistic needs'!

The 'full details in the FAQs' he referred to only stated 'Shipping Details - 5-7 working day dispatch'. I kept the order as I didn't want him to lose out.

Again, I was aware of the risk in the delivery time, and it may have been that the retailer was under stress, but it was an unnecessarily rude response. I'm hoping it was a bad day for him rather than the standard way he deals with customers.
